New Bulletin Board Moron contest in honour of the savants who own Eurasia Mining

Published 47 minutes ago

Last night I was flamed on twitter by a host of Eurasia Mining (EUA) investors, a group who made your average Versarien (VRS) investor look like a true multi brained genius. I kid you not. One wanted me to hire him as a journalist as he had posted a few comments on BBs abour Eurasia and that, he thought, qualified him. Another said I couldn;t be a proper journalist if I did not interview Eurasia, preferably by flying to the Indaba coke and hooker fest. And so it went on. The fact that Eurasia lies to investors ahead of fund raises & abuses market rules in private chatrooms was dismissed as irrelevant. Anyhow this is a hint as to where to seek out a winning entry in this week's contest. What is the most moronic post you can find on the ADVFN, iii or LSE Asylums or on twitter? Entries should be posted in the comments section below with a deadline of midnight on Sunday 26th.

FREE Podcast: ShareProphets Radio Edition 22 with Tom Winnifrith on the subject of lying from the Daily Mail to five cited CEOs

Published 47 minutes ago

There are no guests in this week's show which is sponsored by Open Orphan PLC (ORPH). It is just me once again sitting in the Welsh Hovel. As I note in the podcast the reason why I think Open Orphan is such a good company with undervalued shares is explained HERE. In part one I look at corporate lying citing a number of different examples and why some lies matter more than others, some are red flags but not killers others are investment case killers.  Then I offer up a number of macro reasons to be very cautious on all asset classes this year. Do not believe the idea that Bojo will usher in the roaring twenties. He got my vote but that is tosh..If you like this podcast and can't wait seven days for more of the same and are tired of being a cheapskate you should listen to my Bearcast every day.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Both ADVFN & Versarien forced to fess up thanks directly to my actions

Published 4 hours ago

Both Versarien (VRS) and ADVFN (AFN) have been forced to issue major 'fess ups today directly as a result of my actions. I explain how both cases show just why AIM is not working at all, naming names why the Nomad system is failing you all and what happens next. And yes it is a day of fecking triumph for me and this website.

Yet again Versarien forced by the Sheriff of AIM to ‘fess up to misleading investors & the love that dare not speak its name

Published 5 hours ago

In May of last year uber ramp Versarien (VRS) proudly announced a major US move. Unfortunately what it said was grossly deceptive and after I wrote to AIM Regulation last week it has today been forced to ‘fess up to this. Neill Ricketts is increasingly like the naughty boy sat outside the headmaster’s study almost every lunchtime hoping it is just another beating not a letter to his parents saying he must leave the school in disgrace.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Any bloody fool (bar Neill Ricketts) can grow sales if he, she, they or it spunk enough on marketing

Published 1 day ago

In today's bearcast I look at Versarien (VRS), Sosandar (SOS), Toople (TOOP), Audioboom (BOOM), ADVFN (AFN), Fevertree (FEVR), Zenith Energy (ZEN) and Eden Research (EDEN).

The Bulletin Board Moron of the week winner is surely ADVFN's paedo guy?

You supplied numerous good entries in last week's contest as you can see HERE. I particularly liked the Cloudtag (CTAG) morons, the triumph of hope over experience, spotted by Warren Boofit

EXCLUSIVE: Versarien – even management or the auditors no longer believe a substantial growth in Graphene sales is credible in the near future

Published 1 day ago

The annual report does not lie. It is just a shame that the Bulletin board savants do not read them carefully. Like all companies, Versarien (VRS) is required to carry out an annual impairment test to justify the carrying value of goodwill recorded on the balance sheet which is £4,431,000 and comprised the following:

New Bulletin Board Moron contest of the week in honour of the ADVFN paedo guy

Published 2 days ago

It seems as if ADVFN is happy for its own house paedo guy to carry on doing his bit in support of Versarien (VRS) by libelling me in so many ways and encouraging folks to attack my wife. And there was I thinking that Clem Chambers had standards and would no platform such scum.... So while Clem continues to allow this creep and others to operate, what is the most moronic post you can find on the ADVFN, iii or LSE Asylums or on twitter? Entries should be posted in the comments section below with a deadline of midnight on Sunday 19th.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: TW is a fecking idiot it is all about the future, historics do not matter

Published 2 days ago

I clarify my share purchase ion Otibiotix (OPT). I discuss the revelations yesterday about the breakdown of historic income at Versarien (VRS) explaining, to BBMs who claim it does not, exactly why it does matter! Then I discuss whether Terry Smith's golden run is about to break badly for him. Do not get me wrong, I think Smith is an absolute top banana but I have a doubt or two.

