Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
Yes I know that it has just had a profits warning and that the old adage is that warnings come in threes. But I do not expect that to be the case with Stanley Gibbons (SGI) and so it is my third share tip for Easter at 249p.

for transparency shouldn’t the disclaimer say this is in your nifty50 portfolio?
TW Note: Fool - are you now demanding that I say in an article if I have tipped it elsewhere? Why should I? I declare if I own a stock. I don't own this. FFS just go jerk off and calm downwildrides
Stamp collecting is going out of fashion again …….. oh dear …………. I am so upset . Apparently the Arabs have finally realised that stamps are terminally boring and that trashing lambos , fezzers and mackers around the desert is much more fun.
Anyway ………. I am off trainspotting ……… apparently there is some steam on the mainline north today .

Wildrides.
I don’t agree, stamp auctions (worldwide) are booming, the right ones anyway. The last 3 UK auctions I attended were standing room only.
As always good quality material sells, in certain countries (China for example) price increases have been exponential. I do accept that young kiddie collecting is a thing of the past, here anyway, but not abroad.
I own shares in this stock, they are one of two shares I own and bought before I knew of Shareprophets, the other is OBT, but I am old OBT not new.
I sell stamps to Gibbons, as I am downsizing my large lifelong collection.
I have put feelers out to find out what this high value material is, if I can find that out, I could make a pretty accurate view as to whether they will actually sell it. High rollers in the stamp world, are fickle, all to often it is a long way from mouth to Chequebook.
Any other dealership that comes up with this premise and i would discount it, but this is Gibbons, and they are trustful, if they say it will sell, I accept their word, anyone else and I wouldn’t.

Having just read this whilst stuck on my delayed train, how I’m now pining for those childhood days of philatelic pursuits: watermark detectors, perforation gauges and resplendent, curiously shaped specimens from Mongolia (triangular as I recall). I wish SG very well, with thanks for the memories.
Phil – you are surely a gentleman and a scholar!
