Tern – Doctor, heal thyself!
Shares in AIM-listed jam-tomorrow IoT investment company Tern plc (TERN) have been on the rampage again. Having sunk to sub-4p in the wake of its last placing, which had been intended to raise £3 million but only notched up £0.8 million propped up by management support, the stock closed last week at 11.25p, having peaked at 15.75p on Thursday. What gives?

San Leon Energy – proposed special dividend further emphasises confidence: BUY
Updating on San Leon Energy (SLE) earlier this month, we concluded that the shares, despite having recovered somewhat to 19p, still suggested very little for the “growth and progress” CEO Oisin Fanning looked forward “with confidence to updating shareholders on”. They are currently above 23p on the back of a “Proposed Special Dividend” announcement…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Today I laugh with, not at, Zak Mir
I start with a few reflections on recordings I am doing and how lucky I am. there have been a lot of laughs so far today and to his credit the Sith Lord Zak Mir is quite funny. Anyhow, this is all for the Shareprophets Shares Conference where the 70 hours of video content really is, and I say so myself, of a very high quality. If you like bearcast, You really will enjoy what I am producing so book your tickets now HERE. In today's podcast I discuss the latest misguided thoughts of the one global star of the investment world not speaking next Saturday, I refer, of course, to Roger Lawson of ShareSoc, on regulation in the wake of the latest NMC (NMC) news. I then look ata clear failing where the FCA needs to act fast, Akazoo and the role of Tosca Fund. I am on the warpath.

Sell sub prime auto loan shark Credit Acceptance Corporation
The tug of war going on in the markets now between reality and full on Modern Monetary Theory makes the stock market all but uninvestable until it is clear which side prevails. At the moment the latter seems to have the upper hand, but it is early days and I suspect that reality is not done yet. On the short side, many zombie companies which have been propped up since the GFC with artificially low interest rates are now sensing a new lease of life as they rush to the seemingly limitless Covid trough, as moral hazard abounds. There are always exceptions however...

Ouzo for Gabriel Grego & Tom Winnifrith as Akazoo (InternetQ as was) admits its a fraud - Martin Hughes at Tosca, I'm coming for you!
Back in 2015 I demonstrated, without any doubt, that AIM listed InternetQ (INTQ) was a fraud. I doorstepped it in Athens. I crawled all over its bogus websites in Greece. The Greek management and fund manager Martin Hughes of Tosca - a shareholder PA as well as via his fund - responded by taking it private. They then rebranded it as Akazoo and listed it on Nasdaq, Earlier this week Gabriel Grego again exposed it as a fraud. On Friday, the shares were suspended, the CEO fired and investors warned that ALL historic financials may be fiction. The SEC filing below is damning.

Are You Ready for a Big Rise in Share Values? Perhaps You Should Be.
Hello Share Trudgers. Do you need cheering up this weekend? Are you still fearful for your shares? Are you getting ready to snap and sell the lot? Well, I’m not selling any stock at the moment. Not unless some really dire news affects a company individually. Ok, let’s start with reasons to think most of our shares will soon rise.

SUPPing at the cup of failure - former WPCT releases results
Schroder UK Public Private Trust (SUPP) - formerly disgraced Neil Woodford’s Patient Capital Trust (WPCT) - has released its FY19 numbers and the report is truly a dog’s breakfast. It is a shambles: the manager has gone but the board should be sacked at once.

Ariana – Bank paid off and more excitements: still a multibagger from here
AIM-listed Turkish gold-miner Ariana (AAU) has announced that the bank loan to build its Kiziltepe plant has now been fully paid of – all on time and according to schedule. Thus all the cashflow from the Kiziltepe plant will now be available for reinvestment or distribution to Ariana and its Joint-venture partner Proccea. Great news on all fronts – much as expected, but head honcho Kerim Sener and his team have done really well. But there is more good news……

Hummingbird Resources – well set for a gold price environment which looks set to be very strong?
There has been some strong gold-related share price rises in recent weeks – we recently noting here Bluebird Merchant Ventures and last month’s tip of the month Trans-Siberian Gold is already comfortably up from the then 60p. Shares in Hummingbird Resources (HUM) have also recently been rising... but a current 28p offer price compares to more than 24p reached in January and still below what was reached in February despite gold now comfortably higher and a recent “Q1 2020 Production Results and Operational Update”...

The most lamentable lame-arse corporate virtue signalling anywhere - UK Oil & Gas fights Covid -19. LMFAO
The company's oily chairman Lyin' Steve Sanderson has dissembled about how paltry is the cut he has temporarily taken in his £700,000 annual pay package. Shareholders have lost 97% of their cash in less than 3 years and have just been diluted again with a bailout placing this week so what does AIM dog UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) do? Its latest tweet is just hilarious. Firstly what is the last thing the world needs now?

The Brutal way British Airways is firing more than 25% of its captains and pilots - letter to Union in full
British Airways currently empliys 4,346 captains and pilots. By Christmas it will have fired more than a quarter of them. And there will be no generous payoffs, just the bare minimum statutory notice period. The Airline says in a letter to the pilots union that if it does not act this way it will threaten its very future. The language is stark and a reminder that anyone predicting a V shaped economic recovery is dreaming.

Shoe Zone – a 2:58pm “Result of GM and Interim Update”, now in a better position?…
Previously writing on value footwear retailer Shoe Zone (SHOE), I concluded on a 5:05pm “Proposed Cancellation of Dividend / COVID-19 Update” and with the shares at 75p that there particularly not a propitious position presently and it looks safest to sell / avoid. The shares have since been up to around 90p but are currently back below 80p following a “Result of GM and Interim Update”…
