Avanti Communications - time for this worthless piece of crap to fess up?

Avanti Communications (AVN) is now operating without its founder and, until recently, its CEO, the king of the uber Welsh ricks David Williams. Say what you like about a man with an ego the size of Powys, but he was a good bullshitter. Without him keeping the plates spinning and proimising everyone jam tomorrow, the drowning in debt satellite company which never hits any of its targets, would have been toast years ago.

After Falling to Earth, This Sci-fi Share May Rocket, Once Mr Spock Locks On

Hello Share Scoopers. There have been quite a few occasions now that I’ve commended a Footsie satellite company to your attention. On each mention, as I recall, the share grew in value. However, last year the shares took a big knock.

Fancy Throwing Cash into Outer Space? This Share May Lift Off

Hello Share Chasers. Every so often, I remind you of the potential of a British company which is higher than all other outfits in the Footsie. Though I am talking of high in the physical sense, rather than a matter of status.

The Problem May Be Fixed with Inmarsat, Jim. Ahead Warp Factor 6.

Hello Share Squeezers. I have been a big fan of Inmarsat (ISAT) the  big satellite company. Over the last few years, it has made me loadsamoney. But as Uncle Tom rightly said a few months ago, the story has since changed to the company’s detriment. And the shares have lost a third of their value over the last half year.

Avanti Communications and the 60-80% fall in prices it is not shouting about

Perhaps that is why drowning in debt Avanti Communications (AVN) has been unable to hit any of its targets and perhaps it is why it is going to run out of cash his year. It seems that the price it can charge for satellite capacity has fallen by up to 80%. Who says so? er...

Avanti Communications: contract win announcement shocker: is everybody here on drugs?

As ever, when Avanti Communications (AVN) sees its share price slipping it announces a new contract win. There is a brief rally, and the rally gets smaller each time this trick is pulled, and then the shares start to fall again because - as we know - this company is hurtling towards insolvency. And so with the shares sub 90p to sell on Friday what do we have today?

A Small Set-Back, Jim, but Inmarsat Still Aims for the Stars.

Hello Share Stumpers. Today I return to the space-age firm of Inmarsat (ISAT) the satellite company that goes where no man has been before. That’s probably over-egging the pudding, as there is some competition for what it does, which is arrange the launching of communications satellites into space. I have had my shares a long time and have seen my investment rocket. However, there was a glitch at the end of last week  when the company revised its revenue expectations. The shares were down about 14% at one point

Avanti Communications - Cut the Crap you sheep shagging bombast and answer the questions

Are you starting to see a pattern here? Avanti's (AVN) shares slide. Folks ask a couple of difficult questions and "hey presto" the company announces a totally meaningless contract win but will not answer the questions. There is a brief rally in the share price but each time uber Welsh bombast David Williams pulls this trick it has less and less effect. David you surely know that you can screw some of the sheep some of the time but you can't screw all of the shareholders all of the time.

Try the Telstar Tradition and Probe into a New Satellite Venture

Hello Share Plinkers. You may recall that I am a strong supporter of some companies which have links with outer space. Or at least, with satellites. One such favourite has done exceedingly well for me. I refer to Inmarsat (ISAT) that great British space pioneer which does so much to link up people in inaccessible places. Like the top of Everest, for example.

Is Avanti Communications making money from ISIS?

The suggestion from the German paper Der Spiegel is that may well be. The paper has run a full story despite strong suggestions from Avanti Communications (AVN) lawyers that it should not do so. Given Avanti's oft repeated claims that it wins major business from the UK military perhaps it might wish to issue a formal statement. The full article is below.

Avanti Communications - a letter to the Financial Reporting Council re 2015 accounts

Now that, post the fraud Quindell (QPP) I am such good friends with the only watchdog with teeth, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) I have written to my pals asking them to investigate whether the 2015 accounts for Avanti Communications PLC (AVN) give a true impression of how the business is doing. I do not think they do. But Avanti also has other worries which is why the shares will crash.

Avanti Communications PLC - Finding Revenue From Outer Space?

You have to hand it to Avanti Communications (AVN): faced with its fourth annual earnings or revenue miss on the trot it has managed yet again to paper over the ever-widening cracks in its creaking edifice.

Journey into Space as Inmarsat Blasts Through Another All-Time High.

Hello Share Wingers. You probably know by now that I’m usually very glad to support shares where the potential is all in the future. This is why I’m a fan of biotech companies, which are trying something new. The risks are big because the pitfalls, including the fear of failure and tough licensing stipulations. But the rewards can be quite staggering.

A tale of two updates: Avanti and Tungsten

Both Avanti Communications (AVN) and Tungsten Corporation (TUNG) had trading updates last week. The knee jerk response to both was to mark the shares higher before slamming into reverse, in the case of Tungsten within minutes and with brutal consequences, whereas Avanti has experienced a gentle drift to just below the pre update level of 230p.

Avanti Communications the new share price Quindell

In a private note sent to clients yesterday but not published one of London’s sharper brokers asked the question, in share price terms is Avanti Communications (AVN) the new Quindell (QPP)? He writes:

Inmarsat Is No Waste of Space.

Hello Share Mashers: Inmarsat (ISAT) is a great British space-age techno company – but not as we know it, Jim. You may recall lots in the news about Inmarsat earlier this year. They were the ones who were looking for bits of wrecked plane in that big missing aircraft tragedy.
