Back to shares and I discuss what is real asset backing and what is it worth with relation to Allied Minds (ALM) and Cambian (CMBN) and a piss poor trading statement from Tungsten (TUNG). I express some displeasure with MX Oil (MXO), now off any buy list, and then move onto Servision (SEV) which is heading to where Motive TV (MTV) is now - off another 50% at 0.00p

ALM was pitched as a sell on Shareprophets at £7.20 bid last April. Still a bit further to go to reach a reasonable risk-adjusted fair value.

Not only is it Pancake day it’s my birthday!, and not only am I 48 today I have a bloody toothache since last night.
I haven’t got the energy to do some research on BNR and Afpo but I’ll get round to it, I need cheering up the pain is pissing me off!! I feel sorry for anyone crossing me today.
If you get chance, a happy birthday mention on next Bearcast would certainly make me feel better!!
Re Asset backing….my opinion is how liquid is asset and what would someone pay you for it! today.
Re Private companies have you noticed the increasing number of crowdfunded and funding circle businesses are getting into financial trouble and going down the plug hole…

MTR put out an RNS at no-one-is-watching o’clock in which they describe paying for services in shares.
Is it any different to what MX oil have done to their existing shareholders???

The elephant in the ALM board room is Woodford (not ‘some VC fund’) who is pumping up the NAV on every turn. Since the WPCT holding is on MAX he has to also shovel it into the subsidiary unquoteds. And that is primarily where the shenanigans are going on with the maths.
