Perhaps that is because I was the 2nd pair of eyes on other folks work, there was no second pair on mine. But it is such kind words which make me think all the more that my decision is the right one. Very glad not to have to deal with nasty folk like you for a good while

I echo pretty much all of the above and wish you all well. Under the circumstances, taking a back seat is absolutely the right thing to do – time is indeed too precious and, unlike most financial losses at the hands of the unscrupulous, cannot be recovered.

Oh …….. forgot to mention the quality insults and swearing that I have enjoyed greatly . At times I have laughed like a drain …….. even when made the target . So refreshingly non PC and comedic at times .
Most of my trading is done in my kitchen on a batch of lappies . As you may imagine visitors of many descriptions cross our threshold into our kitchen , just as in most households. However in doing so many have been inadvertently exposing themselves to your “Bear Casts” being played at the time . It is a universal truth that all hearing them have cracked a smile or laughed like a drain . Even a prim and proper religious lady friend of my wife was observed to stifle a titter . Quite remarkable .

I applaud your decision. I recently lost my father. I live abroad and commitments here prevented a prolonged period of time with him when we knew his fate. I envy your opportunity. Having one’s own children gives us insight into the sacrifices one’s parents make for us, and that typically happens far too late in life. Your fondness for your own father clearly comes across in the podcasts. What a strange age we live in when we feel a bond to a person that we have never met and who talks to us about the relatively trivial dealings of the stock market, but I suspect you have become part of many of our lives. Tom, you are a rare man of integrity and I wish you and your father well in what will be a diificult time. I look forward to having you back when the time is right.

One question, apart from you probably being incredibly occupied with uncovering more recent frauds, why are many of those Worthington Group articles still withdrawn – given the injunction was lifted? So many just say “The contents of this article have had to be withdrawn – on a temporary basis because of an interim injunction granted to Mr Aiden Earley.”

I only came across your site recently having stumbled into Afren at 90p. Thank Christ for that. I ended up making a couple of grand. The way you take on the scum is like a breath of fresh air and, as I’ve said before, anyone who doesn’t check out this site before investing in an AIM company needs a yellow van.

So now all the crap and threats and pressure passes over to Ben eh… I wonder how long he can hold out? As Husbex said though, why are a number of the Worthington articles and emails you published still redacted if the injunction is lifted and Earley and Ware were proved to be in the wrong? I’d like to add my best wishes for your semi-sabbatical. You’ve certainly earned a break, and family comes first, as others have said.
I’m glad the bearcasts will continue, I thoroughly enjoy your unique take on things, and often had a good chuckle at something extreme or inappropriate in a bearcast! So 3-4 per week will be enough to give me my fix!!!

Thanks for all the kind messages. On various points:
1. I am sure Nigel & Ben will keep up the good fight.
2. I am not quitting. Will aim to do 3-4 bearcasts a week and the odd piece when I feel the urge. Have a few www problems in Greece so cannot guarantee anything this week but back in UK on Friday and will be up to speed then.
3. I do need a break. Am looking forward to my father helping me learn Greek and work on the novel. But am sure that I will be itching to get back to full time work after a few weeks. But there are other priorities.
