EXPOSE: Anglo African Oil & Gas placing - the worst form of death spiral financing in all but name, undeclared related party deal - this stinks
News this morning, as I predicted on this site on Monday HERE of an £8.25 million raising by Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) looks to be a disaster for existing shareholders once again under David Sefton's watch.

Sainsbury's still searching for a strategy
The last time I talked about the shares of Sainsbury (SBRY) I concluded that the results were 'truly all over the place'. After today's update I would say the data has actually got worse…

Redemption watch: Woodford Income Focus – time for (other people’s) champagne?
This morning’s numbers from Morningstar show that Neil Woodford Income Focus Fund (WIFF) again had a better day yesterday as the NAV per unit edged ahead by 0.23%. So is it time, finally, for a glass of (someone else’s) champagne? Er….not quite.

Independent Oil and Gas – Harvey expo drill had better work! SELL
Independent Oil and Gas (IOG) has been on a roller coaster of a journey over the last few years, with plenty of highs and lows. Some aspects have been of its own making, such as the unsuccessful appraisal drill of Skipper back in 2016 and some due to external influences like funding by what increasingly looks like a chain of fraudulent financial backers in London and Capital Finance via London Oil and Gas.

Defenx – don’t investors deserve an explanation as to why an audit has not been able to be finalised in six months?
Previously writing on cyber-security software group Defenx (DFX), in October I reviewed “First draw down under the Convertible Loan”… but much more needed? – concluding …a current 10.5p share price and Defenx has stated “the board believes that the business will become cashflow positive during 2019”. However, on December 2015 AIM listing the company emphasised itself as “fast growing, profitable and cash generative” – and it joined at a 148p per share placing price! Certainly still on the bargepole list; sell. Now it’s been “Suspension of trading on AIM”…

Big Yield, Low PE Glencore Could Benefit from a Global Commodities Boom
Hello Share Graders. It’s my birthday. But reaching the age of 34 is a worry. It’s made me die my hair grey. The day is also unusual in that I can’t find any penny shares which I dare to commend to your further examination. So let me turn to one of the biggest commodity companies in the Footsie. A firm with a market cap of £38 billion...

Creightons – we having said we expected the results to highlight the value…
Previously updating on cosmetics manufacturer and brand owner, Creightons (CRL) we stated, with the shares at 28.5p, we expect the results to highlight the value from such a valuation. The company has now announced results for its year ended 31st March 2019 and that it is “actively looking at opportunities to develop or invest in brands and businesses which will allow us to take the group forward and meet our medium term ambitions”…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast; My top 10 mid cap shorts in this crazy, crazy world
We live in a mad, mad world and I cite four examples of this: the banning of the original US flag by Nike 48 hours ahead of July 4, illiterate Zak Mir going into PR, the PI love-in on Bulletin Boards with utterly worthless Premier African Minerals (PREM) and the IPO of Funding Circle (FCH). I look at Dialight (DIA), and Fastjet (FJET) and then list my top ten shorts worth more than £250 million (with two slightly smaller cheats included) and explain the bear case for each.

Dialight – argues recovery plans “progress” & “increasingly well positioned”… Er, what about the profit warning?
An announcement from industrial applications LED lighting company Dialight (DIA); “Trading update and Directorate changes”. Those two together don’t tend to bode well – and we also cautioned here on an April update which emphasised “continued to make progress in our recovery”, but also included “results to be heavily weighted to H2, reflecting both the ongoing resolution of our operational issues and normal industry seasonality”…

Funding Circle – where did it all go wrong?
Many people who work outside the financial services do not believe it when I say that some of the greatest stories can be found in the regulatory news statements by listed companies. And by 'great', of course I mean both the simply awe-inspiring...and the absolutely shocking…

AA Group – actions of a well-run company?
AA Group (AA.) has caused Neil Woodford a spot of embarrassment before. After all, he cornerstoned its IPO at 250p but profit warnings and the slashing of the dividend have seen the stock down to 46.66p even though Neil knew best all the way down as he hoovered up more stock at 166p after the profit warning September 2017. Last Friday saw a TR-1 from AA Group…..

Big Dish – Another delay begging questions about the pre placing ramp RNS as Zak Mir takes charge of spinning
Oh dear, Oh Dear. We have another operational update today. This just looks ever more messy for Big Dish (DISH) as we once again return to the 30th May ramptastic RNS which came just seven days before a £2.1 million placing.

Telit – has its broker quit and the company neglected to mention it?
On May 22nd 2019 Telit Communications (TCM) issued an RNS with co broker Berenberg as one of the contacts. From the RNS of June 6 onwards Berenberg’s name has been missing from all releases. So is there, yet again, something that this company, founded by mortgage fraudster and fugitive from justice Uzi Katz, is not telling us?

Fierce Competition Could Curb the Ambition of Jolly Greene King
Hello, Share Counters. Some time ago now I commended jolly Greene King (GNK) to your further scrutiny, but now I’m not so sure. I probably wouldn't buy shares in the big pub/caterer today. The latest figures - full year up towards the end of April 2019 - are rather disappointing...

Video: As Woodford's Equity Income Fund gated for another 28 days (at least) Neil explains (unconvincingly) the future
So the EIF is gated for another 28 days. And then, you can bet, it will stay gated. To celebrate this fine achievement, Britain's worst fund manager has recorded a video explaining, inter alia, why he will be selling his favourite stocks and that will lead to EIF outperforming going forward. Whatever.... Neil Woodford talks bollocks (again) is below.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: the origin of the word bugger, Versarien & AAOG £9m fund raise ahoy!
In today's bearcast I discuss how and why the word bugger come from Bulgaria, at least according to my hero Paddy Leigh Fermor. I look at Versarien (VRS) and why it will end in tears, report that Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) is trying to raise £9 million at 5p and or via a death spiral, look at Hurricane (HUR), Prospex (PXOG), Grand Vision Media Holdings (GVMH) - as per my prescient piece HERE - Condor (CNR) and uber dog Premier African Minerals (PREM)

Telit: limp slap on the wrist from the Oxymorons at AIM Regulation over mortgage fraudster Oozi Cats/Uzi Katz
You may remember our August 2017 shock expose HERE about how the founder and CEO of AIM listed Telit Communications (TCM) was not Oozi Cats but in fact Uzi Katz, a man who had fled the USA to avoid charges of mortgage fraud. Almost two years later the Oxymorons at AIM Regulation have acted. In a totally limp dick manner.
