Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - All these cures for premature ejaculation can't come soon enough

Published 7 days ago

Boom boom! I suspect that once again the Mrs will regard that that title as rather crude as she did with this offering the other day. I discuss that topic which is close to the heart my old friend Jim Mellon. Then I look at MySquar (MYSQ), a disaster waiting to happen and its link to disgraced Bell Pottinger. Then it is onto Avanti (AVN) before I issue another warning about 88 Energy (88E) not that the morons trying to ramp it will listen. Finally I look at strange share price action and hard maths for Zibao Metals (ZBO)

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Audioboom, the Bulletin Board oil analysts - more folks to run the lavs at Athens bus station

Published 13 days ago

I covered the Interquest (ITQ) scandal in a separate bearcast HERE. If you like bad language or tales of AIM wrongdoing you will love it. Elsewhere I look at the latest utterly meaningless trading statement from Audioboom (BOOM). Why is its CEO Rob Proctor so averse not only to defending free speech but also to handing out metrics that actuially mean anything. He is another man for the job of lavatory attendant at the Athens bus station. And BTW this company is going to run out of cash AGAIN. I also look at Havelock Europa (HVE), UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) and 88 Energy (88E). Now SIGH UP FOR A HOT SHARE TIP FREE HERE NOW!

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The 88 Energy trainwreck & would you rather back a company run by Steve Moore or Dave Lenigas

Published 15 days ago

My relative radio silence since yesterday is explained by this video. Today's bearcast is my last recorded from Greece for almost three months. The view from where I record is spectacular. The only question is whether I can upload it given how piss poor the internet is here. I look at 88 Energy (88E) and see massive problems ahead, comment on BNN (BNN) and Telit (TCM) and that brings me to the issue of management. It is critical in investing. Ceteris paribus, would you rather a company you were invested in was run by our own Steve Moore or by Big Dave Lenigas?

Tom Winnifritb Bearcast: lessons from Carillion, 88 Energy, MySQUAR and the faux political correctness of my father exposed

Published 72 days ago

Here I am in Shipston with my father who enjoys bearcasts if they mention him so just for that reason I record again. His faux political correctness is exposed by the issue of coverage of women's cricket in The Guardian - the dreadful newspaper he has delivered to try to fool my family of public sector "working" lefties that he is one of them. In terms of the market I look at Carillion (CLLN) and 88 Energy (88E). Shares in both companies are collapsing today and I look at why and at what lessons folks should be learning. You could so easily have avoided losing money on both. Please note Malcolm Stacey and other Ocado (OCDO) bulls, lesson one on Carillion is for you. I also make it clear that while he may have some of the attributes of a Bulletin Board Moron as he showed HERE, Evil Knievil is not, in fact, a BBM, I was just joshing him when I suggested otherwise. En passant I look at MySquar (MYSQ) and explain why today's exposes HERE and HERE may refer to events a long time ago but are pertinent.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: an attractive 29 year old woman dreams about Concepta - Dr Freud & Mr Winnifrith comment

Published 197 days ago

We start with myself and Dr Freud trying to offer helpful advice to an attractive young lady. The the podcast meanders on to Thor Mining (THOR) and I digress to an old pal whose uncle was apparently a war criminal. Then I move on to Bowleven (BLVN), 88 Energy (88E), Rose Petroleum (ROSE), Electronic Data Processing (EDP), Worthington (WRN) and pension deficits.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Plutus Powergen was doomed when its boss said he liked my work

Published 202 days ago

An early bearcast as, much to the dread of my morbidly obese three legged cat Oakley, we are about to suffer an invasion of the working classes. Of course praising my work was not the biggest sin of Plutus Powergen (PPG), that was its oink on rebasing of options and bonuses. But now it has a bigger problem, OFGEM and I reckon it has every reason to be worried. Then I look at 88 Energy (88E) suspended in Oz but not on AIM ahead of a placing. Then it is on to Amur (AMC) again and to Avanti Coms (AVN) whose shares are just 14,5p. That is 14.5p too high. Finally a long look at changes in retail and what that means for us all. That is based on a Wolf Street article HERE.  I also refer to the series I am running on my 1970s childhood in rural Northants HERE. Gosh the world changes rapidly.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - Please God let those emails arrive so I can ruin someone's weekend

