Julie Meyer tweet - is she losing the plot? Empty Bean bags?
I can understand following today's bombshell and yesterday's bombshell expose and the loss of her MFSA license on Friday and the criminal charges in Malta and all those other legal actions, that devout Christian Julie Meyer may be a little bit stressed right now. Perhaps this explains this bizarre tweet about Brexit of yesterday? Empty bean bags? In an economy with record employment and the lowest unemployment since 1975? Whatever. The response from one of her critics is, however, most entertaining.

Ten Lifestyle Group – interims emphasise “increase in member satisfaction levels”, what about shareholders'?
Having IPO’d on AIM at 134p per share in November, ‘lifestyle’ and travel concierge services group Ten Lifestyle (TENG) has announced results for the six months ended 28th February 2018. These include CEO Alex Cheatle “delighted with the increase in member satisfaction levels” and “as convinced as ever about the significant market opportunity and Ten's growth potential within that market as well as our ability to generate value for our shareholders”. The shares are currently at, er, 97.5p…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Chris Bailey is right, Malcolm Stacey is wrong
So far it has been a good day. I look at four shares I own: Optibiotix (OPTI), Falanx (FLX), Premaitha (NIPT) - yes Wildes you are wrong! - and Sosandar (SOS). And I comment on today's Julie Meyer bombshell. Praise be the Lord. I look at Beowulf Mining (BEM) and wider lessons after its placing and then discuss housebuilders in general after Chris Bailey's excellent article HERE. Chris is right, my old friend Malcolm - a sector bull - is wrong and I explain why.

Quelle surprise: housebuilder Crest Nicholson warns about margins!
I do not think I have formally written about the housebuilders before but I know they are beloved by many investors out there citing yield, cash back to investors, an inherent shortage of housing and other attributes probably including their ability to walk on water. Any hopes of God-given capabilities have come crashing down to earth today though with an update from Crest Nicholson (CRST), shares in which have fallen another 13% to a new 12 month low. So what did it say? Here's the key excerpt from today's update:

Accrol – after 2016 IPO at 100p & 2017 bailout placing at 50p, what now?
In June 2016 tissue products manufacturer Accrol (ACRL) listed on AIM, raising £63.5 million at 100p per share. Just seventeen months later it was bailout fundraising at half of the IPO price but still recently “revised banking arrangements” have been necessary and now at 3:08pm on 15th May 2018…

Winnileaks strikes again - the cash problems of Julie Meyer's Entrepreneur Country & the charge against a rented flat
Some days ago the Winnileaks service demonstrated how the cash crisis at Julie Meyer's Entrepreneur Country had forced it to attempt to sell on an R&D tax credit claim - effectively borrowing at an 163% annualised rate - just to pay its bills, HERE. It gets more interesting with a new bombshell disclosure which, I gather, was passed to the HMRC, FCA, ActionFraud and the Metropolitan Police two weeks ago with a request to investigate.

Premaitha - placing, trading update, all good good good
Let's declare an interest first. FIML, a company owned via a Trust by dependents of Tom Winnifrith, took part in the placing at 4.5p but was scaled back so topped up with market purchases at 6.9p.

LPA Group - a buy
In January LPA Group (LPA) announced record results and in March updated that this year also “should present us with an excellent result”. However, despite already being on a modest rating, the shares are down from 178.5p in February to a current 155p offer price and so…

Why that Bubbling Oil Price Makes Both Big and Small Producers Even more Attractive
Hello Share Scrollers. I think I recall saying way back in 2017 that the oil price could soar to reach $80 a barrel in the Spring. And we’re only a dollar away from that forecast now. Of course, I did not know that troubles in the Middle East would get so horribly worse.

Tern – detailed look at FY17 accounts reveals a monster cash crisis: it is no better now
I said the other day that following the £1.75 million placing at 18.5p (a 30% discount) last week it looked as though Tern plc (TERN) had enough cash to see it through for the time being. But I’ve been looking through the FY17 Annual Report and now I’m not so sure. In fact I am sure it does not have enough cash. Its portfolio of investee companies looks a shambles and it seems that Tern has been paying some of its investees’ bills. Quite how auditor Grant Thornton thought the company fit to pass as a Going Concern is a mystery to me.

Zytronic – ‘pleased to report a doubling of the dividend’, so why a share price decline?
Touch sensors manufacturer Zytronic (ZYT) “is pleased to report a doubling of the interim dividend to 7.6p (H1 2017: 3.8p) in line with our progressive dividend policy, and the continued development of our business into new markets”. Sounds promising – and the shares have currently responded… more than 8% lower, towards 400p. Ah…

FinnCap - Premaitha at 7p worth 12p
It is the house broker so not impartial. I think the target for Premaitha (NIPT) is too low and bought more shares this morning in the secondary market. But here is the Finncap take in a 20 page note:

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Bankers are not nice folks, I know, I was one - ref Telit & The People's Operator
First of all thanks to so many of you for your kind responses to yesterday's bearcast - I am now in a serious dialogue with the Police and I hope they will catch and prosecute the culprit. In today's podcast I look at the Sunday Times Rich List which is largely fiction, at Audioboom (BOOM), MySquar (MYSQ), Premaitha (NIPT - where we own shares and indeed have bought more - The People's Operator (TPOP) and Telit (TCM)

Audioboom - Karma for Rob Proctor with his fecking cornflakes: RTO pulled, almost bankrupt
I cannot hide my pleasure at today's catastrophic news from Audioboom (BOOM). Media companies should believe in free speech - Rob Proctor's outfit buckled at once forcing me to move bearcast elsewhere. And now Proctor's company faces possible bankruptcy in four weeks time. Ha fucking ha. This is a shambles.

Webis Holdings – turned out to be an excellent punt with up to 200% return
Just over a year ago I thought it might be worth taking a punt on Webis Holdings (WEB) as a special situation play. Well, sometimes, it is better to be lucky to be right as although my reasoning wasn’t exactly spot on, one could have cashed in this morning for about a 200% gain.