EXPOSE: Versarien – are graphene sales just a nano amount of group turnover? The hard and shocking data revealed

Published 3 days ago

Uber ramp Versarien (VRS) refuses adamantly to break out how much of its business is actually involved in graphene. It is the graphene hype which explains why the shares are at 79.5p valuing the company at £122 million. The legacy non graphene activities may generate real sales but will never be material cash cows and thus are fundamentally almost worthless. So how much does Versarien actually make from graphene?

Good companies just do not behave like this – non financial red flags at Eurasia and Versarien

Published 3 days ago

Lucian Miers and I have covered Versarien (VRS) many times, looking at the maths as to why the shares, at 79.5p having fallen back a good bit, are still monstrously overvalued. It was one of Lucian’s sell tips of the year HERE and he, and I, reckon that fair value is sub 10p.  Eurasia Mining (EUA) is another AIM casino ramp which, on fundamentals, looks to be massively overvalued. I would not be a buyer of the stock even if it fell by two thirds from the current 4p.

Letter to AIM Regulation – Versarien again and another misleading RNS

Published 4 days ago

AIM Regulation has now acknowledged my complaints about the secret chatroom inhabited by Versarien (VRS) boss Neill Ricketts and his disciples where Neill told them what to post on Bulletin Boards and where the disciples discussed how to get around insider dealing rules and how to attack me. The complete radio silence from Ricketts since then suggests that investigations are very much ongoing. In that vein I have another matter to raise with the regulators, that of possible investor deception. My letter just sent is below.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: fake sheiks & Nomads in the doghouse on another day of utter shame for the scandal plagued AIM Casino

Published 8 days ago

I start with an update on ADVFN's paedo guy, then it is onto the role of Nomads on the AIM Casino, what they are meant to do and the problems they face. I look at three Nomads and their clients: Lekoil (LEK), Versarien (VRS) and Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) plus I discuss Tizania (TILS) and today's monster spoof from almost insolvent Iconic Labs (ICON).

Versarien – another letter to AIM Regulation

Published 8 days ago

Neill Ricketts continues to operate an almost Trappist new media silence suggesting that my letter to AIM Regulation and his Nomad Bobbie Hilliam of Canaccord about the private Versarien (VRS) Discord chat room is being taken very seriously indeed. However, over the weekend evidence emerged HERE of just how fragrantly Neill Ricketts breaks AIM Rules and so I have written again.

Bulletin Board Moron of the week contest: In honour of Neill Ricketts

Published 9 days ago

Just for one week, the contest is being brought back at the request of reader Juicin. The rules are slighty changed in honour of Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS). What we are looking for is the most moroniic comment on shares on the LSE, iii or ADVFN Asylums or twitter. But this week you can also add in comments on the private Discord chat room where Ricketts tells lies to investors without his Nomad, hapless Quindell loving Bobbie Hilliam at Canaccord, knowing anything about it! The deadline for entry is midnight on Sunday 12 January ( my birthday). Entries in the comments section below.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The Mail on Sunday takes dick-tation from NMC's PR guys & shall I take down ADVFN's paedo guy?

Published 9 days ago

First things first. It is 6 months and 1 day to the 3 Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks walk. I did a short train yesterday at Moel Famau of which more later. Anhow, if you enjoy bearcast please show so by donating HERE.  Thanks in advance for your support and also for the birthday wishes. As you can see in the comments section HERE there is a poster on ADVFN who seems to think he can save Versarien (VRS) by suggesting, falsely, that I am a paedophile. Normally I'd ignore such pond life but I am almost tempted to teach him a very expensive legal lesson in libel law. What do you think?  Then it is onto a story dictated by NMC Health's (NMC) PR team to yellow journalists at the Mail on Sunday. The real import of threats against Caron Block & Muddy Waters is very negative for NMC. Finally I have a bombshell for AIM Cesspit followers tomorrow. Watch this space!