Published 291 days ago

I have had some emails read out to me and they are dynamite. I hope they will land in my in-box soon. I shall pop into the small church on the way to the Greek Hovel tonight to say a prayer for their safe arrival as if they arrive some folks are in deep deep merde and it will certainly be an ouzo o'clock moment.  Please join me in my prayers. Elsewhere I look at Boohoo.com (BOO), Avanti Communications (AVN), Cloudtag (CTAG), Mosman Oil & Gas (SHITE), African Potash (FRAUD), 88 Energy (HYPE) and with that I wish you all a happy weekend.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - The analysis I am proudest about in 2016 from 2 AM today

Published 329 days ago

Some folks have commented about yesterday's bearcast. Hmmmm if you think that you are well placed to tell me what i can or cannot say after 24 years as a journalist you can just fuck off and see if I care. Thereafter I talk about 88 Energy (88E) and about Strat Aero (AERO) - placing at 0.2p or is it 0.25p ahoy? Then the analysis which I think is my best of 2016 and which I served up at 2 AM today - HERE  - now it is off to lunch with Uncle Chris (Booker) and the younger generation.

The 88 Energy Rampathon - it is 'avin' a bubble

Published 336 days ago

Another day and another ramptastic RNS emerges from the Icewine jam tomorrow factory owned by 88 Energy (88E). What we really want to see, of course, is the quarterly report for the three months to September 30th showing just how much of the June 30th net cash of A$20.3 million has been spunked away to money heaven. The answer to that will explian today's ramping.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Happy Birthday Lucian Miers - Negative Feedback for Feedback

Published 372 days ago

Happy birthday Lucian, it looks as if my son is hanging on to avoid joint parties in the future. Theresa May has a new idea on tackling fraud. Suffice to say what she proposes will damage industry and Britain PLC. I have another suggestion - enforce existing rules. Mrs May fails to understand the psyche of most fraudsters but also how useless the fraud busting agencies of the state are. I then move onto bad news for my good friend Jim Mellon at his latest AIM Disaster, Billing Services (BILL), then I cover XCite Energy (XEL) and read throughs at IGAS and Iofina (IOF). 88 Energy (88E), China fraud Zibao (ZBO) and the smelly business at Feedback (FDBK)

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: A deluge of AIM sleaze as I prepare to assemble a cot, a task from Greek mythology

Published 380 days ago

In a while I must go asremble a cot. It won't be like a cot of old but is bound to have 85 parts, six types of screw, an Allan Key and instructions designed for a Nobel Prize winner. It is like a heroic task from Greek mythology and I expect to be in a bad mood soon. So for that reason and one other I record early. On the agenda: Cloudtag (CTAG), Gulf Keystone (GKP), Pantheon Resources (PANR), 88 Energy (88E), Vipera (VIP), XCite Energy (XEL) and Strat Aero (AERO) and only en passant the fraudsters at African Potash (AFPO). This podcast is long and detailed.

88 Energy: A Case Study in the Risk Tolerance of Private Investors

Published 388 days ago

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - My father prepares to sink Fred Olsen

Published 419 days ago

I start with the bad news for whoever owns Fred Olsen.  I think look at Octagonal (OCT), Blur (BLUR), much ramped Keras Resources (KRS), XCite Energy (XEL), Magnolia Petroleum (MAGP), 88 Energy (88E), Highlands Natural Resources (HNR), Sareum (SAR) and then a joke IPO called Widecells (WDC), which listed yesterday and is now the subject of a ramp. Feel the stem cells. No actually don't. Just sell.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Insulting Froggies on Bastille Day and Morons on Gulf Keystone day

