I think he’s right in that the average press share tipster is very poor. BUT there are honorable exceptions, and SHAREPROPHETS is probably one of them. I am just as cautious looking at any and all ‘BUY’ tips and never buy without doing my own research, that way I have only myself to blame! However, on this site you have carved out a niche in the dire warnings dept and of those I unreservedly take note. I would buy nothing that is given one of your ‘look-out’ write-ups and I thank-you for them. Share tipping works both ways- for and against; both can be equally useful.

I have followed your and the teams comments regarding buying and selling stocks avidly.
I can state, honestly, I’ve saved and made substantial amounts following ShareProphets.
Knowledge is power ……. the knowledge and investing experience of the contributors to ShareProphets is a powerful weapon in helping point amateur’s, such as I, in the right direction in making more informed decisions.
As frequently recognised even by the sites most vocal critics ——- ShareProphets get it right more often than not ——- that’s a plaudit, well earned and verifiable!
Noting the outstanding returns in excess of 20% on stock recommendations together with the financial forensic journalistic investigations, highlighting wrongdoings, make the ShareProphets offer totally unique ……… instead of making feeble criticism’s, we ought be thankful its ruddy free!!!!!!

Nothing personal: I ignore all tips everywhere since whatever assurances are given, I have no way of knowing what really motivates them. Happily, ShareProphets has much more to offer than tips which is why I have been a reader and supporter since the beginning (as TW surely knows – but he probably picked on my comment because it gave him a handy peg on which to hang a plug for the latest subscriber-only share tip)…and I would have to subscribe if that were ever to become the business model here.
When I was young, my elder brother used to take me racing at Kempton Park where I often saw a colourful character called Prince Monolulu waving sealed envelopes and shouting “I gotta horse!”. He used to demand £5 for one of his envelopes and mug punters were invariably no better off than they would have been if they had picked a nag themselves. And even then I wondered why a great tipster had to brave the wind and the rain to sell a few envelopes when he would surely be sunning himself on his yacht in the Med if he simply backed his own judgement.
Share tipping is even more dubious in my view since some tipsters undoubtedly do profit from their readers’ losses. Best avoided altogether.

My dad used to get tips on horses when we were kids and I think one in 5 would win. It was OK if the first one was a winner but unless you have deep pockets forget horse racing. The phone line one was the best they charged my Dad for the information then they charged him for a phone call at about a £1 a minute. My dad also kept the postman in a job because they must have sold his detail to every Tipster in the country. Lol.

Recouped all my losses due to following the sith and “billion barrels” ramps , now am up thanks to shareprofits. Nuff said.

bet theres a catch in that 20% returns claim, like thats the realised return on the ones sold. theres always a catch wit tipsters they’re slippery eels

Duck and Dive, my dad remembers them people with a £5 envelope. He bought one and his mate bought one coming out the toilets. The two envelopes had different horses and the both lost. He was not sure it was kempton but he remembered the envelopes..My dad lost more for paying for tips than he did betting. Lol.

@David Russell: he probably also remembers all the tipsters advertising in the Sporting Life. They all claimed to make huge profits. I have met numerous horse trainers over the years and even they don’t know when their horses are going to win.
