INVST is a new platform claiming to allow retail investors to invest in placings with City brokers. The company presented at Gold & Bears as you can see here but its formal launch today really does not make you trust the folks at INVST at all since it is materially less than transparent.

You have got to be joking! Have I misunderstood? The broker puts you into every shite deal he has once you have put your money in? “leading City Corporate broker, Peterhouse Corporate Finance Limited” certainly never seem to be short of shite deals and no doubt even more shite clients will come flocking to their door if enough are dumb enough to spunk their money in to this. Should be renamed Lambs-to-the-Slaughter-for-PIs.com
Is the “perfect storm” they are addressing the one where even the bucket shops don’t want to put their money in as the discount gets eroded too quickly to flip the whole lot at a profit, so they are cutting out the middle man to dump the shit on PIs direct without even asking them whether they want any of it. The Teathers app has its drawbacks, but at least you decide what you want to buy and how much (whilst sitting on the toilet using your I Phone).
