Sub-Standard Listed Cloudbreak Discovery – No Insider Trading As Shares Double; Move Along Please, Nothing To See Here
On Tuesday shares in sub-Standard-Listed Cloudbreak Discovery (CDL) were languishing at around 1.8p – a whopping 30% loss on the IPO price last June. But then they started to rise and rise…….and rise some more, closing yesterday at 3.85p in the middle. They had more than doubled in the spae of just four days. So what was the earth-shattering news? A massive gold discovery? A takeover? Er, no……

PetroTal Corp- Interesting activist Institutional Investor engagement
It’s been a while since I commented on PetroTal Corp (PTAL) – a Peruvian based oiler. My views on this investment case turned negative back in late 2019, and I came in for some slagging on social media for even suggesting it was not the best investment since sliced bread. My last substantive comment was in June 2020, after the company placed to manage the working capital position, as I suggested was required. A cornerstone Institutional Investor is now engaging with PI’s and other II’s to see the best outcome for shareholders. I find this very interesting on several levels.

As Blighty's Growth Gallops, so May our Shares. But Not All of 'Em. So Pick the Right Sectors.
Hello Share Treaters. All those doomsters who predict a crash in share prices need to consider this week’s big news. The UK economy grew by 7.5% in 2021. That’s the best performance of all the G7 nations. The Footsie fell on the announcement, but that’s just how illogical the stock market is. I expect it to bounce back next week. Covid is still with us and yet we beat growth records. When the pandemic has ceased to be a threat I would expect GDP to surge even more. But not all shares will shine.

Osirium Technologies – hopefully warnings here heeded as shares crash on bailout funding
Osirium Technologies (OSI), describing itself as “a leading vendor of cloud-based cybersecurity software, is pleased to announce that it has conditionally raised £1 million before expenses”… Sounds ok for it, especially as I previously concluded in November that, with forecast losses and the balance sheet position, avoid / sell. What’s the detail though?…

A one year tweet which has aged so very badly - meet Chill Brands shareholder Stocks Gazer, he is a moron
A year ago shares in Chill Brands (CHLL) the fraud then known as Zoetic (ZOE) were 76p as I published a 60 red flags dossier. Here is how one moron responded – natch by abusing me. The shares are now 9p. I guess this tweet has not aged terribly well. Meet Stocks Gazer. He is a moron.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Beware the blizzard of confetti on its way to you from Anglesey
I mention briefly events at Omega Diagnostics (ODX) but that is covered largely in a seperate bearcast HERE. Then it is onto the new big covid test short Avacta (AVCT) and why our own esteemed PL is talking cock. I cover Anglesey Mining (AYM) and what its news today really means. Then a long look at Osirum (OSI). Obviously it is a worthless POS but what does its deeply discounted placing today mean for YOUR portfolio?

A man who blocked Tom Winnifrith because he knew more about Omega Diagnostics and shares can't fess his gargantuan losses to his wife
The chap below blocked me on Twitter as I did not know what I was talking about when it came to Omega Diagnostics (ODX). He did, of course, and now he has lost so much money he cannot bring himself to ‘fess up to his Mrs that he has trashed the family finances. I do actually feel sorry for him though no doubt he has said a lot of beastly things about me. It will be of no consolation to him when folks, the sort of Omega owning folks who egged on his enthusiasm, say things will get better or he can learn from this. Things may improve for Omega and I hope he learns but right now he must feel pretty rotten. The biggest lesson, of course, is never to put all your eggs in one basket. Perhaps a second one is that, on bear calls, whatever you read on Bulletin Boards,I am almost always right.

OptiBiotix Health – “Commercial and strategy update”. What does it mean tangibly? It means BUY
OptiBiotix Health (OPTI) has made what it describes as a “Commercial and strategy update”, including arguing “look forward with confidence to further commercial progress of the group in the current year and beyond”. What does that though mean tangibly?

BATS continues its 'pivotal year' progress for its shareholders (even if you are a non-smoker)
For a non-smoker I undoubtedly do comment about the world’s leading tobacco names far too much. As an investor though there have been opportunities in the names over recent years, initially in terms of dividends but more recently via total return levels. It is certainly no disgrace to see Imperial Tobacco (IMB) shares up c. 10% year-to-date, whilst shares in British American Tobacco (BATS) are up nicely over 15%. Smoking! So where do us investors go from here on the names?

