In today's podcast I start with my thoughts on the NHS. Then it is onto CDialogues (CDOG), blinkx (BLNX) and Havelock Europa (HVE). Finally a few more words on Gulf Keystone (GKP), Alba (ALBA) and Horse Hill.

Err ……….. we appear to have been cut off at the word “Finally” in true soap opera style . Perhaps you could reveal all tomorrow !

I thought the blinkx trading statement was fairly positive. It looks like it has turned the corner and I would expect it to generate cash (excluding the effect of any acquisitions) in the financial year ending 31 March 2017.
Happy to have a £20 wager to that effect with you Tom…

Finally? Well DL’s monitor must still be in suspense!

Tom,
You should give up smoking to avoid paying all the tax and to live longer to get more on your state pension. If you die before you draw it you get nothing back! You can still cost the NHS a fortune dying at 85 from a non smoking related disease. However if you are determined to save the tax payer a fortune by killing yourself early whilst paying loads of tax on fags then spark up in the open field – they can’t enforce their fascist rules. Take a flask of decent coffee with you next time. The parking charges are tough shit, there are some schemes to get the money back in certain circumstances, but it is not worth the hassle.
Yes the bearcast does run all the way through now.
Daniel Victor
Sadly, our underfunded hospitals have little choice but to grab whatever short-term revenue they can.Car parks that aren’t in a field are even worse news as you wind up getting a fine for being in the wrong space.I suppose forbidding smoking is regarded as being on-message.

Tom, Perhaps you get the Midweek Herald at Shipston. If not, of interest perhaps is today’s headline ‘MP BANKS 20K A MONTH AS OIL FIRM EXECUTIVE’ Gulf Keystone Petroleum is the oil firm which operates in his native Kurdistan region of Iraq. The MP is Nadhim Zahawi the MP for Stratford-on-Avon. In Sept he also got £52K back pay for 210 hours of work. On top of his £67K MP salary he gets another £3.3K per month for 7 hours work for SThree, an international recruitment business where he attends a monthly board meeting. Hospital parking is a joke we have been going the last two weeks and they said they have no more week passes left so it costs us £5.60 a day at Russell hall a hospital in Dudley, Anyway R4E I was pissed off with the placing price but cannot believe people who say you ramp stock for Nigel Wray, that’s a bigger joke than hospital parking. I think Nigel Wray would make a better job of running this country than any prime-ministers and hope he as the input in R4E to make the small shareholder good money on their investment. Its a same they did not clear the debt on the placing. and only raise a small amount with a lot of paper
