Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
I detailed earlier how some moron had registered on ADVFN as tomwinnifrith and then posted a lot of piffle making it clear that it was meant to be me. Among the more ridiculous assertions was the statement that: " I will remain selfishly against CTAG, even when it bounces back to previous highs. But not as active as before. We need it to get back to £40m-£60m market cap, at which point we will do it all again." were the biggest Cloudtag bear (target price 0p) be saying he "needed" the shares to get back to a 9-13.5p level and that he expected that because "at that point" would be dramatic. But of course...
I am not saying that. But if I Cloudtag's best known critic had performed such a volte face then if the shares resume trading Monday that will push them up. And that is why this post constitutes market abuse. Bulletin board posters who post knowingly misleading information ( not a duff opinion but false statements, fake facts) to influence a share price had been sent to jail in the US and it is illegal here. As such I have reported this fellow to the FCA and asked it to look into clear market abuse.
The letter reads:
Market abuse on the ADVFN Bulletin Board - Cloudtag
As you may be aware I have been the biggest critic of AIM listed Cloudtag. I have repeatedly called it a fraud and it is a fraud. I have often stated that the shares are worth 0p and they are. I have flagged up lie after lie told by this company.
On 26 February 2016 an individual registered with ADVFN as tomwinnifrith and posted on its Bulletin Board a number of posts purporting to beby me which were clearly designed to get folks to buy the shares and were utterly misleading. This is clear market abuse.
I attach a screenshot of one such post. I ask that you obtain the name of the poster from ADVFN and so clear cut is the case seek to launch an immediate prosecution if only to send a clear message to other investors who might consider this form of market abuse.
I remain as ever
Your obedient servant
