Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: I will appear in court for PWC if asked to defend £63m joke Quindell claim

I start with a few notes on Covid hysteria, referring you to my earlier piece on perceived death rates HERE but also to research showing how pointless wearing face nappies is HERE. I look at R4E (R4E) and how Richard Jennings asks me to explain why Dr Green’s valuation of Bluebird Merchant (BMV) is a joke. I am a Good German and oblige. The shares, which I own, are – I believe – very cheap, but the analysis of Green is piss poor. Indeed it is so piss poor that the journalist-smearing old bastard should be fired at once. I look at Watchstone (WTG), Quindell as was, and its £63 million claim against PriceWaterhouseCoopers filed in the High Court today. I shall happily give evidence for PWC. I comment on Avacta (AVCT), Versarien (DOG), and Red Emperor (RMP).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: if you wait by the river for long enough...

In today's podcast I explain why Julie Meyer has spurred me to battle on, though I do consider calling it a day now and again. I look at Quindell (QPP), London & Capital Finance, Neil Woodford, and flag up that the FCA has opened or stepped up an enquiry into another company I covered in some detail. You can speculate which, more details when Winnileaks comes good.  I look at Red Emperor (RMP), IQE (IQE), Verseon (VERS) and Blue Jay Mining (JAY). If you enjoyed this, I think, profanity free bearcast, follow a bloke from the Grim North who donated enough to buy a whole house in the welfare safari and support the Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.

Nudge, Nudge, Winx, Winx - all sorts of games were played around this drill!

The drilling and testing of the Winx-1 well on the North Slope, in Alaska, has been so farcical that it would almost be comical if it wasn’t for the fact that vast sums of money have been lost as a result of it. As is the norm with this type of exploration drill, social media has been awash with all sorts of rumours, and self-proclaimed drilling/reservoir engineers seem to have sprung out of nowhere armed with diagrams to show why it would be a huge find and was even better than some of the existing discoveries in the region – in reality though, many of the ‘experts’ are online avatars and could just as easily be someone who works down the local chippie and their actual experience of oil involves a deep fat fryer!...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: If you take tips from BB morons you deserve all you get

I start with a few thoughts on Brexit and equity valuations. Then I discuss allegations of systematic market abuse via Bulletin Boiards and twitter and reflect on how you should make your own investment decisions. Finally a few words on the Winx debacle in Alaska, Red Emperor (RMP), Pantheon Resources (PANR) and 88 Energy (88E). If you enjoyed this, less than PC, bearcast, follow a bloke from the Grim North who donated enough to buy a whole house in the welfare safari and support the Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: 17 million F*ck Offs

Forgive the title. It is the new song by my pal Dominic Frisby which you can see below. It covers Brexit and is, I think, rather funny, no: it is pure genius. In my podcast, I look at Red Emperor (RMP) and the other Winx plays, Mirriad (MIRI), FinnCrap (FCAP), Akers Biosciences (AKR), Independent Oil & Gas (IOG) Nautilus Marine (NAUT), a real dog, and finally I have a hot deeply discounted placing rumour on I3 Energy (I3E). If you enjoyed this bearcast, follow Jim Mellon and support the Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Susan Searle of WPCT J'accuse & Great Scott: Revolution Bars is enough to turn a man to drink

I suggest listening to my Neil Woodford scandal bonus bearcast first HERE but I have another bone to pick with Susan Searle, the chairman of Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT) on how she has screwed investirs today. Then I look nat Red Emperor (RMP), 88 Energy (88E), Pantheon Resources (PANR) and at Cabot Energy (CAB). Finally a look at the latest woes at Revolution Bars (RBG) - you really would have thought that Britain's thirstiest share blogger would have nailed this as his specialist subject but it appears not. If you enjoyed this podcast please support the EIGHT rogue bloggers for Woodlarks with a small donation HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: as a former tax dodger in the Isle of Man I can't say I'm shocked by the Paradise Papers

Of course when I was a crony capitalist I spent a couple of years in the Isle of Man with its progressive tax system.  That was all legit, it is called tax avoidance (legal) not tax evasion (illegal) but it is clear that the IOM facilitates a stack of illegal tax evasion. I am not shocked by the Paradise Papers revelations on this and explain why. Elsewhere there is follow on work on Totally (TLY) looking at more red flags and the vanity of sales, then coverage of Red Emperor (RMP) and P:aragon Entertainment (PEL)

Is something brewing at Red Emperor Resources?

There are strange goings on over at Red Emperor Resources (RMP). Since the company announced the failure of the Hawkeye-1 exploration well, it has issued half a dozen holdings RNSs in which three organisations, including its UK broker, Brandon Hill Capital, have been steadily increasing their notifiable holdings on the open market. Yesterday, the J&J Bandy Super Fund joined the party, declaring its 3.66% stake. Today the company’s share price has risen 8.37% to 1.27p, last seen. Does the market sniff that something is afoot?

Red Emperor Resources: why these stocks should be avoided

This morning, Red Emperor Resources (RMP) announced that the Hawkeye-1 exploration well, offshore in the Philippines, has failed. The company’s share price is down 60%, as of writing. Once again private investors on AIM have suffered horrific losses at the hands of a pure play oil exploration company. This further calls into question the appropriateness of listing such shares on the market.

Range Resources & LandOcean: Six Burning Questions

Despite the market’s reaction, this morning’s announcement by Range Resources (RRL) leaves shareholders in this company with many of the usual guessing games we have come to expect. Why can’t new CEO Rory Scott Russell prove he is his own man and break from the past? Why do RNSs released under his watch still leave more important questions unanswered than answered?

Range Resources; Remembering Puntland

Apparently I damned Range Resources (RRL) with faint praise yesterday. While the ramping brigade worked themselves up into a lather over what an incredible deal the $12million placement is, the realists recognised that 1p is a pretty dreadful price. The market clearly agrees. Only about £980,000 worth of stock changed hands (c.130million shares). It remains to be seen what Range’s new management team does with the slender lifeline it now clings to, but assuming it can genuinely turn the company around, then there is still a massive prize to play for in a few years time; Puntland.