BREAKING: The scale of Neill Ricketts AIM Rule Breaking is damning – that China deal again

Published 10 days ago

On 9th August 2019, following comments here and a letter to the authorities, Versarien (VRS) was forced to put out a statement relating to a twitter post a day earlier by its boss Neill Ricketts. But it gets far worse as I can reveal today.

ShareProphets Reader Poll: which poltroon has threatened Tom Winnifrith with legal action?

Do your best!

Tom Winnifrith Beacast: The cancer of private chatrooms for shameless ramping by AIM Casino bosses - will AIM Regulation act?

Published 11 days ago

As I reveal that it is not only Versarien (VRS) up to no good in this respect but also Eurasia Mining (EUA), I wonder which other shameless PLC rampers are up to no good and will AIM Regulation do anything to stop an increasingly disorderly market becoming an open sewer? I look at retail shares and real estate plays on that as more evidence emerges that my very long term "avoid the lot like the plague" stance was correct. I look at changing brokers at Cenkos (CNKS) and Condor Gold (CNR) and Premier Miton (PMI) and what the AIM Casino demise of SalvaRx (SALV), where managers are talented, says about the dangers of backing a cash shell.

Breaking: Versarien not the only AIM Company ramping via private chatrooms - shocking material from Eurasia Mining

Published 11 days ago

All the signs are that AIM Regulation and hapless Nomad Canaccord is clamping down on the private Versarien (VRS)  chatroom inhabited by Neill Ricketts and his Versarien cronies after shocking revelations like this HERE. However Winnileaks now has material from a similar chatroom on the private Telegram platform where Eurasia Mining (EUA) boss Dmitry Suschov and his proxies are "at play".

UPDATED: Versarien – is the regulatory noose tightening on Neill Ricketts, Ulster & London no show

Published 11 days ago

Say what you wish about shameless ramper Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS) but he is a man who would turn up at his local Women's Institute meeting if there was an opportunity to ramp his shares. He'd never turn down an opportunity, however small, for a spot of ramping. But right now he is embroiled in a regulatory tangle with his Nomad and AIM Regulation over the secret Discord Group exposed HERE and HERE. Ricketts was set to fly on Tuesday of next week to host a lunch in God's chosen lands of Ulster...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The Trolling & harassment of myself and my family plumbs new depths

Published 12 days ago

It seems to be followers of Versarien (VRS) and Bidstack (BIDS) leading the charge but there is another matter as well. suffice to say, this has been a bloody week and as I celebeate my birthday this weekend I wonder how many more years this can go on for. In terms of companies I discuss the hot air at Big Dish (DISH) and the red flags at, soon to leave AIM, Cloudbuy (CBUY). Followers of IQE (IQE) please take note.

BREAKING: Expose Part 2: That Private Discord Versarien chat forum, Neill Ricketts orders his men what to post on BBs

Published 12 days ago

Yesterday's shocking expose of how Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS) was using a private chat room to pass unverified and price sensitive information to select investors should have forced AIM Regulation and hapless Nomad Bobbie Hilliam of Canaccord to act. So far nothing. So thanks to Winnileaks I have more screen shots, maybe this will finally see order restored...

BREAKING: Neill Ricketts & Versarien – private chatroom with shareholders & rampers exposed

Published 13 days ago

Last year I forced Versarien (VRS) to issue a clarifying RNS after Neill Ricketts made unverified and it seems untrue claims on twitter. Nomad Bobbie Hilliam at Canaccord read Ricketts the riot act and his twitter outpourings have been greatly diminished. But I can reveal that he has a new conduit on a private chat group on Discord. I doubt his Nomad or AIM Regulation are aware of it but thanks to Winnileaks they will be soon and will be horrified as I have a series of screenshots to share.

I comment on another of its failings in light of today's Neil Woodford News. I comment on Big Dish (DISH), have a theory about Angloa African Oil & Gas (AAOG), comment on Optibiotix (OPTI), Versarien (VRS) and ask how long its Nomad will tolerate Neill Ricketts and finally on Aston Martin Lagonda (AML).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: What is the difference between IQE & Versarien?