A free to access podcast from Tom Winnifrith for shareholders in Omega Diagnostics
I guess you are all feeling a bit shafted right now and are wondering who to blame and what to do next after today’s debacle. Contrary to what you might read on certain Bulletin Boards I do not celebrate the pain of most Omega Diagnostics (ODX) shareholders, just those who abused and insulted my 100% accurate warnings of the bailout placing and other matters. For those chumps, it is schadenfreude all round. So what should you, as an Omega shareholder, do now? I answer that question and them discuss the legality of my reporting and indeed the morality of the reporting plus I explain exactly who shareholders should be angry with on a number of matters and why. Enjoy. My regular daily podcast, behind the paywall, will go live later today. If you are not yet a ShareProphets subscriber and do not want to get caught out again as you have been today, you can rectify that HERE

Postcard from the Montana Log-Cabin: Inflation, Inflation!!
The all-important inflation data for January in the US has come out. Anyone still taken in by the Fed’s “transitory” description of the thief in the night will be sorely disappointed and the pie-in-the-sky wishful thinking that saw people thinking that inflation might moderate in the face merely of threats of rate rises have had a bit of a shock.

Omega Diagnostics confirms all my scoops – placing, HQ sale, open offer – shares slump again- now onto the next BIG SHORT in the sector
I shall be recording a special podcast outside of the paywall later for shareholders in Omega Diagnostics (ODX) for they have been well and truly mugged, but not by me, and must be spitting nails this morning as it finally fesses that everything I have exposed on this website was true.

With Exploratory Testing Humming Along, you Might Want to Look at this Golden Miner
Hello Share Bundlers. This old punter rarely looks at small miners, given a history of losing money in the game. But with my fellow writers praising the prospect of a rising gold price, there is one company which rather takes my eye.

Coral Products – acquisition earn-out on its results better than expected, Buy
In our October tip of the month, we noted on Coral Products (CRU) its acquisition of Customised Packaging Limited, a plastic products producer using sheet extrusion technology and vacuum forming capabilities. Fusion Antibodies – ‘not aware of reason for share price fall’. Er...
Fusion Antibodies (FAB), “specialists in pre-clinical antibody discovery, engineering and supply for both therapeutic drug and diagnostic applications, notes the recent movement in the company’s share price”. By “recent movement” it means fall from 96p at the start of this month to a last close 82.5p. So what’s the reason?…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Omega confirms my scoop (again) but now I reveal what it is NOT telling you
Firstly I discuss how Omega Diagnostics (ODX) mislead folks on 19 January about the lack of a placing. The slippery words of PR shithead Paul “Queenie” McManus of Walbrook saw folks pay 15p per share. Today Omega confirmed my latest scoop, yes it has raised £5 million and will do an open offer for another £2million at just 5p. But Queenie says this is dependent on another corporate action. In the podcast I reveal exactly what that action is since the PR shithead won’t. There is a brief discussion about poor Prince Charles and the total bursting of the Covid stocks bubble. Then onto the shocking corporate governance and executive greed at Nanosynth (NNN). It is dressed up as aligning executive interests with those of mug punters owning this grotesquely overvalued stock. It is nothing of the sort. The shares should fall by 90%. Former chairman Antony Legge would NEVER have allowed this. How standards have slipped.

Jubilee Metals – half-year operational and financial update, still a Buy?
Jubilee Metals (JLP) states that it “is pleased to announce its unaudited operational results for the six months to 31 December 2021” and that it looks forward to “the next six months with the full impact of the Inyoni facility being felt, as well as the targeted ramp-up at Roan enabling us to take another major step in our commitment to achieve annual copper production of 25 000 tonnes”. So what of a current 16.3p share price, £396 million market capitalisation?

In a growing emerging markets decade should you buy shares in Ashmore?

John Menzies – possible offeror hits back at ‘opportunistic’ and ‘fundamentally undervaluing’, arguing “a compelling opportunity”...
The National Aviation Services business of Agility Public Warehousing Co. has noted the “Rejection of Unsolicited Approach” announcement from John Menzies plc (MNZS) yesterday and argues its possible 510p per share offer “represents a compelling opportunity for shareholders to realise full value for their investment in cash” and that it “is a disciplined investor… we urge Menzies’ shareholders to consider carefully… our offer”. So what to make of this?…
