Vanadium prices have always been volatile but I believe we are about to enter an up-cycle - buy Bushveld Minerals

I remember when I first covered Bushveld Minerals (BMN) as a buy back in 2016 at around the 2p level, prior to the completion of its asset acquisition, vanadium wasn’t a commodity that you heard mentioned much.

I expect to see higher vanadium prices in the future, so Bushveld Minerals currently offers a great buying opportunity

Almost a year ago I suggested that it would be a good time to consider banking at least some profit on Bushveld Minerals (BMN), but now that the share price has almost halved since then, I believe that the shares are now back in the buy zone.  Here, in detail, is why...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Malcolm you misunderstand IQE

Sorry, I know you thought Joshua was better than i was yesterday but it is just me today. Good news arrives in the post here at the Welsh Hovel. I shall be able to vote for Mr Farage in the European Elections and, better still, the Mrs won't be able to vote for the commies. In the podcast I discuss IQE (IQE) where Malcolm Stacey has it all wrong, Purplebricks (PURP),  Eqtec (EQT), Argo Blockchain (ARB), Bushveld Minerals (BMN) and Dev Clever (DEV). And to the 75% of bearcast listeners yet to do the decent thing: we have now raised almost £19,000 for Woodlarks ( and have another £5,500 pledged) so please help us get towards our £40,000 target with a donation today HERE

In today's podcast I look at Purplebricks (PURP), Neil Woodford's cash woes, re BTG (BTG), MySquar (MYSQ), Fishing Republic (BUST), Bushveld Minerals (BMN), who's a naughty boy then Fortune?, Quadrise Fuels (QFI) and at Sound Energy (SOU) which even at 13p is a verry poor risk reward play.

Have You Heard of Vanadium? It Might Be Worth Looking at Aim Producer Bushveld

Hello, Share Smashers. Do you know what Vanadium is? For those who don’t, it’s a chemical element with the atomic number 23 and the symbol V. It’s produced by Bushveld Minerals (BMN), an AIM company with a market cap of over £500 million. The operation is based in South Africa.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: I'm not joking, the Mrs and I are looking at buying a house in the developing World, that is to say Wales

Come home to a real fire...buy a second home in Wales. You remember the sketch. Anyhow, the Mrs and i are looking and pondering because, as you know, she wants to pursue her career and I want to rear goats. The exercise, however, throws up very real questions about house prices. Moving on I look at Bushveld Minerals (BMN), Optibiotix (OPTI), Avanti Communications (AVN), Imaginatik (IMTK), Redhall (RHL) and Mitie (MTO) another company whose former boss helps to make Jeremy Corbyn's quite insane policies seem almost desirable.

Top broker calls Bushveld at 7.625p down to 2p

In a private email sent today after interim results from the rampers favourite B ushveld Minerals (BMN)  a top broker has called the shares out a s slam dunk sell at 7.625p arguing that they are worth only 2p and that the current death spiral funding will run out soon. He writes:

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: 8+1 may not be worth 9 at Bushveld

In a wide ranging bearcast I ask whether the demerger of Afratin by Bushveld (BMN) will necessarily create value for shareholders. Then it is onto the read acrosses from Pendragon's (PDG) statement, not least for BCA Marketplace (BCA). Then I look at the scandsalous cash-piss by the evil fake news poll tax funded BBC on Interserve (IRV) and what it means for Interserve. I look at MySquar (MYSQ) and how soon it is a zero, UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), Andalas (ADL) and then onto SalvaRx (SALV) where, the fugitive from justice in South Korea, old Jim Mellon has pumped in more cash but where a real crash crunch clearly looms.  Finally a few words on TrakM8 (TRAK)

My top four short-able shorts in London

It is all very well saying that tiddly little companies like Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) or Eden Research (EDEN) are worthless cash guzzling frauds heading for 0p but they are just very hard to short. That both stocks will hit zero is a given. In the end frauds always run out of other people's money. What you want are stocks you can short which look almost certain to collapse. And right now you need them badly as a hedge. A hedge against what?