Frauds and over-promotes can take years to unravel

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Has Justin the Clown's IPO been pulled & a funny thing happened on the way to the polling station

Published 40 days ago

I start with me voting and the Mrs not being able to vote here in Wrexham earlier today. Then there are two reports I have had that the Vox markets IPO has been pulled, I wonder if Justin the Clown will mention this in his podcast or will he be too busy blowing off Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS) whose abject results I discuss. I look at IP Group (IPO), Purplebricks (PURP), Premier African Minerals (PREM) and Bidstack (BIDS) wondering if it will serve up its overdue warning after hours tonight? Finally there is a plea on behalf of my cats.

Versarien buries bad news on Election day – shocking interims and the cash is running out

At 4.30 PM today Neill Ricketts, the shameless ramper and boss of Versarien (VRS) will meet with his dwindling band of core disciples at Bangers in the City of London to spout more bullshit, the sort oif bullshit that even his limp dick Nomad Canaccord would not allow him to include in today’s atrocious interims. Surely even the disciples can now see that they have been spun an almighty yarn.

I think he is doing a cracking job at Optibiotix (OPTI) where – as a loyal and very material (for me) shareholder – I expect to see the shares more than double from 62p within the next year. However, I’d be a hypocrite if I did not hold O’Hara to the same standards as obvious scallywags like Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS) when it came to the disclosure of material information.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: ref the photo below, questions, questions & more questions for Versarien

Published 81 days ago

In today's podcast I look at the news for Neil Woodford dog Xeros (XSG) and what it says about the company, its new Nomad and Broker FinnCap (FCAP) and about the hapless auditors at Grant Thornton Leeds. Then with reference to the photo below it is questions, questions, questions for shameless share ramper Neill Ricketts and Versarien (VRS)

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: On Mike Ashley opinion is truly divided

Published 84 days ago

In today's bearcast I look at fat yob Mike Ashley's latest outburst on Goals Soccer Centres (GOAL), at Galantas (GAL), Bidstack (BIDS), Versarien (VRS) and at the tale of woe that is Cabot Energy (CAB) where the behaviour of the board in relation to potential wrong doing compares very unfavourably with that at Goals.

Will Panorama credit the folk who exposed Neil Woodford on Monday: here are our top 50 exposes since 2015

Published 91 days ago

I see that Roger Lawson of ShareSoc is today praising the FT's coverage of Neil Woodford. How sad and predictable that the establishment engages in mutual masturbation rathing than seeking the truth. The FT is the paper that publisshed a blow job interview with Woodford as recently as April 2019. Of course Roger is not mentioning our work in his little read blog posts or praising the folks who called this one out with more than 1000 articles and podcasts since 2015. But I hope that the BBC does recognise who was Woodford's nemesis on Monday. In case it has forgotten here are our 50 most read articles on the ex fund manager

If it sounds too good to be true….which brings me back to Versarien

Published 94 days ago

On the occasion of the news that Neil Woodford had been fired as manager of his soon to be wound down flagship Equity Income Fund, the great man posted a comment on his Pravda-esque blog saying that he could not accept the decision.  His arrogance did not surprise me. What shocked me, as I noted HERE, were the comments by unit holders which were universally supportive of Neil.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Premier African shares soar on spoof newspaper articles (below)

Published 99 days ago

The Vox/Align bust up is funny but the spooof newspaper articles Gary Newman alerts us to below about Premier African (PREM) are hilarious. But some folks believe them and the shares up up 71%. Bonkers. Elsewhere I look at fund outflow at Miton Group (MGR) and what that all means and at the most overvalued ramps on AIM: Versarien (VRS) and Bidstack (BIDS) where Cynical Bear thinks there is no need for it to warn that it will miss broker forecasts by a mile even though he accepts it will. Strange man.

Writing To Nomad Canaccord and AIM Regulation re Versarien

Published 101 days ago

On 3 October I write to Bobbie Hilliam who looks after shameless Versarien (VRS) at Nomad Canaccord Genuity and cc’d in AIM Regulation. I have yet to receive a reply but the matters raised are grave as you can see below: The matters and the failure to address them compel me to stay short as one day this will implode.

