I start with Mr Moulding who must be a decent chap as he gives vast sums to that beacon of integrity that is the Conservative & Unionist party. I discuss today’s horrible statement from THG (THG).The incident should also see firings at the Mail on Sunday and Sunday Times but it will not. I look at Omega Diagnostics (ODX) as it rushes towards a single figure share price and at Guild e-Sports (GILD), still a joke, notwithstanding today’s statement. Finally i look at the Sound Energy (SOU) bids for Lord Lucan’s Angus Energy (ANGS) Will Lucan get any more lucky?
I do not go into much detail but this has not been a pleasant last 24 hours so hence the lack of output from me. Fingers crossed I am on the mend. I discuss Covid plays and false Covid recovery plays and end of covid victims including Omega Diagnostics (ODX), a mega short as the cash crisis bites, Abingdon Diagnostics (ABDX), MyHealthChecked (MHC) and – especially for listener TB – Cineworld (CINE). Then I look at more murky Trevor Brown goings on at Braveheart (BRH) and the odd world of Free Association Books and the Brown family. Finally the madness at Tintra (TNT) now – for a company with no operations – and, perhaps, £2million cash – valued at c£40 million. Insane!
I start by discussing Eurasia Mining (EUA), its CPR on its nickel assets and Range Resources (RRL) and a similar exercise undertaken by Pirate Pete Landau. Then I look at Omega Diagnostics (ODX), at the piece I penned earlier inspired by Luke Johnson, HERE, and finally at Sensyne (SENS) and what happens next.
You do not need the brains of, the amazing, Rachel Riley to work out that Omega Diagnostics (ODX) needs to do a placing PDQ or it is in serious danger of going tits up, But for those Bulletin Board Morons who, having the brains of a park bench, are in denial here are the maths:
I name all those shareholders or their BB or Twitter names that Union Jack Oil (UJO) is using shareholder cash to troll in a most thoroughly unpleasant way as I exposed yesterday. I also comment on THG (THG), Cineworld (CINE), Tintra (TNT), Versarien (VRS) and then on the bursting of the Covid testing bubble with particular reference to Omega Diagnostics (ODX), Avacta (AVCT) and Novacyt (NCYT) which has its own BIG question to answer. Plus, of course, MyHealthChecked (MHC). I reference vaccination and covid rates in Israel in the podcast which is covered in more detail HERE.
Oh dear. How sad. Never Mind. The Covid testing bubble is bursting and an admission this morning from Avacta (AVCT) is even more of a disaster than a 27% share price slump suggests. This collapse is only just beginning and will spread across the sector, so completely vindicating we cynics of stocks such as Abingdon (ABDX), Omega Diagnostics (ODX) and others. As a bear, preparing to crack out a celebratory ouzo, Let me explain.
Never record a Bearcast underneath a bell tower just before the hour. I explain my new studio and why I had to use it and you can here the bell toll. In the podcast I discuss Omega Diagnostics (ODX) and have some breaking news on ADM Energy (ADME). Suffice to say you’d be crackers to own either share.
The last time I wrote about Omega Diagnostics (ODX) was back in June when I got slated for suggesting that the company had missed the boat when it came to Covid testing, and that its Department of Health and Social Care contract wasn’t worth the headline figure you so often saw people banging on about!
I write after a day in which shares rallied sharply after Friday’s big sell-off. That shakedown was on fears that the Botswana covid variant or rather the extreme over-reaction to it given the level of hospitalizations and deaths it has caused (0 & 0) could see corporate earnings hammered. I noted on Friday that the sell off was driven by a false fear. Surely even the lunatics in charge of the asylum we call Britain will soon have to accept that the Omicron (an anagram of moronic) variant is no great threat and thus the new lockdown measures will have to be reversed and thus the impact on PLC earnings will be trivial. One would hope so. That growing realisation that our leaders have blundered is what, one suspects, drove the rally.
Abingdon Health (ABDX) will, no doubt, claim that its up to £6 million placing, open offer and Primary Bid offer at 25p is down solely to the DHSC not paying delayed bills. But then again this was a company that was technically insolvent before it raised £20 million at is IPO a year ago so, in my view, it has always been a basket case and I have explicitly warned you many times that a bailout was looming. For the record, this will not be the last one. So, who is next? Abingdon again or the other grossly overhyped covid dog Omega (OMX). But first a covid prediction…
Yes I have been with Jaya at the Church and the young mum’s group as is my wont every Thursday morning. In the podcast I apologise to the Earl of Shaftesbury ( if he exists), it is – of course - the Earl of Shrewsbury who has been taking cash for questions. Then I look at Mercantile Ports (MPL), DX Group (DX.), where i am tempted to have a flutter, and at Omega Diagnostics (ODX) where I am not.
Craig Inglis used to be a soccer referee and before that he was manager of the Raith Rovers supporters club. You can see his profile here. He is now apparently a full-time investor. I suggest he is a moron. He asked to “connect with me” two weeks ago and last night I accepted his offer. Quick as a flash this morning he has pinged me and we have had the following exchange. Where do these morons come from?
Hello Share Chasers. The share price of Avacta (AVCT) shares is holding up rather well, considering that vaccines will soon render the virus far less common. Perhaps the world expects testing to be needed until the virus disappears altogether. And we all know that’s unlikely. So, if Avacta shares continue to do well, perhaps we could consider another company which also has some news on the testing front…
Synairgen (SYN) came onto my radar earlier this year. I bought. After yesterday’s monumental rise I’m quids in, and remain a holder. But I owe an apology – I dropped it from my final buy tip selection recorded for last weekend’s Mineprophets show. As discussed with Tom Winnifrith, I did not consider myself sufficiently expert to tip mining shares. Synairgen is a drug company, which is also not my area of expertise, however I liked the investment case but could not tip it – what do I know about bio-meds? Perhaps I should be bolder and more confident?
I start by suggesting you read about the clownish Emma Priestley, AIM's most incompetent boss HERE. Then I take great joy from the news that Channel 4 is having to make big cost cuts, but comment on its moral bankruptcy in taking state aid while still paying stars a packet and also what this tells us about companies such as Audioboom (BOOM). I look at the latest daft idea from my local Tory MP, Sarah Atherton, about the taxpayer funding a dying industry. I discuss a chat with Paul Jourdan of Amati, why I think house prices will crash but the bull case for shares. I look at the new dot.com bubble, the Corona bubble discussing, inter alia, Novacyt (NCYT), Tiziana (TILS) and Omega Diagnostics (ODX).
Featuring shares in China New Energy (CNEL), DDD Group (DDD), Kennedy Ventures (KENV), Omega Diagnostics (ODX), Pantheon Resources (PANR) and Patagonia Gold (PGD) with share price targets for all six stocks.
Although it may appear that Omega Diagnostics shares have not been up to much of late, at least it can be said from a technical perspective that the lack of relative news has been good news.
If you want me to analyse a stock for you just drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org - Today I look at shares of Nanoco (NANO), Omega Diagnostics (ODX), Oxus Gold (OXS) and offer some share price targets.
If you want me to analyse a stock for you just drop me a line at email@example.com - Today I look at Inland Homes, Omega Diagnostics, Sirius Minerals.
Have I mentioned Quindell (QPP) yet today? You want more? Okay it gets a mention in the podcast as does Forte Energy and the whole issue of death spirals. The Horse Hill stocks are all mentioned as is Omega Diagnostics, the nature of bear markets and the importance of earnings visibility.
