so does this mean a d4e swap and wipeout for shareholders?
also what happens to any short positions, how do they get closed out? or does the retail provider just pay out at 0p, or wait to see what the d4e swap is then payout at that ratio? or let it all work out and then open the order book again letting retail investors close their positions?

Exactly what I was wondering – I have some sell spreadbets.Can’t close them now.In the interests of both longs and shorts for trading to re-open – position unclear right now.

I suppose they had to let the market know if production was likely to be lower before anyone could buy in the open offer.

They could massively dilute the shareholders [and presumably do a consolidation].Never heard of shareholders being completely wiped out without a liquidation – easier not to.

Yes, Seplat are complicit in the global shorting conspiracy so they can get Afren for a lower price. Yes that’s definitely it.