Published 433 days ago

It is of course Bastille Day and that, of course, prompts a few jokes at the expense of the Froggies. I then move into Gulf Keystone (GKP) and a spot of moron baiting and working out moron investing game theory. I then move to a detailed look at Digital Globe (DGS) before covering en passant XCite (XEL), LGO Energy (LGO), Trinity (TRIN), Circle Oil (COP), Premier Oil (PMO), IGAS (IGAS) and Nostra Terra (NTOG). Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 20 April - Dealing with Oakley's latest deposit

Published 517 days ago

You may say that Oakley's latest deposit and Teather's Financial (TEA) have a lot in common. I cover both in this podcast apologising and dishing out blame for the latter at least. I also cover 88 Energy (88E) and Great Western Mining (GWMO) which is also a total piece of Turkish. I look at Tertiary Minerals (TYM) and also cover PGC Entertainment (PGCE).

88 Energy shares suspended in Oz its Placing ahoy (as we said)

Published 518 days ago

In the land where most people are descended from convicts and where culture is something that grows on top of yogurt (I refer to Australia not the slums around Liverpool), shares in 88 Energy (88E) have been suspended as it is placing ahoy. Whatever next? Rolf Harris again denying the's a nonce?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 15 April - In poor Phorm after lunch with Lucian

Published 522 days ago

I woke up last night panicking that after staggering home from a boozy lunch with Lucian I had written a drunken piece laughing at all sorts of folks after Phorm admitted it was bust but that I had just written it becuase I felt like it not because it was true. Imagine my relief to discover that it was in fact true and with hindsight I think I write jolly well when drunk. Perhaps we should have a writing contest myself & Paul Scott both drunk vs two boring sober bastards. I digress. I look at BP and executive pay and unable to resist poking some fun at the ghastly Nicola Horlick and dreadful Channel 4 News. I look at 21st Century Technology ( C21), Gulf Keystone (GKP), Strat Aero (AERO), Grand Group (GIPO)) and 88 Energy (88E) where Lucian is short. In a sort of flashback I recall our discussion yesterday on 88 and recount it.

88 Energy - when's the discounted placing? All the money's gone

Published 526 days ago

At the end of December AIM listed 88 Energy (88E) had cA$1.2 million net debt and cash of cA$9.6 million. However in the prior quarter it spunked cA$16 million, with just under a million of that on PLC costs. Hmmmmm - What do you think is left?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 7 April - it is like passing your frigging driving test

Published 530 days ago

I shall leave Solo Oil (SOLO) to a distinct piece on this day of vindication but suffice to say the numbers do not add up. While Lenigas groupies wait for that remember to enter the Jabba yacht caption contest where we already have some cracking entries (HERE). Then I look at corporate governance and how the City needs to be seen to be whiter than white, ref Paternoster Resources (PRS). Then it is onto: Kodal (KOD), 88 Energy (88E), Miton Group (MGR), Belgravium (BVM), Environmental Recycling (FRAUD) and Ascent Resources (AST).  And finally remember to pre-order the latest free e-book from myself especially if you are a Bulletin Board Moron and want help - you can do so HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 6 April - Taihua, Solo, Strat Aero & the clown Lenigas

I also cover Solo Oil ( SOLO), Strat Aero (AERO), 88 Energy (88E), Cluff Natural (CLNR) and the time Algy met a man in shorts and a T shirt (me) and turned up his patrician nose, and Nighthawk Energy (HAWK)

As you might expect from a man on cold turkey in the nicotine department I am not in a good mood. Send me an ars-ish tweet and you are blocked, call me with a daft conspiracy theory (flip flop take note) and I curse you. I comment en passant on the Horse Hill ramping and it is ramping by David Lenigas and others. I comment on 88 Energy (88E) and on Tertiary Minerals (TYM), on Frontier Resources (FRI), Outsourcery (OUT), GTS Chemical (GTS) and Magnolia Petroleum (MAGP). And I discuss a prediction by a Nomad that 250 of the 1000 companies on AIM will disappear by Christmas so allowing me to retire which I shall do.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 15 Feb: 88 Energy, Fast Forward, Magnolia - it's all bollocks