If you want to stop babies dying you need to back Versarien... Ricketts on twitter drivel

Published 102 days ago

At the Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT) AGM this year that scallywag Neil Woodford suggested that if I had any interest in beating the disease that would incdeed kill my dear Uncle Chris within weeks, that is to say cancer, I should be getting behind the joke company Rutherford Internationbal (RUTH) into which he had spunked vast amounts of other folks cash. This is a common meme among shameless promoters.

Versarien Spanish deal: Neill Ricketts thrilled, the Spanish don’t seem to give a toss

Published 104 days ago

There is still no sign of any clarity from Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS) on his company’s tie up with BIGT, an enterprise without a website, phone number or any web presence at all. But to keep his disciples happy, the Messiah of Graphene hype has borrowed Adam Reynold’s laptop to hammer out news of another exciting collaboration.

Neill Ricketts - why so evasive, what have you to hide?

Published 105 days ago

We were promised news of the investment by China's BIGT into Versarien (VRS)"on or around its AGM". The AGM has gone and come and still no-one can find a web presence or phone number for BIGT or its supposed backer CIGUI. So folks ask perfectly reasonable questions which boss Neill Ricketts declines to ansswer as you can see below. Why are you so evasive Neill?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Versarien, Metro Bank and Brady - 3 more dogs that should be shot

Published 119 days ago

In today's podcast I consider the political news. It's time to become a Gilet Jaune! Pick up your pitchforks!. Then I look at three dogs that should be shot: Versarien (VRS) - AGM bollocks today - Metro Bank (MTRO) - Bond issue pulled, could be a zero - and Brady (BRY) - no news so a letter to the FCA is on the way.

Versarien – D day tomorrow at the Gloucester Rugby Club

Published 120 days ago

In the days before his Nomad ticked him off for his ludicrous tweets, Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS) would have been on twitter like a maniac 24 hours ahead of the AGM telling folks of all the good news in store. Well tomorrow, in a dingy side room at Gloucester Rugby Club the faithful will gather for an AGM where Neill has promised big news from China. But has he got any?

Versarien – nearly time to deliver

Published 127 days ago

Earlier this month Haydale Graphene (HAYD) released an announcement with the headline: Haydale Awarded Funding to Develop Airbus Approved Space Technology, in which a contract awarded by the European Space Agency was proudly proclaimed. The size of both the funding and the contract were not disclosed as is usually the case with these trifling disclosures and the Haydale share price (sub 2p) scarcely moved, leaving its market cap little changed at around £5 million. It struck me, however, that had Versarien (VRS) - market cap £167 million - made an identical RNS the market cap would probably have risen, at least temporarily, by several times that of Haydale’s total worth, such is the fervour that the company still inspires amongst its loyal retail following. But the point at which Versarien must start to deliver is approaching...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - interims from Telit make no sense at all

Published 134 days ago

I start by discussing visiting my local chemist and a few more thoughts on the canabbis bubble referring the hound Highland Natural Resources (HNR) which is transitioning and now wishes to be known as the bitch ZOE. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: which is the best way to lose your cash, buying Nostra Terra shares or with ProphetFX?

Published 152 days ago

I start with a discussion of how young and inexperienced most sell side analysts are and why that bodes so badly for the horrors that will emerge in the coming bear market. I move onto Versarien (VRS) a pointless deal and accounts that contradict themselves, I look at Burford (BUR) and the sex tapes allegations as well as my own on Napo and then finally at forex service ProphetFX which is drowning in red flags as is AIM Casino rubbish Nostra Terra Oil & Gas (NTOG)

Versarien: Letter to Nomad Canaccord and AIM Regulation re share dealing by boss Neill Ricketts

Published 164 days ago

Yesterday AIM uber-ramp Versarien (VRS) was forced to issue a statement about a tweet posted by its boss Neill Ricketts the day before as a result of Thursday's bearcast and an email I'd sent to regulators that day. But the response itself is nonsensical and raises the very real question of whether Ricketts sold shares in April while sitting on inside price sensitive information. I have thus sent another email to regulators at AIM Regulation (the Oxymorons) and to Bobbie Hilliam of Quindell infamy who acts as Nomad to Versarien at Canaccord.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Lucian Miers is a spiv but is Neill Ricketts now a self-confessed insider dealer?

