Breaking news and expert analysis on fast-moving AIM and LSE listed shares

Having been warned off by the thuggish PR to David Lenigas (HERE) I have asked AIM Regulation to get the low down on Big Dave's trades or otherwise in LGO Energy (see HERE). And then what next? Aha Octagonal (OCT), an AIM listed company where the aforementioned Mr David Lenigas is involved - needless to say its shares have slumped. Then it is onto Nanoco (NANO) and Wandisco (WAND) as well as Lonmin (LMI). Finally I commend to you last night's BBC programme by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall on waste and the supermarkets. Can Malcolm Stacey reallysay the are ethical investments? I commend you all to watch it. Remember I grew up in a hippie self-sufficent family so maybe I am biased but I was horrified.

Totally agree with your disgust re: food waste. Morrisons test of shoppers preferences ~ nice straight courgettes at same price as (clearly old stock) non perfect ones ~ was totally pathetic and disingenuous…. of course shoppers will go for nice looking ones vs rotten stock or even just misshapen ones if priced the same. Supermarkets could use non-perfect sized veg as their own / economy brand and perfect stock as the premium offering. Less waste, more fruit & veg consumption, better deal for farmers and fewer lard arses/heart attack candidates.

An enjoyable cast and my wife tells me I only nodded off once during a Dell Boy Lemongas portion . Dont take it personally , its an age related thing …………… stuff has to be really riveting after lunch or I just nod off and wake up as you say good bye ;-) The bit on food was great and I can testify to the fact that farmers have a really tough deal from the supermarkets as I spent a good portion of my working life specializing in preparing management accounts for Agricultural SME businesses . Dairy farmers have been exploited year after year since the mid nineties . I can remember the good times when dairy farmers made a profit back in the nineties .Back then they were getting paid 28 pence a litre for wholesale milk sales . here we are in the 2015 and they are getting about 23 or 24 pence wholesale per litre I believe . That is below the cost of production ………. well below . These dairy farmers have been living off their assets for many many years . To make money from producing milk these days you have to have a dairy farm very near a town , your own bottling plant , and your own milk float and door step delivery service . Then you can just about survive on the margins between wholesale price and doorstep delivery retail price ( but only with a good portion of unpaid family labour to do most of the work ). Of course cheap Irish and French milk does not help matters . You would not farm for money these days ……… its simply just a lifestyle choice only .

ROGUE capitalism at work, rather like your rogue ex friends and associates, we have all had them..Capitalism is hardly altruistic, it exploits and institutionalizes,an extension of ourselves as a species, do you think it gives a fuck about unbalances, and distortions. like the shape of a carrot or parsnip, or in the wider context wealth disparity.As for supermarkets, they are the organ of this, and we all unwittingly, or not subscribe to it. This not news, or new, its history.
