PE you give is way out as many more shares in issue going forward…your eps based on weighted H1 15.2m shares but now 23.7m post IPO.

Good article on a very interesting company, operating in a pretty resilient fractured niche market, which should offer plenty of growth opportunities as you’ve highlighted.
I’ve added a small number of shares to my portfolio in confidence they will perform in similar manner to those two other recent IPO’s winners, operating in similar niche markets – Pets at Home and Fevertree.
Fingers crossed!

Thought you might like this one Gary. It’s certainly an interesting proposition and I shall have to look into it further.

I’d be wary of a company concerned with fishing severely overestimating their profit margins :-). And sorry to be somewhat off-topic but I just LOVE River Monsters with Jeremy Wade.

British Beef,
Apologies, based my calculation on the EPS figure that i took from the accounts and as you say the number of shares in issue is greater now (I think I had it at around 17.5 then revised my calculation when i double checked the EPS). Will probably get a clearer picture after the next financials!
Alcira/TheMadStork,
It is a market that i know fairly well and whilst a lot of the small retailers are doing very badly, the larger ones are doing well (Sports Direct is a good example with the fishing sections being added to all their new superstores). A large amount of money is spent on angling every year (don’t have an exact figure to hand – the Angling Trades Association would have one if anyone wants to have a look) and I think the successful companies like this one will ultimately grab a bigger share of that market.
It isn’t one that will rocket overnight – then again it won’t crash either -and i probably will end up taking a few myself at some point – definitely a long term hold though.
J P Spaghetti,
Yes that is a great series and have fished with Jeremy and also helped out with info on a few destinations he hadn’t been to before. I’m off to Suriname for 6 weeks myself from mid-September chasing piraiba catfish – love the place and have spent a fair bit of time there. Miles of unspoilt jungle and rivers – although starting to see some changes, in a bad way, as a result of gold mining and logging.