Published 165 days ago

Yesterday I raised issues for Versarien (VRS) HERE which forced a statement today. But that statement itself now begs the question of whether Neill Ricketts is an insider dealer. Another email to the shamed Nomad Bobbie Hilliam (of Quindell infamy) at Canaccord and to AIM Regulation is on the way. I also look at Burford (BUR), Kier (KIE) and Verseon (VERS).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - a Neill Ricketts tweet which is pure Rob Terry and must surely be actioned by Nomad Canaccord

Published 166 days ago

The tweet below from Versarien (VRS) boss Neill Ricketts is surely against AIM Rules. I am referring it to nomad Canaccord and AIM Regulation and discuss in a podcast which also covers swimming pool ways, folks who insult me to ask a favour, Burford (BUR) its rebuttal (very strong) but its red flag antics elsewhere and the limp dick behaviour of the deadwood press, notably The Times. I also look at Cabot Energy (CAB) which is surely AIM Casino toast.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Burford became uninvestable with a deranged RNS at 7 AM, Neill Ricketts is bonkers & Neil Woodford is finished

Published 167 days ago

Once again this website stands 100% vindicated in l'affaire Burford (BUR) where our coverage for months has been ahead of the game. Natch the deadwood press will ignore all of that as well as our brave call of yesterday. I look at Burford, its insane reaction, which was a red flag in itself, and then the equally insane reaction of Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS) and where this all leaves disgraced Neil Woodford...

Hammerson – head still stuck in the declining NAV sand

Published 176 days ago

I noted back in February that property group Hammerson (HMSO) had ludicrously turned down a Hail Mary bid approach - at approximately a 70% share price premium to the then share price - and was consequently (correctly) being hassled by activist investors. Roll forward five months and all of this counts for double with the shares driven lower by further property sector pessimism…

Telit, FinnCap, the Oxymorons at AIM Regulation – the endemic problems of the Casino

Published 186 days ago

Telit Communications (TCM) is a case study on why the AIM Casino is such a casino. Not only does it claim to be running at a cash profit while c$20 million of cash disappears in the first half of the year. But rules are broken and the folks meant to stop that, Nomads such as FinnCrap, do nothing to prevent it happening. And the regulators then do nothing about it. So other folks feel free to offend.

Lucian Miers' thoughts on Versarien: the only question is WHEN do the shares collapse?

Published 201 days ago

I see that Versarien (VRS) has finally got rid of Patrick Abbott so that he can devote more time to defending the charges of securities fraud for which he has been indicted. I wrote back in March that his employment demonstrated a huge lack of judgement by CEO Neill Ricketts – as did the failure to disclose the matter at the time. That he should be fired so soon (eight days) after publicly standing by him a second time after further charges were revealed compounds the sense of management incompetence...

Neill Ricketts of Versarien takes to twitter to bullshit about spoof US order - cripes his followers are thick

Published 204 days ago

As I explained on Saturday, there is no reason why Neill Ricketts cannot say the value of his spoof US order. The only reason he will not is that it is tiny.  None the less Ricketts took to his usual medium, twitter, to find a new reason not to admit how small his dick, sorry I meant order, is. And look at how dumb his followers are with their replies!

Patrick Abbott (ex Versarien) in unhinged twitter meltdown against Tom Winnifrith - what sort of company would employ this nutter?

Published 204 days ago

Patrick Abbott clearly does not like the fact that I reveealed and published the fraud charges against him that could see him to a 20 year stretch and which AIM uber-ramp Versarien (VRS)  finally responded to by, eventually bowing to my pressure, and parting company with him last week. Last night he went into a twitter meltdown as you can see below. I ask you what sort of company employs a nutter like this in the first place?

