Cineworld – trading statement ignores the elephant in the room

Cineworld (CINE) reckons that as the world emerges from the scamdemic its trading is improving helped by some really great movie releases. I am not quite so sure about that and today’s trading update misses out the most critical number investors need to see, the movement in the vast debts in which this company is drowning. That omission tells you all you need to know.

Argo Blockchain December update – why is it selling Bitcoin at a loss? And why is it punting on a falling knife?

The monthly trading update from Argo Blockchain (ARB) is the usual mix of smoke and mirrors. If you are someone who has waded through the sea of red flags highlighted HERE and still believes  there is comfort for you. But if you are a cynic you too will find comfort. Plenty of it.

Defi here, Defi there, bloody Defi’s everywhere - more smoke and mirrors from Dispersion

The antics of the Mike Edwards/Jonathan Bixby gang at Aquis listed Dispersion Technologies (DEFI) have been well documented on this website. All sorts of scoundrels backed this in a heavily discounted pre-IPO round, the sort of scoundrels whose accounts at broker Pello ignore lockins and the smoke and mirrors continues today with news of an acquisition. The stench here is getting unbearable.

EXPOSE: Powerhouse Energy – What is its tech all about? This really is all hot air, smoke & mirrors

Both Tom Winnifrith and I have commented on the corporate goings on at Powerhouse Energy (PHE) often and over a long time. We can and should comment on all the questionable activities to inform investors. Pierolunaire commented earlier this week how it is not always possible to drill into the techy detail of all companies. I agree with that, but if you work in this area, rather than being a professional spouter of pomposity, then it is possible.

Breaking: Eight Capital Partners and more Supply@ME Capital related smoke & mirrors

This really is Alice in Wonderland stuff. Sitting on the big mushroom is Dominic White, the ex-chairman of the Supply@ME Capital (SYME) fraud but also boss of Aquis listed Eight Capital Partners (ECP) whose last stated net assets were just £40,000. Now Supply promoter Zak Mir hands over the hookah to the dormouse. Please try to keep up.

BREAKING: The Love that dare not speak its name, so much more smoke & mirrors from Supply@ME Capital and Dominic White

Dominic White stepped down as chairman of the fraud Supply@ME Capital (SYME) on July 22 but is still involved in the company and the way CEO Alessandro Zamboni is dumping all the shares he controls. Today, White’s Aquis listed company Eight Capital Partners (ECP) has put out a release which is all about Supply shares but, for some reason, fails to name the company once. Suspicious? You bet.

BREAKING Zoetic – disastrous second business update & no results: an unpolishable turd

The fraud Zoetic (ZOE) said it would serve up its final results in July. Instead, on July 1, we had a trading update and today we have another trading update. If results really are out before the weekend, why rush out a second trading update this morning? This is smoke and mirrors time as the trading news is absolutely dire and the absence of those results should alarm even the most moronic of morons.

Remote Monitoring Systems' 2nd face nappy order but it is still trivial & what about deal one?

We still do not know the status of the first face nappy order announced by Remote (RMS) on March 4 for 100,000 masks and then 1 million every month thereafter. We were told on 4 May that within a couple of months the distributor Francis Mcintrye would be ordering as planned. I sense that with face nappy wearing set to become voluntary in the UK soon, that this will come to nowt. But fear not, there is news from India.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - filling in another fecking form for Greece

That wasted an hour of my life but it looks like all systems go for Saturday when Steve Moore will be in charge of this website while Joshua and I head to the Greek Hovel. In today’s podcast I look at bitcoin’s latest dump and Argo Blockchain (ARB) and at Dev Clever (DEV) and its joke acquisition. That required a bit of work for me at Companies House as did researching today’s smoke and mirrors deal from Remote Monitored Systems (RMS) – how did Nomad SP Angel sign off on this cobblers? I then look at Avacta (AVCT), Zoetic (ZOE), MyHealthChecked (MHC), Bidstack (BIDS) and the fraud Supply@ME Capital (SYME). Where are its results?

