GLI Finance tries to hide admission of unacceptable management reward for failure at no-one is watching O’Clock
I guess that GLI Finance (GLIF) thought that sneaking out an AGM statement with a ghastly admission of management reward for failure at 4.52 PM on a Friday evening might go un-noticed. It reckoned without the stockmarket anoraks who run this website. Its attempt to bury bad news thus deserves, and will now get, a wider audience.

Dignity continues to struggle as the death rate slows
The last time I wrote about the UK's largest funeral provider Dignity (DTY) back in March, I observed 'we cannot buck death...but you can continue to avoid Dignity's stock' due to all the challenges facing both the company and the sector. Today's first quarter update makes for continued grisly reading and - as I write - the share is down a further 6%...

Norwegian Investigative journalism alive and kicking as E24 goes after F40 Origo’s former boss Chris Rynning
I have covered the scandal of ShareProphets AIM-China Filthy Forty play Origo Partners (OPP) in some detail – see HERE. To cut a (very) long story short, it raised a pile of cash and seems to have lost almost the whole lot – apart from the generous remuneration and related party dealings – and the management paid itself a stack of bonuses just as the icing on the cake. New boss John Chapman has been forthright with what he found out on getting his feet under the table and now Norwegian outfit E24 has been looking into the original brains behind Origo, Mr Chris Rynning.

Open Letter to Paul Shackleton: Given the latest massive John Zorbas Alerion lie will you resign as MRS Nomad now?
China fraud specialist Paul Shackleton is trying to restore his soiled reputation and personal finances as head of the Nomad team at Arden. But this is proving hard given the activities of Arden client Management Resource Solutions (MRS). Over the weekend, thanks to Winnileaks, we exposed the biggest lie yet told by Management boss John Zorbas over the dodgy as hell related party nest of snakes £1.32 million acquisition of Alerion. In friendship, I have written to Mr Shackleton asking if Arden will quit as Nomad now and explaining exactly why they must. I have cc’d in AIM Regulation.

Step-Carefully-Stephen Helps Another Member of the Royal Family
Hello, Share Smashers. Regret lasts a long time in Shareland and I still kick myself for sitting tight when RSA (RSA) was about to be taken over by Zurich four years ago. I should have sold before the deal (and the share price) crashed to the deck. Never mind, the share price has since been gradually recovering and I am still well into profit on paper...

Now there are now 12 rogue bloggers – a total non walker signs up - will you please sponsor us for Woodlarks?
Woodlarks is an amazing but incredibly unfashionable charity. If you give £10,000 to an organisation like Guide Dogs for the Blind or the RSPCA it makes no difference. Give £100 to Woodlarks and it will help change a life. And that is why, in less than three weeks I shall be walking the 33 miles from Horse Hill to the Woodlarks camp site.

Winnileaks Expose: Is John Zorbas of Management Resource Solutions lying again?
At the investor presentation on 2 May at the offices of uber expensive PR posh-wits FTI Consulting, which was attended by over 20 sceptical and angry investors, Management Resource Solutions (MRS) boss John Zorbas again showed he was, quite possibly, a liar.

Sunday is not a day of rest for management at Vodafone, BT Group and FirstGroup
I quite like working on a Sunday as it gives me a chance to feel fully prepped when markets start moving about come Monday morning. However I am sure there was some spluttering over the cornflakes and coffee for anyone associated with Vodafone (VOD), BT Group (BT/A) and FirstGroup (FGP) given the various mentions all three corporate names garnered in the deadwood press. Looking at it dispassionately though from the perspective of shareholders, I think we can characterise the news out there as the equivalent of the good, the bad and the ugly.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Confessions of a non estate agent & is the Corbyn threat discounted?
Recorded in the sauna that is my car, this bearcast comes in two parts. First are we as investors hyet discounting the political risk that comes not from Brexit but from Corbyn and a coalition of chaos with the SNP for I do think that is the probable next Government. Secondly, confessions of a non estate agent, yes Purplebricks (PURP) again. Now how about the 75% of bearcast listeners yet to donate to rogue bloggers for Woodlarks chip in and take us over the half way mark today? You can do so HERE

Atom Bank gives Neil Woodford another headache
Disruptive tech banking play Atom Bank has dealt Neil Woodford another headache to add to his migraine-inducing in-tray. ShareProphets reported HERE that major Spanish investor BBVA, which had taken a large stake in Atom Bank, had missed the deadline to take up its option to buy the bank out and now, according to Sky News, Atom plans to raise more cash – cash Neil Woodford hasn’t got.

I'm not surprised to see the EVR Holdings share price drop and would continue to avoid it
Last week I wrote a piece here about how I expected the market to react badly when EVR Holdings (EVRH) released its final results for 2018, so I wasn’t surprised to see a drop of around 25% in the share price when that news subsequently came.

Reader poll result and this week’s big disaster for Neil Woodford is…..
Well it could have been AIM-listed Purplebricks (PURP) which announced an awful trading update this week and whose shares collapsed (again) to a new low point of 108p. After all, Neil Woodford has been buying the stock all the way down from £5! Or it could be Atom Bank which, having seen BBVA walk from its option to buy the company outright, is now trying to raise £50 million (more on that to follow). But no: the headline for me is that Woodford’s Equity Income Fund has shrunk again, now to a fraction above £4 billion.

Purplebricks Headed for 50p
That Purplebricks (PURP) remains above 100p after Tuesday’s announcement is surprising. With the closure of its Australian division and retrenchment in the US, the global growth story is dead, leaving the UK market as its primary focus where the going, by the company’s own admission, is tough.

The Curse of Daniel Stewart strikes again – management fallout at Atlantic Carbon
Thanks largely to the work on this website, the ludicrous proposal to reverse drowning in debt POS Atlantic Carbon into worthless Daniel Stewart Securities ahead of a Standard List came a cropper in early April as noted HERE. But the curse of doing business with Daniel Stewart and its toxic boss Peter Shea is now becoming clear for all to see.