BOMBSHELL: Versarien is its US oil graphene order a total spoof? A hard look at the maths – what it won’t tell you

Published 206 days ago

Yesterday, shares in Versarien (VRS) raced ahead by 10% as it announced an order with an (un-named, natch) US oil and has explorer for 12 kg of its high purity graphene nano platelets (GNP-HP) integrated into a polymer masterbatch by Neill Rickett’s great British Company. But the RNS did not spell out the value. And doing his, almost, weekly ramp on Justin the Clown’s promotional limp dick podcast he again refused to say. So here is some hard maths: I suggest this order may be a spoof.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: I have cracking news for Concepta but still tell its CEO to go feck himself

Published 280 days ago

I start with good news on the Woodlarks front and kind words about the UK's top share blogger Paul Scott who I must remember not to be nasty to for a few weeks at least. If Paul can be a nice guy so can you too HERE. Then I look at Versarien (VRS) in light of today's expose HERE, Management Resource Solutions (MRS) caught with its pants down HERE, Concepta (CPT), Inspirit (INSP), Chesterfield (CHF) and Bould (BOU).

Winnileaks expose (perhaps): Versarien – is Neil Ricketts taking the piss with share sale and BIGT investment

Published 280 days ago

In September 2018, Versarien (VRS) raised £5.3 million at 145p.  Ramptastic CEO Neill Ricketts stated that he wanted to take part, to buy shares at 145p but could not do so as he was sitting on inside information. Yesterday, having exercised options at 29p, he flogged 307,970 shares at 136.1p netting him a cool £340,000. But that is not the thing that, perhaps, really stinks.

Versarien PLC: Update on Patrick Abbott: An Astounding Lack of Judgement

Published 293 days ago

It has taken taken two weeks since Versarien (VRS) announced the appointment of Patrick Abbott as Vice President North American Operations, for his ongoing criminal case to be disclosed, despite it being widely publicized here and elsewhere. Presumably this has been dragged out of the company by some grown up at NOMAD Canaccord.

Update on Versarien and its shocking new American Appointment

Published 295 days ago

Since I last wrote about Versarien (VRS) in November last year the stock had fallen around 20% until yesterday when it ripped 20p on news that it had completed the US-based Graphene Council’s “Verified graphene producer” programme. This gives it a market cap of £187 million. That is a lot of hope value for an enterprise that seems to do little more than announce vague MOUs with various named, and more often unnamed, entities...

Correction on Versarien, though still a stonking short at 123p

Versarien - panic as market cap falls to 'only' £200 million

Neil Ricketts of Versarien in twitter and share price meltdown

Tonight’s AIM awards Black-tie Dinner will nauseate more than ever but will a hat-trick of wins for First Derivatives expose this sham to one and all?

I cannot remember the last time a Northern Ireland player scored a hat-trick in an international. But tonight I am hopeful that Belfast’s finest, First Derivatives (FDP), will pick up three gongs at the annual AIM Awards crony capitalists bean-feast and do the six counties proud. Heading the charge is CEO Brian Conlon who is short-listed for “entrepreneur of the year” sponsored by Octopus Investments. The Judges will have ruled on that before we pointed out that his whole IPO was based on a fraud. It gets better…

Versarien – I told y’all

Versarien (VRS) is the reason why everyone should sign up with Primary Bid right now. Most Primary Bid offers are ones that I have no hesitation in telling you to avoid like the plague, being trapped in a lift with Emmanuel Macron or both. On the markets I look in detail at Versarien (VRS), Greatland Gold (GGP), Velocys (VEL), RM2 (RM2)  and as well as Nomates Neil Woodford I also have some Julie Meyer news, I fear that "Praise Be the Lord" may be about to send me a letter.

Notes from Underground: Get ready for your closeup

One of the many arguments that I have lost with Tom is over the number of readers who reader ShareProphets on bank holidays and weekends. I always argued that the market is closed, so we should be too. Tom has argued that you guys are so obsessed that you'll sneak away from the Sunday dinner to listen to a Bearcast.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - The Versarien debate, putting Lucian into context and Slater & Woodford on "cheap" Britain plays

Published 767 days ago

I discuss Lucian's short on Versarien (VRS) which he discusses again today HERE. I really have no view but raise a couple of points which the bulls might take comfort from though I accept there is a valid bear case too. I look at On-Line (ONL), Lucian's new short,  and try to put Blockchain madness into a historic context. I cover BCA Marketplace (BCA) and then look at the Mark Slater & Neil Woodford thesis on "cheap British stocks." I get it but suggest that there is an elephant in that room called Jeremy.

Versarien heading in the right direction - down!