A Broker warns you on Bushveld... they do it with mirrors

Once again I return to the subject of the company on AIM with the stupidest bunch of shareholders. The auditors of Bushveld Minerals (BMN) have stated explicitly that the company needs to raise fresh equity to avoid going tits up but shareholders respond by saying "how often have auditors got it wrong?" and a range of other excuses. They just do not get it at all, it is placing ahoy. Now the company has news today which the morons who own this stock seem to think is good. In a private email this morning a top City broker put it thus:

BMN
BMN

Bushveld - here's why your 27% stake in Vametco won't generate a cent of cash for the PLC this year and next - placing ahoy

.Bushveld Minerals (BMN) shareholders, aka the dumbest fucks on AIM, are still largely in denial about the fact that a major placing is imminent. This is because they do not understand the difference between profit and cashflow or indeed much else about basic accounts. I will try again. Owning 27% of a company with modest EBITDA (bullshit earnings) is not the same as having a source of cashflow. In fact I bet you an ounce of Vanadium that Vametco will not generate a free cent for Bushveld this year or next.

Reader Comment of the day - Drunken Sailor unearths local issues for Bushveld

You may remember that ShareProphets poster Drunken Sailor and I were co-defendants in a libel case a couple of years ago ( which we won). Mr sailor is not a drunk and he is a great sleuth when he wants to be. My pressing concerns about uber ramped Bushveld Minerals (BMN) are its balance sheet, but DS has unearthed another major issue which, for some reason, Bushveld has not covered in an RNS. Perhaps it might do so now? Drunken's post merits a wider audience:

BMN
BMN

I will make this simple enough that even Bushveld shareholders can understand it

I'd like to start a competition to find the AIM shareholder list with the lowest average IQ. I am beginning to think that it may well be that of Bushveld Minerals (BMN). Sure its shares are up by 400% since the pump and dump of last fall (exposed HERE) and they may rise again on the latest pump and dump of yesterday (HERE) but folks need to be aware that a placing is a slam dunk cert. Oh no, say some very stupid people.

BMN
BMN

It has form, shoddy ramping with grossly misleading RNS from Bushveld - placing ahoy + Cheerleader photo: SELL

This is not the first time that Buishveld Minerals (BMN) has engaged in truly sordid and shoddy ramping to get a placing away. Perhaps you remember this expose HERE which allowed me to crack a massively tasteless joke about blow jobs. The point is that pre-placing ramping back last fall left those suckered in with a really bad taste in the mouth. Wind forward to yesterday.

The Joke valuation that is Bushveld Minerals

I explained some time ago why I thought that the management of Bushveld Minerals (BMN) had treated retail investors with clear contempt and why that made the stock uninvestable. I wake up and find that the shares are now 7p and so - with a lot of "assistance" from a great broker we can note.

Speaking out against Bushveld Minerals (BMN) today will cost me hard cash but I want nothing to do with this company after its sordid antics of last week. Then onto Bushveld Minerals (BMN) and its placing today done by Belfort Securities. What does that tell you about AIM. There is a lot of PR horseshit flying about that placing as I point out. Warning: this bearcast contains bad language right from the start.

Bushveld Minerals deal looks good - speculative buy

Vanadium isn’t a metal that I am that familiar with, but it is found in many everyday items where it is commonly used as an additive to steel to manufacture things such as gears, or anything else that needs to be wear-resistant, and more recently in batteries to store energy.

Bushveld maintains expansion drive

Vanadium, whose applications range from steelmaking to self-recharging flow batteries, may now be trading at barely a third of its levels in 2008, but shares in Guernsey-based Bushveld Minerals (BMN) have almost doubled as the AIM-quoted company presses ahead to develop its 285 million-tonne vanadium deposit in South Africa’s mineral-rich Bushveld Complex and expands its coal and other interests. Floated at 20p three years ago by acerbic wheeler-dealer Frank Scolaro’s Obtala Resources in a deal involving the private Mineral Wealth International group, BMN shares have rallied since April from below 2.3p to 4.35p ahead of a pre-feasibilty study on the project, expected in two months, at a cost of up to $6 million (£3.9 million).

Bushveld Minerals; a stonking opportunity just got bigger

Once more I find my attention diverted from Berkley Minerals (BMR) because of news from Bushveld Minerals (BMN). The wide spread on Bushveld’s share price seems to have sent Mr. Market to sleep, but that is inexcusable.
