  1. Jim fixed it for me to milk a cow blindfolded !!… I never knew milk was salty straight from the udder?

  2. Got any more of those mutilated Iraqi children videos Tony?

  3. “I abused lots of underage girls and got a knighthood”
“That’s nothing, I shafted an entire country and made millions”

  4. Really poor taste, what has this to do with Shares? this would be best left on tomwinnifrith.com, there are many victims who would not believe that what has happened to them could be taken so light heartedly. I get the banter with Tony but really you are offending those that have suffered and offending me and many other who empathise with what the victims have been through , don’t give me the “you don’t have to read it” “free speech” nonsense I came on a share site not a lets make banter out of a paedophile site

  5. Simple Moving Avarice

“Tony – the Devil has sent me back up from Hell to let you know he’s ‘fixed it’ for you to be exonerated of any war crimes. But it’s going to cost you your first-born.”

“That’s great news. When you get back, say ‘Hi’ to Saddam and Gaddafi for me.”

  6. Stuart Kaplan

I’m with Gaz3003 on this I’m afraid Tom. This is the sort of ‘banter’ I’d expect from Jabba. You’re better than this.

  7. “Right-Oh! folks. Having got your Wellies on. Apparently the Pheasants or Foxes or some other arbitrary Wildlife is in the Trees ahead. All we have to do is tramp through it making lots of noise and the toffs on the other side will pick the beggars off with their Shot Guns.”

  8. Jimmy Savile celebrates with Tony Blair when Lord Chilcott finds that Tony Blackburn should take sole responsibility for the Iraqi War as well.

  9. Kin ‘ell Gaz, lighten up. I think we would all agree that pedophiles should be hung up by the toe-nails, but if you can laugh at the worst the world has to throw at you, then you at least have a chance of not being doomed to a life of misery

  10. Gaz303 & Stuart

I worked on Fleet Street in the 90s. Everyone knew Savile was a nonce. Everyone in the media ad politics. The scandal and outrage here is that no-one did anything to stop it but also that folks like Blair who knew the ghastly truth cosied up to the pervert because they thought they would look good. As such i keeping that matter to the fore I have no regrets on running this article.

As to this being a shares only website… It is a shares website but we do stray now and again – both Malcolm and I touch on other matters when we wish to. So no apologies there either although I understand what you both say I disagree with you for the reason stated above.

  11. Simple Moving Avarice

“I feel the hand of history upon my shoulders, I really do.”

    “Actually that wasn’t my hand.”

  12. More than a bit hypocritical given your support for Putin and Assad and by default their appalling war crimes . If you were there on fleet street and knew why then did you not “call it “ and out him ?

  13. Tom,
Your comment would have made a far better story than your caption contest, or even your comment to give some context as to why you are running the article. I still believe it is as immoral as David Lenigas comments aimed at mental health, accepting that DL aimed his comments at the victims and certainly know you have not been vindictive, but the hurt to a victim is still the same.

  14. J P Spaghetti

The hypocrisy of society’s attitude to such (what’s a suitable term – scandals doesn’t begin to cut it?) monstrous shite in the past few decades is beyond galling. I watched some of the reportage before concerning Stuart Hall and mention was made of his ‘dalliances’ with teenage girls? Huh?! No defence of him by my but I remember The Scumbag Sun counting down the days to when a child would hit the magic 16 so they could pay her to get her paps out on page 3. That was the mid- to late 80s. Was Bill Wyman’s activity with Mandy Smith “statutory”? And as for a fair swathe of 70s TV in general…

I also heard today some solicitor had pressed to make it a legal requirement to report suspected child abuse. Jesus H Christ – how dangerous, stupid and counterproductive (and perhaps – even cynically – self-serving) is that? If one has valid concerns OF COURSE they should be reported. If there’s GENUINE proof (not just evidence – I remember that unfortunate paediatrician a few years back) perhaps even after…actually, maybe I’d best not continue with that line of thought and merely imagine what I’d like to do to such perpetrators. But to be criminalised for not reporting a mere suspicion? How many accusations would need to be proven groundless before we return to the bad old days. Howl, howl, howl…!

