Sub-Standard Shockers XI Results review – Comedy Central

It’s annual appraisal time for the squad members with annual results for the year to 30 December 2016 due in for many of them by 30 April. It was always going to be the strong favourite that most would leave it to the last minute so thought I’d provide a quick summary of who announced and when and include some commentary on each.

Opera Investments: Third time lucky but a sad farewell

Mixed emotions for me this week as it looks like one of the more entertaining stars of the Sub-Standard Shockers XI, Opera Investments (OPRA), may finally have done a decent looking deal with the Kibo Mining (KIBO) gold assets; however, it looks like it will be heading off for the sunnier climes of AIM as a result, leaving my squad ever so slightly weakened.

Sub-Standard Shockers XI November update – Two body-blows this week: I’m starting to despair

By anyone’s standards, and this team’s standards are pretty low, it’s been a shocking week with a winding-up petition being issued against the team leader and general inspiration, Worthington (WRN) and player manager, Senterra Energy (SEN) having to ‘fess up to a failed deal with its share price collapsing as a result. How did the rest of the team get on!?

Kibo & Opera deal: good news for one and the other is a running joke

Today comes news that Kibo Mining (KIBO) has sold its non core gold assets to Standard Listed joke company Opera Investments (OPRA). This is good news for Kibo ..as for Opera, its standing just could not get any lower.

Sub-Standard Shockers XI September update – bottom of the league form

With the football season now in full flow, it is appropriate to assess the full squad’s performance to-date. Unsurprisingly, but still disappointingly, none of the squad is fit to even tie the shoelaces of Robbie Savage let alone play in the Premier League, but will the FCA do anything about it?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Highland Natural Resources really is run by some well dodgy fellows

Still no lawyers letter from African Potash (AFPO) has arrived at Sheriff Towers. It really is like waiting for Godot. But at least my mother in law has remembered that it is my wedding anniversary tomorrow. I discuss another thing happening tomorrow, that is to say African Potash which has no cash having to repay $1.1 million to its FD's Mrs, Katrina Clayton. I look at Highland Natural Resources (HNR), Gulf Keystone (GKP), Glenwick (GWIK), Opera (OPRA) and then Gable (GAH) which really has posted a most enormous red flag today. Sell - target 0p.

Highlands Natural - more Helium shite and its most laughable claim yet

In between serving up more prize horseshit with its latest release Highlands Natural Resources (HNR) has claimed for itself almost psychic powers as it attempts to explain away previous lies.

Bearcast

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: appeasing Comrade Dad with capitalist bashing at the Opera

My deluded lefty father is sitting in the corner of the room as I record and to keep the old lefty happy I look at who has gained from the Opera Investments (OPRA) omnishambles, what the company is worth and what should be done to stop clusterfucks like this littering the PLC scene.

Sub-Standard Shockers XI Euros review – hmmm, more England then Portugal

With the Euros coming to a close, it’s appropriate to assess the performance of the Sub-Standard Shockers XI over the last month or so. Well, you know it hasn’t gone well when the best performers are those that have been in suspension for the period.

Highlands Natural - the joke Helium deal with Opera collapses - the lies go on

A month ago Highlands Natural Resources (HNR) announced that it had sold some assets it had bought days previously for $91,000 for £4 million in shares in fellow standard list dog Opera (OPRA) as well as £240,000 in cash. Today that joke deal has collapsed leaving Opera desperately seeking another acquisition and with its credibility in tatters and Highlands needing to explain the lies it has told.

Highlands Natural Resources and its Helium claims - bombshell documents show they are...not true

Highlands Natural Resources (HNR) is yet to answer the issues raised in the Paul Mendell bombshell of last weekend and so while it keeps its head in the sand, here is another matter for it to discuss: why is it lying about its Helium plays? Yes that is the L word - go ahead and sue me bitchez I shall happily see you in court.

Challenge to Robert Price of Highlands Natural Resources

Tom Winnifrith and I have covered Highlands Natural Resources (HNR) in some detail as the list of disgraceful shenanigans gets longer by the day - the latest revelations at the weekend were a killer and anyone holding after reading THIS is now demonstrably insane.

Highlands Natural Resources wont answer damning Mendell evidence so talks Helium Horseshit instead

Highlands Natural Resources (HNR) is refusing to comment on the damning weekend expose HERE and hence its shares are tanking again - to 23.5p. It can stay silent on this matter but that just makes its shares even more uninvestable than before. I wonder if the regulators have got around to asking all about it yet? Instead, Highlands has published some total horseshit on its Helium assets it bought on 8 June 2016 for $91,050.73 and sold eight days later for £4 million in shares and £240,000 in cash in a bogus deal with Opera (OPRA) - HERE

Opera Investments: Can’t remember ever seeing a worse deal – shocking stuff

It’s been a disappointing week for the Sub-Standard Shockers XI with Challenger Acquisitions (CHAL) out with the begging bowl again for a further £500,000 and Highlands Natural Resources (HNR) now sitting at less than half its recent share price peak, as well documented by Tom (HERE). Last but not least, this shocking deal by Opera Investments (OPRA). Although Tom covered the deal yesterday (HERE), it is so poor that it is worthy of a closer look.

Highlands Natural Resources - the bogus disposal to add to the covert placing - this stinks

I have already covered the shocking covert bailout placing by uber-ramp Highlands Natural Resources (HNR) HERE. But today it has also announced a quite ludicrous bogus disposal which even the Bulletin Board Morons seem to concede makes this piece of Turkish a laughing stock. It involves fellow stockmarket dog with fleas Opera Investments (OPRA)

Opera Investments – yet another disappointment on the (Sub) Standard List.

Following on from my recent piece on Toople (TOOP) being its newest member and the almost predictable, disappointing news relating to Opera Investments (OPRA) earlier in the week, the time has come for a call to arms. There must be change to the rules governing the clearly Sub-Standard Listing segment of the Official List as it is not fit for purpose. I need your assistance.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 9 May - Iofina, No, no, no, Mr Market all wrong

I end with a summary of the wildlife diversity encountered today at the Greek hovel as I start pruning the olive trees. I start with Iofina (IOF) where the numbers are ghastly, this is a ramp built on sand. I also cover China Africa (CAF), Opera (OPRA), Bango (BGO) and Optibiotix (OPTI). But my mind is really on the manual labour that lies ahead here in the mountains of Greece
