I’m totally gobsmacked! Is our Entrepreneurial genius inhabiting the same planet as the rest of us?
I understand even Mr Terry’s friends describe him as a ‘bit of a spiv’, probably most readers here regard Mr Terry and his achievements in somewhat harsher terms.
However, as the wonderfully funny ‘bunker’ series, (produced by ShareProphets) so excellently portrayed in The Downfall of Mr Terry and his bastard child Quindell, the term Megalomaniac is perhaps more appropriate……
Collective · Egomania · Megalomania · Narcissistic personality disorder ·
Characteristics – Betrayal · Boasting · Egocentrism · Egotism · Empathy (lack of) · Envy · Fantasy · Grandiosity · Hubris · Magical thinking · Metrosexual · Manipulative · Narcissistic abuse · Narcissistic elation · Narcissistic rage and narcissistic injury · Narcissistic mortification · Narcissistic supply · Narcissistic withdrawal · Perfectionism ·Self-esteem · Self-righteousness · Shamelessness · Superficial charm · Superiority complex · True self and false self · Vanity. And of course the classic defence of your average Megalomaniac – Total denial of any wrong doing!…“What me?,”…… “Wasn’t any of my fault!”

I think that what you have just described is a sociopath. You can put David Lenigas, Rob Terry, Tony Blair and most politicians, financiers and corporate corrupted big wigs into the same boat. What separates them from megalomaniacs is that they are all essentially incompetent failures who are very manipulative and good at disguising there shortcomings and shifting the blame onto others.
