Disclosure: I own shares in one or more of the stocks mentioned. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
The share blogger of the year Brokerman Dan is calling on investors to boycott this website because we accused him of over-promoting Sefton before dumping most of his shares (five days after tweeting It's back to the rumour mill on #SER for me chaps! Am I selling? Not on your life. Tick! Tock! Goes the Stryker clock!) and for pointing out that his pal Chris Oil committed blatant market abuse before dumping ALL his Sefton stock. Whatever. IF YOU SUPPORT MARKET ABUSE PLEASE BOYCOTT THIS SITE AND BLOCK BOTH OF US ON TWITTER. However Dan makes a few other points.

Chris Oil also seems to have started selling his shares in XTR after claiming the company was worth 50m. Market cap currently 16m. Maybe he’s changed his mind.

Good piece by both of you, glad to hear you and Ben are cool too.
This fucking NEW issue is sending ripples further and wide. Would be awful to see it affect ShareProphets after all the hard work and good stuff over the last few years. Hugely enjoyable to read and listen too.
Phew, I think it will be meltdown for everyone if WRN news comes today! #toomuchshitgoingdown

Thanks for clearing things up guys.
As for Chris oil, he has made me money in the past and it was my own personal choice to follow him. I looked at sefton and new world oil and gas and took the personal decision to stay off.
BMD has done a great job at sefton, but there has always been a gut feeling I have had about it to stay off and likewise new world oil& gas.
As for telling people to purchase stock and then selling themselves, that is not on. The financial industry is very corrupt as it is and investors find it hard to find people to trust.

Broken man Dan ‘s venomous output arrived in my inbox today . Blimey he really has got his knickers in the twist . He seems to misunderstand the difference between editorial copy and advertising , and also the concept of independent commentary ( ie that in which you do not hold a share holding ) being important to the gravitas a writers output receives from the reader . So far as I can tell his output seems to me to be the pot calling the kettle black . I am happy that most of the output of SP is not biased by a current holding of the writer . More importantly, positions are declared on this site at the top of the piece and I am quite capable of assessing the weight of the argument put forward by the writer accordingly . Being one of the thicker SP readers I am equally sure the other readers of SP are able to do this equally well . We are not children after all . Even more puzzling is the way Broken Man Dan appears to equate running a show and renting out stands with some sort of copy bribery . I am sure Tom and associates running said shows would rather that the likes of QPP and the China frauds did not want to attend …….. but if they do ……… that is life and free speech .

I don’t know much about Sefton, but over these years I have come to know a little about people.
The only people who do something for free are usually those who do it for charity or for each other.
I have never known anyone work for a company for nothing and when Dan Levi fessed to working for Sefton for a quid a quarter, i never for one moment ever believed he would be the first.
I think you should ban people who want to ban things and boycott people who want to boycott things, as far as I am concerned he can fuck off.

Your protection of Andrew Bell the wealth destroyer does raise some questions that BMD has alluded to…
TW Note - please note last bearcast comment on RRR. Not exactly glowing.James
I posted this today of LSE BB and was accused of being TW!
I am afraid SER is a text book exposition of all that is wrong with AIM listed stocks. Leaving behind the alleged fraud and misfeasance committed by previous management which almost bought SER to its knees we are now endowed with the next chapter of this sorry tale.
An individual blogger and tweeter, in reality a total stranger to most shareholders by both his current and previous names arrive at the scene, not on horseback with a shiny shield and sword but rather by ambulance with a few close chums in tow to sweep up the scene behind.
Whilst anyone is fully entitled to be paid £50,000 for flying to Colorado and having to bear headaches due to the altitude and a few sorry looking take outs. What however is not reasonable or fair in anyone’s book,is that person spurting out like a well out of control, and at every opportunity, that he was the lowest paid executive in any AIM listed company, earning just £1 per month.
In life you must learn quickly from lessons, and lesson number one is never trust anyone that says one thing and does another. You must mark his card and stick to your guns.
Now we have SER controlled by a 29 year old accountant who I am sure is very capable but her greatest achievement cited to date seems to be having worked on an oil rig for a few months – work that one out?
Investors now seem to believe that SER has achieved the Holy Grail in that it can create wealth simply by making over hyped announcements through various social media outlets about making future announcements. A proxy RNS system has thus been borne and it’s a damn sight more fun for the BB punters.
I am sorry but this has been a rocket fueled pump and dump exercise , whilst this does not prevent the luckier gamblers from amongst us making a turn, most will end up out of pocket and no doubt chastising others for their misfortunes at a later date.
If anyone feels disposing of 60 million shares against the backdrop of the type of information, views and leaks disseminated by both the same and connected individuals is an act of de-risking, I would suggest they are even more gullible than those believing the hype that has been peddled.
Recognise the fact, what these people are very, very good at, is not creating value, is not investment analysis- it is exploiting the various social media platforms available, for their own personal gain.
They are the modern day snake fish oil salesman.
DUCK AND DIVE
It has been obvious since April 28 that Levi was going to dump SER shares. That’s when an RNS alerted us to the fact that he had exercised his options over 65m shares at 0.05p each. The only possible reason for exercising the options was to flog them so I quickly followed suit and dumped my idealistic investment (pocketing over £50k in profit, thank you) and other PIs with half a brain will have done the same.
Not that SER is necessarily doomed but it does look as though substantive news about outgoing and incoming assets is some way off and the SP may now fester until it comes.
Though richer, I am disappointed. I had thought that Levi’s SER rescue was one of the great romantic stories of our time. But heck, even Castro is now selling out to the West.
Levi will doubtless have a library of concocted stories to explain to his still-gullible followers how this wasn’t really a conversion to crony capitalism at the expense of the mugs he had persuaded to buy into SER. But I won’t believe a word of it and nor will many of his former followers. This was not a trick that can be pulled more than once.

What we are seeing here is the tangible difference between a blogger (BMD) and a journalist (TW et al) with a blog. No un-debentured journalist would ever argue for the boycott or curtailment of free speech
