Hello, Share Swipers. If your shares are toppling backwards at the moment, you may have the balance wrong between big cap companies and penny stocks. My portfolio is probably split 50-50, with very few firms in the boring middle range. Off course, its the Footsie giants which are most affected by the general slide. Then penny shares, as usual, are going their own way, be it up or down.
Hello, Share Dabblers. As I’m a slave to security, I took fast action when one of my brokers Beaufort went belly up. I did not want to be in the situation where I held more cash and shares with any broker above that unfair £50,000 compensation limit set by the FCA. So I swapped many of my shares into different brokers. But I had a heart-stopping moment with news from Communisis (CMS), a share I’ve long commended on this delicious website.
I start by looking at Gewanter vs devout Christian Julie Meyer - please back heroic Henry HERE. Then I cover Arian Silver (AGQ), Pathfinder Minerals (PFP) and its disgraced CEO Nick Trew, Avanti Communications (AVN), Sprue Aegis (SPRP), Capita (CPI), BT (BT), Communisis (CMS) and Frontera Resources (FRR)
Hello Share Twitchers. The demise of Carillion has spooked the markets. But it’s a nine-day wonder and this nervous period might be regarded as a buying opportunity. Bear in mind that world growth, especially in China, and the slashing of US taxes by Big Donald make a healthy environment for shares worldwide. With this in mind, I suggest you look at the three companies which are currently bulging my bag. They are all probing or beating new highs, but there is still some way to go, I fancy. Also, this trio shares comparatively low Price Earnings ratios, which is one of the best indicators we have of good value.
Hello Share Scorchers. There are still quite a few of our regular readers who can only glean the first paragraph of each article. Just to save less than £1.50 a week. Don’t they realise they would retrieve thousands of pounds just by following our warnings about dodgy cpmpanies they might otherwise stay with till the very end? I can’t understand human nature, and never will.
Hello, Share Smugglers. The main staples of your portfolio, I should imagine, are in these popular sectors; oil, banks, pharmaceuticals, utilities and insurance. I could be wrong, but history shows that people who invested in these areas years ago still hold the stock.
Hello Share Thumpers. I’ve been spending a lot on shares in recent days. The reason is that I’ve not topped up my ISA and, as the financial year is fast disappearing towards a new horizon, I have been selling a few turkeys in my ordinary trading accounts to fund my tax-protected ISA.
Hello Share Trundlers. There is a company which is loosely associated with junk mail. But it does a lot more than that, mostly in the paperwork line. The name of the company is Communisis (CMS) which is hard to say and had deserved a bit more thought when the monicker was first chosen.
Communisis (CMS) is a firm I’ve commended in the past and I’m disappointed that the share price fell by 15% yesterday.
In this podcast i start with two shares on the up: Optibiotix (OPTI) and Volex (VLX). One's a dog and it is not Optibiotix. There is a word on Finnaust (FAM) a caveat on yesterday's bearcast. Then onto Ascent Resources (AST) - that may surprise you - Oilex (OEX), Rolls Royce (RR), Ubisense (UBI), Communisis (CMS), Spire Health (SPI) and Atlas Developments (ADSS) where flip flop is talking more nonsense.
Hello Share Masters. It’s not often I pen a piece which is not optimistic about a company. Being bullish is a trait I’ve had since I started the great game in 1987.
Hello Share Scrunchers. Nobody likes getting junk mail. Except me, who rather likes a big dollop of mail every morning and no longer gets it from friends and family. They’re not dead; they’ve just gone onto email. Lazy beggars! But one firm which does junk post - they prefer to call it direct mail - is Communisis (CMS).
Hello Share Twiddlers. So if the Tories get in again they will sell off Lloyds (LLOY) shares to the public at a discount.
Hello Share Shunters. I'm doing my Christmas cards. This is no quick task as I like to put news letters in each one. And none of these poxy Round Robins for everyone, either
Hello Share Fanciers. I become a little embarrassed from time to time by the fact that I keep bringing to your attention shares which I already own.
Hello Share Tweakers: Not too long ago - which could be years, given my failing memory – I commended to you a little share called Communisis (CMS). At the risk of turning down the corners of your mouth by telling you that they include junk mail in their services, I think they are an even better bet these days.
