From bitter experience I can tell you that Tripadvisor is lying. I demonstrated why reviews were bogus ( an iii post from a chap saying here is a bogus review I posted), reviews saying manager male, claiming pizza cooked downstairs etc. And TA not only failed to action that but when I posted an owner reply to a bogus post ( as TA told me to do) demonstrating why it was bogus, TA blocked it because I was alleging an illegal act.

Tom – perhaps it could be argued convincingly that TA should be investigated for facilitating trade libel (though I’m still not sure if technically it’s slander if the medium is electronic) if they have been presented with evidence of malicious intent as strong as that and failed to act on it. I’m clearly (given my first bracketed comment) not a lawyer, though, so could be talking out of my rear. (This is NOT covered by legitimate concepts of free speech, of course, before anyone makes accusations of double standards!)
Mind you, imagine the precedent if successful – lawyers specialising in such matters would be orgasmic for a year (so perhaps you should dismiss the suggestion on these grounds alone).

That is what the Mrs gave me for Christmas, It is on full blast and i am still freezing.
Spaggers I do not believe in libel really. What will do for TA in the end is that folks will stop using it as so many of the reviews good or bad are bogus. I remember trekking 2 miles to the top rated TA place in Napfio and it was unbelievably basic. I know its reviews are largely shite and so do others which is why fewer folks will use it/take it seriously and it will perish. And I will dance on its grave.

Spent three day’s between Christmas and New Year in hospital fighting the dreaded thing and its knocked me for six! After mega courses of antibiotics just beginning to feel slightly better.
It strikes without warning, so my advise, stay out the garage and keep warm!

…..you mentioned sell if you can get your dealing costs and a packet of crisps. I’ve heard that before! When quindell was around 29p. That advise was certainly wrong since it has touched £1.18. So that prophecy – with hindsight – was objectively wrong. Secondly convinced the shares would be suspended you treated us to a fictional drama in the nation’s kitchens of husbands finally at the last moment disclosing their guilty secret of a far larger or wholly undisclosed qpp shareholding. That was wrong too. You’ve called it right more often. But your fallible and many of your assumptions might be mistaken. I note no reference to 0p but a rights issue to plod the company along. I know you don’t care much for tosca but they’ve spent real money. And not morons. So what do they know that you don’t?

Tom …………. take a look at FTE ………… they issued an RNS announcing resource upgrade was coming yesterday and thus required to be suspended on ASX . Today they announced loan note conversion at 0.10p and unsuspended on ASX ………….with no mention of resourse upgrade . Very naughty .

Good guess. Led astray by 3 different young ladies last night and am rather regretting that nightcap of half a pint of Baileys. But I did also have a company meeting this am. Am now on the case.

Clowns on the LSE board spreading a rumour of a £1.5 Billion bid for QLS. Would would pay 5x the current market cap for part of the company which is currently being audited by an independent company?
