Paul Scott disappointed his army of fans with a refusal to pen a drunken 3 AM blog this Christmas. Shame. Shame. Instead he penned a very sober slating of the quoted brokers prompted by the profits warning from Panmure Gordon (PMR). I have been saying for ages that this sector is uninvestable and but Paul puts it far more clearly.

Hear, hear. I would only add that as brokers are increasingly reduced to accepting equity in lieu of fees from AIM’s cash-strapped fundraisers, they are pulled closer to the vortex of the scam by having to dump their shares into the ramp. But with most ramps falling decidedly flat, they often can’t even get their fees back…unless they shorted of course.
I’m sure there must be some good, honourable, ethical brokers out there but it’s no longer a level playing field for them so their numbers must be dwindling by the day.