Published 767 days ago

I was a little surprised by the abuse I copped from recommending Versarien (VRS) as a short at 80p last week. I had failed to spot that it now regularly occupies second place in the ADVFN bulletin board rankings behind charlatan oil promotion UK Oil & Gas (UKOG). (Thankfully I have heard that rumours of a name change to UK Oil and Blockchain are wide of the mark).

Another week where 7 out of 10 of the top articles are videos or Bearcasts. That's fine by me, it's a USP of ShareProphets membership and I'm glad that people are using one of the defining things of our site in such numbers.

Sell Versarien at 80p (and a few more words on UKOG)

Published 774 days ago

Advanced materials engineering group Versarien (VRS) floated on AIM at 12.5p around four years ago. Its plan then was to commercialise a process called Lost Carbonate Sintering, the brainchild of a Dr. Zhao of the university of Liverpool. More recently it appears to have shifted its focus to graphene products.

Why Santa's Rally May Ride Down the Glistening Lane Till the Spring at Least.

Published 774 days ago

Hello, Share Smilers. At the end of the week, the Footsie gave us an early Christmas present of 73 points. 0r 1%. Yet, I don’t think the big index has finished yet with its traditional Yuletide gifts. The Santa Rally, rather late as usual, is now upon us.

After Our Recent Successes, Can You Still Afford Not to Pay for Shareprophets?

Published 781 days ago

Hello, Share Twangers. You may have your suspicions if I return again to the subject of fair payment for the huge number of well-researched articles on this unique website. But I must at least try and save you from the possibilities of losing huge dollops of money.

Versarien – interim results, management chat

Published 783 days ago

Versarien (VRS) has announced results for its half year ended 30th September 2017 and despite emphasising that - with “revenues having increased, losses halved and high levels of interest in our graphene products” as well as a successful recent net £2.8 million placing - “we are viewing the future with much optimism”, the shares have responded approaching 12% lower below 40p. However, this still compares to sub 20p earlier in the month and little more than 11p at the commencement of 2017…

As Darren's Tip Doubles in a Week, Is It Worth a Bit of Momentum Trading?

Hello, Share Riflers. Having written recently on my occasional dabbles in momentum trading, I thought it only fair to mention a share I’m trading at the moment. This share is rocketing along this week.

Three Penny Shares I Have High Hopes For

Published 806 days ago

Hello, Share Peekers. Like some of mine, your shares are probably making some real money in this continuing bull market. But will it keep going? My own view is that it will, bolstered by the fabled Santa Rally. But watch out for the New Year Party hang-over. And even then, selected penny shares will keep on rising, as they often do when the Footsie carnival falters. Here then are some of my favourite small cap jewels, one of which has already boosted my bank balance big time. And I believe that it, and the other two selections, have further value waiting in the wings.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - I am not the 55th person Hillary Clinton had murdered

Published 807 days ago

No Hillary did not have me killed for my numerous comments on her crooked ways. I was just ill yesterday and remain so as you can hear in my voice. Joshua too is down sick and the Mrs is off to the Catalan Republic for a field trip. A joyous week lies ahead. On the shares front I look at San Leon (SLE), FastForward (FFWD) and Versarien (VRS)

LGO Energy, Versarien, Ascent Resources - who is next? Be Prepared...

Published 989 days ago

In days gone by when smaller companies on AIM wanted ro raise cash they went to City brokers and offered them shares at a huge discount with private investors locked out. It was wrong and it was unfair. But all that has changed with Primary Bid.

Those of you lucky enough to attend the big UK Investor Show last weekend will have been treated to the first-time ever stage appearance of the Pizza Hardman, Darren Atwater. What was remarkable about this event is that the share he picked in his 'Dragon’s Den' session has put on 20% in the first few days.

Pizza HardMan Darren Atwater to make main stage debut at UK Investor - shock!

Published 1029 days ago

This is our fifteenth show and, I think, that this is the 6th that the Pizza Hardman Darren Atwater has been involved in. But at last he has agreed to make a main stage debut and it is not to talk about pizza. For what you may not know is that Darren is a trained journalist and, as those who read Notes From Underground every Sunday know quite a funny writer when he wants to be. And so he is on stage.
