Amigo shares collapse as Court rules against the loan shark’s attempt to screw its customers again & judge slams the company

So much for the spike in Amigo (AMGO) shares yesterday in the belief that the Court would agree to its plans to pay customers it had ripped off only very partial compensation. The FCA opposed the scheme since it sees those ripped off getting only partial redress while equity holders keep the rest of the cash stolen by Amigo. And the Court, it emerged this morning, agrees with the FCA and myself and Justice Mills slates Amigo. As for foul mouthed bear raider Evil Knievil…

Bizarre Exchange with top Barrister John Joseph Mac Lucas - the latest direct threat against me over Supply@ME Capital

Let me be clear, Mr Mac Lucas was not threatening to hire a hitman to have me killed. He is not that sort of Supply@ME Capital (SYME)shareholder. But the top barrister from the Farringdon Chambers did, however, take to twitter with a brand new account he has since deleted but which I have captured in screenshots below, to threaten me with legal action. How do I know this is not a fake account? Because I contacted his chambers and, this morning, senior clerk Robert Archer replied:

Verditek – Tiny Oz order as I correspond with one of its lunatic shareholders, a case study in Winnifrith's first law of investment

Of course the first order Verditek (VDTK) won in the land of high culture was way back in 2019. But that turned out to be a fake “take or pay” contract designed to ramp the shares ahead of three bailout placings. Having finally fessed that it made that one up, Verditek has today announced a real order from down under. But it is tiny and will do sod all to ease the financial woes of a company that is technically insolvent, having negative net current assets and which is still burning cash.

BREAKING: The blatant market abuse at Dev Clever – the FCA does seem to be taking it seriously

I contacted the FCA last week about what appears to be blatant market abuse, or possibly even securities fraud, at Dev Clever (DEV) and to its credit it has sent back a non standard reply indicating that it is taking the matter very seriously. As a reminder, Dev did a placing on December 20 2019 and its CEO sold £500,000 shares a month later only to admit in February that sales for the six months to 31 October 2019 were way below forecast. How can a software firm have not had any inkling of that before the placing and CEO share dump. It defies belief. The FCA writes:

BREAKING - Brady & Cenkos: the FCA reverts on matter of non disclosure: this could be interesting

Last week I reported Brady PLC (BRY) and its Nomad to AIM Regulation and the FCA over material non disclosures. As a result, the former forced Brady to issue an RNS in which it came clean as to the horror of its financial position. Now it seems as if the latter is looking at my material and might just launch a formal investigation. The FCA has been in touch with its favourite investigative journalist and writes:

Master Investor - the photos of a washout that asset stripper Jim Mellon is desperate you do not see

If anyone from Jim Mellon's organisation wishes to visit UK Investor Show we give them admittance. But Jim's minions are desperate to stop us from seeing what a shambles and disaster his event yesterday has become. While Mellon's henchmen stopped Darren Atwater from attending we got another photographer in and what she produced shows why Mellon is so desperate to hide the ghastly truth about his heavily loss making event.

In his own words. Neil Woodford on Vernalis, his disaster of the day (up for sale and firing staff)

The chart below says it all. Neil Woodford managed funds own 28% of Vernalis (VER). The shares were 50p when he filled his boots in a placing two years ago. They are now 4.5p as the company has started closing down its operations and has put itself up for sale. As ever, as the shares tanked, Woodford knew better....

Challenge accepted, Mr Winnifrith: my stock picks for 2017

Last week, Tom accused me of bailing on on my 2017 tips as I was too busy dancing naked around the Winterval Pole praying for Gaia to weaken the minds of good people around the world to accept ciimate change. Or something like that, I didn't read it too closely. Now, my role here at ShareProphets is to keep the plates spinning, not make the tips. But that changes today.