Supply@ME Capital – utter smoke and mirrors on the Tradeflow deal – what a complete con

The fraud Supply@ME Capital (SYME) says that its calendar 2020 results will be out next week. Let’s hope auditor Crowe UK has boned up on IFRS or it could be in the merde with the FRC.  And Supply has given more details of its proposed acquisition of TradeFlow Capital as it has now moved from an MOU to signing a share purchase agreement. Sadly, the latter is all smoke and mirrors.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: even by the standards of Roland "Fatty" Cornish this is an utter disgrace

There are a lot of disgraceful things happening today and so this is a long bearcast and Matthew and his Dog will enjoy it. In it, I cover: the fraud Supply@ME Capital (SYME), the Zoetic (ZOE) fraud, the utter shocker at Live Company (LVCG), where Fatty covers himself in shame, Sarah Willingham’s Nightcap (NGHT), a gotcha! for me but more smoke and mirrors and valuation anomalies from Ms W and finally Braveheart Investment Management (BRH). In the excitement, I forgot to mention uber dog Bidstack (BIDS) which is now down to its last seven weeks cash and where a bailout placing must be imminent. If you enjoyed today’s show, how about backing the Rogue Bloggers HERE?

Woodfordesque Smoke and Mirrors from Tern

Following my prod on Wednesday, AIM-listed jam-tomorrow IoT investment company Tern plc (TERN) appears to have encouraged investee Wyld Networks (two out of three of whose directors are the Chairman and CEO of Tern) to finally file a SH01 regarding the share issue and debt conversion announced by Tern at Wyld on 28 January – only about a month late. Naturally I’m pleased to help. But is all as it seems?

Cloudbuy – Smoke and Mirrors Trading Statement: SELL

AIM-listed Cloudbuy (CBUY) has offered up a trading statement for the year ended December 2018 and it seems that still not all of the garden is smelling of roses. Revenue was down by around 25% and although we are told of two opportunities which together would see the company reach cash-flow breakeven, we are not told when and we don’t know the likelihood of conversion to a contract.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The Horse Hill Maths that just don't stack up for UKOG and that $15 million placing by Cornhill "outed"

On the agenda today as I prepare for my weekly coffee morning with my baby son Joshua and the fit young mums is: Andalas (ADL) a joke broker note, MySquar (MYSQ) another RNS which is all smoke and mirrors and a desperate attempt to prop up the shares but SP Angel refuses to force the company to come clean on the lies in the last RNS and the fraud. Pathetic. I look at Interserve (IRV) and its latest dire news. We did warn you. I "out" the company that was truing to raise $15 million via Cornhill yesterday. I look at former ZAI clients whose days on AIM are numbered and finally I read across from yesterday's Horse Hill trade involving Regency (RGM) and Alba (ALBA) to show just how monstrously overvalued is, out of cash and desperate to place,  UK Oil & Gas (UKOG)

Advanced Oncotherapy - The Death Spiral dance begins....timber!

Having promised "non dilutive funding" ad nauseam, on Wednesday AIM listed POS Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) announced a £13 million death spiral funding with are shylocks Bracknor. On Friday it drew down tranche one and promptly served up another dose of smoke and mirrors for punters. The death spiral dance is now underway. Advanced announced that:

Fox Marble - chat with CEO Chris Gilbert: nailing the conspiracists

There are folks out there determined to suggest that something is not qu9ite right with Fox Marble (FOX). In one sense they are correct, Fox has missed a stack of targets. We know that and it is well and truly "in the price". The conspiracists quite simply maintain that Fox is built on smoke & mirrors. They are - I believe - wrong but their war on Fox has left the shares very cheap indeed.

TrakM8 claims its generating pots of cash. That is not the case - still a sell

No doubt Paul Scott is wetting himself as TrakM8 (TRAK) boasts of how pre-tax profits of £3 million leads to cash of £4.45 million being generated in calendar 2015. There is so much cash generated that his Dorset bunnies are paying a 2p per share dividend, even though the company has now moved into net debt. The squeals of Scotty delight in Brighton are almost audible here in Bristol. Except that it is all smoke and mirrors. TrakM8's business remains a piss poor non generator of cash.