  15. Drunken Sailor

    Wildes,

There is a big difference between criticising the way the west has dealt with Assad and Putin (and others) and supporting people like Assad and Putin.

There are lots of evil fuckers in this world, some of whom have immense power and confronting them with even more power has dire consequences for millions of innocent people. Removing one evil fucker just creates a vacuum for other evil fuckers to fill, so some times it is better the devil you know and doing a deal with that devil to curb their evil is better than opening Pandora’s box.

There is no excuse however for not dealing with Sa vile whilst he was alive.

I am glad Saddam Hussein got strung up in the end. However the pain and misery caused by Tony and Gee Dubya’s phoney and illegal war was a price not worth paying. The suppression of the Chilcott report is a disgrace in exactly the same way that doing nothing about Sa vile until after he was dead is a disgrace. Phoney Tony has no real power now and the lessons need to be learned from what he has done and he should face fair trial and if found guilty punishment for it, rather than still jetting off round the world with the wicked witch in tow charming everyone with his smile. Yes there are others still in positions of power who would be embarrassed by Chilcott and lose that power and may be need to face trial too. So what the truth needs to come out and the lessons be learned.

What sort of chaos would Trump cause in the world with his attitude if, as seems likely, he does become the most powerful man in the world?

  16. Oh dear Tom, opening a Pandora’s box of morality, and who and how done its.
I started writing a long, honest ,genuine monologue, but the way I feel about humanity, I can’t be fucking arsed, suffice to say, all the usual suspects, and all the usual drivel.

  17. Drunk
are you sure you are not Whinning Froth writing under a different name ? You seem to spend your whole life defending him ………. pull your head out man ……… it will come out with a “pop” if you give it a large pull .
The west should not be supporting Putin or Assad in any way . They both committed war crimes and need to be put on trial for them . If you feel Blair has done the same then put him on trial too .

  18. Drunken Sailor

    Wildes,

How many millions of people should die in order to put Putin and Assad on trial for war crimes?

BBMs accuse me of being Tom writing under a different alias. They accuse a load of others too if we were all Tom he would never write anything on Share Prophets. Pull your own head out of your own arse.

  19. Wildrides, not sure you can shout hypocrite, whilst I personally believe that this has overstepped the mark, in order to sound someone out, you require proof, just because you are working as a journalist does not necessarily mean that you would get your work published, if Tom was presented the story had sufficient evidence and chose not to run it to protect the individual then that would be different.

  20. Gaz & Wildes

I was a junior reporter on the City pages of the ES as such it was not really about me choosing to run this or not. I was not in a position to make that call.

My point was that EVERYONE on Fleet St knew as did all the politicos.

    t

  21. Right Tony heres a new game I want to try out on you first , you blow on my trumpet and then I will hoot when I am done, ok ? Jimmy I think most people who have dealt with me, think I’m a pretty straight sort of guy, and I am, but it could help improve my image so why not, lets do it.

  22. Tom,
I was supporting you by saying, it is incorrect to call you a hypocrite when you had no responsibility for the content published ?

    TW Noted.thx

  23. Juicin Drumroll

After a slap up lunch at Chequers, JS to TB on the Iraqi invasion –

“Now then, now then, you kill ‘em Tone & then I’ll fuck ‘em. Guys and gals, I don’t much care which.

    How’s about that, then?”

  24. Jimmy to Tony..

“I’m feeling horny but I’m stuck on this farm with you – do you know where the nearest kid is”?

    Tony

“Sure, look, there’s one just behind the cameraman”

    Saville

    “No, Tony – I don’t do goats”!

    Tony

“Oops, sorry Mr Saville you mean you’r into kids like my good friend Greville Janner. Don’t worry, it’ll be our little secret”.

  25. Everyone knew in the sixties. Tom is 30 years behind the times. All the male extras on pop shows were nonces then and off colour remarks and groping were how the average bloke behaved. Girls had to have stillettos and pointy elbows and knees for self defence and went around in posses. Blokes even tried it on at job interviews. A lot of what passed for normal behaviour then would get you nicked today, and so would a lot of our self defence.
