Rangers (RFC) has announced plans to hold an EGM to vote on a wholesale change of board. The plans are a disgrace, for the EGM is to be held in London at a venue that can hold only 500. Most Rangers shareholders live in Glasgow. This appears a deliberate attempt by Rangers and its shamed financial adviser Mr Paul Shackleton of WH Ireland to disenfranchise fans.

dave green, dave i am a celtic supporter and as one supporter to another you seem like the right man to get toms views too the rangers supporters so they are informed about their options to save this great club from the scumbags who will strip it to the bone and leave the carcass to the diehard supporters,these people need to be stopped once and for all,maybe you are on facebook,twitter,etc maybe you have kids who would have loads of facebook friends get them to spread the word,post toms letter on facebook twitter or wherever,

Paul Shackleton may be a poor NOMAD but calling him at home at the weekend is harassment. As you well know, the venue for a company’s AGM is completely up to company management (i.e. Rangers) and has bugger all to do with the WHI Ireland. You would do well to educate the Rangers bray of morons rather than incite them as they are a vicious mob and people (in this case Paul Shackleton) have the genuine possibility of getting hurt.

Also, moving the board venue to London was clearly designed to try and minimise the farce that is Rangers PLC but it doesn’t mean the process won’t be legal or lead to a different outcome. This was simply sensible politics in the same way that you wouldn’t hold a murder trial in the victims house.
Last time the AGM was held in the football pitch (?) which was just plain stupid and gave rise to the horrible spectacle of infantile chanting followed by violent mobs invading the stadium offices. Yes, minority voices/votes should be heard and counted but no, they are not more important than the majority, and in this case the majority is held by a very few individuals.
PPS – Dave King is a convicted tax fraudster and serial liar. If you are going to pillory Rob Terry and co for being crooks it seems weird that he is given a green light just because he’s a ‘fan’. That’s plain bollocks mate.
