Solo Oil (SOLO) is one of a few AIM listed oil companies where there is activity on most fronts. The hot front to the south sees Solo progress gas exploration in Tanzania. The cold front in England sees Solo progress its oil exploration at Horse Hill. All eyes are on these two beasts after resource upgrades and the share price has rocketed to 0.6p making Solo worth £30 million. But there are great reasons to think this will at least halve by 2016.

Rare Earth Minerals is no longer a stonking sell

I penned a piece on bulletin board favourite Rare Earth Minerals (REM) in July of this year at a share price of 1.65p and I called it to 0.5p because I reckoned the market had been overhyped on the lithium valuation. Ok, we didn't get the 70% tanking I was expecting but we did get a stonking 48% decline because the share price is now only 0.88p, proving my call was right.

Hang onto Fastnet Oil and Gas

Today I take a look at one of the tips that has not gone so well to say the least. With the crude oil price cratering, so too has the share price of Fastnet (FAST), but it did not shed the majority on the back of the oil fall. Instead it decided to tank on the back of a comment by Chairman Cathal Friel to the press where he said that a return of cash and move into the medical sector could happen because of the oil price. The share price slumped 40% on that announcement which is an over-reaction and here is why.

12 Reasons to Buy Fastnet Oil and Gas

My pair trade of Urals Energy (UEN) and Fastnet Oil & Gas (FAST) has started very well when you look at tanking markets. When my sell call on Urals was posted the share price was about 9.5p. It is now about 6.25p so that is a stonking 35% in THREE trading days. I’d close that out now. But stick with Fastnet which is at 7p when I tipped it the shares were 5.75p. That's a stonking 22% in THREE trading days but I am calling this one higher. Much higher.
