4 Reasons why we have increased our target price for LGO Energy

Shares in LGO Energy (LGO) have started to tick higher and closed last night at 2.5p mid - well up on our 1.8p offer price share tip of just over three weeks ago. Four things are happening and we are increasing our target price to sell from 2.7p to 3p and even that may have to be increased again. So whaat are the 4 reasons?

Yes you should join Primary Bid NOW but do not take up its Toople offer whatever you do

Primary Bid's latest offer is its first non AIM placement. It boasts this as an achievement. But the company is Toople (TOOP) a proud member of Cynical Bear's Sub Standard XI. It is a dog and while I urge you all to join Primary Bid now HERE, I also urge you not to take up this offer.

Table of shorted AIM shares - week to 02/06/2017

From the FCA's spreadsheet of short positions required to be disclosed to it, the following shows the shorted AIM shares with positions from 2016 and thus far in 2017 (by net short position %) - and if this position has increased (red), reduced (green) or remained unchanged (black) since last week...

Toople – Roll up, roll up, anyone fancy investing…..before it topples that is?

After hours on Friday, Toople (TOOP) announced an offer of a lifetime, namely to subscribe in a placing to raise up to £1.9 million at 2p having spent the £2 million it raised a year ago (at 8p). This shouldn’t come a big surprise as the business announced in March that funding would be needed; however, I still think it is worth reiterating a couple of points.

Saturday Caption Contest - the Naked Share Blogger of the Year Edition

Don't worry it is not Paul Scott in the altogether, it is the official ADVFN share blogger of the year, Mr Daniel Levi, aka Brokerman Dan with his bling. All we ask is that you supply a suitable caption for the photo below with a deadline of midnight tonight. Post away in the comments section below. For what it is worth my entry is:

It's a Scary Week Coming - But I'm Holding My Nerve

Hello Share Mashers. It’s going to be a scary end to the week. What if Labour gets in? The Big City won’t like that and shares will dive heavily. But that will be a short-lived shocker, in my view. Because Jezzer in power will cause the pound to fall even lower. And that more than anything is keeping the Footsie at record highs.

ShareProphets China AIM 'Filthy Forty' update – EGM approval for MoneySwap to next de-list edition

Since our previous update, another ShareProphets China AIM 'Filthy Forty' company in MoneySwap (SWAP) has seen EGM approval for AIM cancellation - to follow the likes of Geong International and co in 'Geong, Geong' and then Gone...

VIP

Vipera – “pleased to announce” new agreement, but what’s happened to funded “through to cash flow profitability”?

Vipera (VIP) “is pleased to announce a multi-year agreement with Bankart d.o.o., a leading payment processor” and CEO Marco Casartelli is “delighted to have agreed such a significant and multi-year agreement with Bankart and we very much look forward to delivering more innovative solutions together in the future”. Sounds good, but what's the detail?...

Magnolia Petroleum - sack the board!

It really does not make any difference who is steering the Titanic once its hit the iceberg. Its going down. Actually that is a poor image for Magnolia Petroleum (MAGP) - think of a rubber dinghy holed in multiple places and weighed down with a crew who are both heavy - thanks to their grotesque pay over many years - and inept. I am not sure what good it would do firing Rita Whittingham and colleagues as this company will never generate a cent in free cashflow and its balance sheet is a wreck. However...

Photo-Me – updates on trading after UK photo ID regulation scare

I previously commented on Photo-Me (PHTM) in January as the shares slid from above 170p to below 155p on UK photo ID regulation media comment. The company has now made a “Trading Update” announcement for its year ended 30th April…

Winner of the General Election caption contest: Which one is the weakest link? - is it the BBC audience selection impartiality officer?

Apparently the demographics that make up ShareProphets dovetails nicely with those that like game shows, as we had an bounty of entries. But only one can be the strongest link.

ECR

ECR Minerals - all the China Money now in! Like pulling Dragon's Teeth

After numerous delays ECR Minerals (ECR) has announced that all the cash promised by Shenyang Xinliaoan Machinery Co Ltd in the 27 February £553,564 placing is in. As a result of the delays the Chinese had already coughed up about half of that amount in non refundable deposits. But now all the cash is in and new shares will be issued in due course. Phew! What a relief. This has been like pulling dragon's teeth. The shares have responded by moving ahead sharply - another winning share tip from the team!

Why I am voting Labour on June 8

To say that ShareProphets readers are right wing is to say that WG Grace is the greatest sportsman of all time. Yet, in a blatent scheme to rig the election in favour of the Tories, Tom has arranged for various patsies to argue in favour of the lesser parties. Yesterday Jonathan Price batted for team Lib Dem.  Although Tom expects today's offering to be a token paen to Labour. I say, prepare to be shocked: you're going to be voting Labour.

VELA

Vela - sells a few shares in BTL but look at value of remaining stock!

Vela (VELA) has announced that following cracking results from investee company TSX listed BTL it has sold 50,000 shares netting net proceeds of C$263,106.15 (equivalent to £152,530.79). That and the cash remaining from the recent bond issue will support (low) PLC cost and allow Vela to make further investments.

Spirax Sarco Steams Ahead - And I Jumped Too Early

Hello Share Topplers. There are a lot of companies with shares that I’ve sold too early. It’s never wrong to take a profit, they say. But of course it is - if that company rises like a rocket after you sold.

Hayward Tyler – possible offer & debt ‘cans’ again kicked slightly further down the road

Previously writing on Hayward Tyler (HAYT) I noted a bank facilities extension to the end of May, following an extension of the deadline for a possible offer for the company by Avingtrans plc to also late May. And now…

Advanced Oncotherapy- where's the statement you goddamn shysters?

Wakey wakey Michael Sinclair and the other tossers who run Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO). Time to get out of the luxury gym ( membership fees paid by grateful shareholders) - you need to be issuing a statement don't you? Bracknor? 10 days? Capital Reorganisation? Ring any bells? Come on, call your useless PR man Paul Queenie McManus and tell him to stop promoting the Eden fraud and get a release ready for you.

DCD Media – 2016 results argue “measures… will ensure that the business can deliver value”. Will they?

An 11:26am results announcement from tv distribution and production group DCD Media (DCD). Hmmm, why not a standard 7am release? Let’s take a look…

Green Dragon - mega dilution or insolvency ahoy

Green Dragon Gas (GDG) still has not answered the questions posed by the bloody dossier almost four years ago HERE. That made it uninvestable in my book. Its chairman Randeep Gewal was in London yesterday pressing the flesh at Proactive Investors - always a sign that a hat is being dusted off. I am sure he schmoozed the dumb mug punters present but here are a few things he probably did not mention but which you can find in the 2016 annual report HERE.

Fusionex now 42.5p but that is 42.5p too high: fitness guru Paul Scott weighs in

If ever there was a demonstration of how price is not the same as value when it comes to shares it was Fusionex (FXI). Time and time again we pointed out the red flags yet the company maintained a market cap of up to £100 million. that was £100 million too high. Now, after five years in which £55 million has been transferred from UK Investors to Malaysia the company announced after hours on the Friday before the bank holiday weekend that it would delist. Its shares have crashed to 42.52p (the last fund raise was at 325p) but that is still way too high. And Britain's top share blogger, the fitness guru Paul Scott has weighed in and agrees with me.
