World Cup – England to follow Spain home?

By The Saturday Prophet | Thursday 19 June 2014

Yesterday was so frustrating. I made a brilliant call (Spain to go out), but made the wrong bet. In hindsight (always such a blessing!), I should have made a handicap bet. At +1 Chile I would have had the draw covered AND Chile to win. The odds were roughly 2.7 before the match. Let’s face it only Chileans would have backed Chile for the win and on at least 4 out of 5 occasions they’d have lost that bet. However, fair play to the plucky South Americans. Last night was a brilliant match to watch and the Chileans more than deserve their place in the second round. Their final game with Holland is interestingly poised. Both sides need to win really to avoid Brazil in the next round. If only England was faced with such a dilemma, but sadly for Hodgson and the boys I think they too will meet the Spanish at Aeroporto Internacional do Rio de Janeiro on their way home, next Friday.