Published 582 days ago

All sorts of crap shares are going up today and some that are not crap but are just insanely overvalued. In a podcast riddled with bad langauge I discuss 88 Energy (88E), Fast Forward (FFWD), Phorm (PHRM), Hornby (HRN) and Glenwick (GWIK) among the risers and among the fallers I look at Auhua Clean (ACE), All Leisure (ALLG), Iofina (IOF), ETherapeutix (ETX), the frauds Jiasen (JSI) and Aquatic Foods (AFG) and finally I ask all the advisors (nomad, broker PR flunkies) to Magnolia (MAGP) just show shabby and dirty they feel today. If I was them I would feel sordid and ashamed. They are all beneath contempt.

Onto shares and I start with the madness of the 88 Energy (88E) share price today on a risk reward basis. Then it is onto Hornby (HRN), Renold (RNO), Global Invacom (GINV), Wandisco (WAND), Leed Resources (LDP), Golden Saint Resources (GSR), Fusionex (FXI) - target price 0p - Phorm (PHRM) and finally I ask all of you a question about Imaginatik (IMTK).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 29 December: Flip Flop Ben Turney, ZincOx, 88E shareholders you are all in frigging denial

Published 630 days ago

I delay breakfast at Tom's Diner in Brooklyn for you dear listeners. I explain the sacrifice I am making.  Then the theme is one of denial as I examine Zincox (ZOX), Sefton Resources (SER) & flip flop Ben Turney and finally 88 Energy (88E). I move onto how one reacts to fair questions and the scumbags at China New Energy (CNEL) and Afriag (AFRI). I look at Asian Citrus (ACH), InternetQ (INTQ) and Mosman (MSMN) - both zeros and eServGlobal (ESG) which is also heading for 0p. There is a final swipe at Rare Earth Minerals (REM) and Jabba The Hutt, Mr David Lenigas.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 15 December - Fitbug tits up poll & is it Jabba or Chris Oil for the Christmas Carol?

Published 644 days ago

The Mrs listened to me recording Bearcast today and said that I seemed very happy. Maybe it is the thought of the next Afriag (AFRI) article I am working on or perhaps it was the second painkiller of the day kicking in? Or maybe a truly moronic Bulletin Board Moron posting? In this upbeat mood I discuss who should feature in this year's three part Christmas Carol? Fat Aussie share ramper David Lenigas or market abuser Chris Oil? Or should I run two series? Then a discussion on when Fitbug (FITB) goes bust. After that - in a bad language section - I discuss Arian Silver (AQG) and its fucktard PR man Dominic Baretto. I move onto Plethora (PLE), Aveva (AVV), Concha (CHA), 88 Energy (88E) and Caza Oil & Gas (CAZ) before rattling off the names of a few other small oilers that really are zeros.

Does AIM make thieves of us all?

Wildrides and I swap the odd email, so I do know his real name. He is an experienced investor and someone whose opinion I respect, but our recent exchange has left me wondering; does AIM make thieves of us all?

And so I cover Lenigas Cuba (CUBA), Big Jabba's preposterous claims about liquidity on ISDX and Solo Oil (SOLO) - placing ahoy! I also look at Mosman Oil & Gas (MSMN) -  more shite from poltroons from the land where most folk are descended from convicts - Flying Brands (FBDU), 88 Energy (88), Kea Petroleum (TOAST), JQW (FRAUD), Northern Petroleum (NOP), Optibiotix (OPTI) and African Potash (AFPO). 88Energy – private investors acting like lambs to the slaughter

Published 670 days ago

Will private investors on AIM ever learn? This morning 88 Energy (88E) raised A$3million at 0.47p, a mere 24% discount to where the stock opened on Monday. The company also announced a first come first serve Share Purchase Plan (SPP) to raise up to €4,999,999 from existing eligible shareholders. Under the terms of this, retail holders of 88 Energy are allowed to purchase parcels of up to A$15,000 worth of stock on the same terms as the placement participants. No doubt people will fall over themselves to take up this deal, but if the company has such great prospects why the steep discount?

88 Energy - is Icewine the Horse Hill of the American Wilderness?

Published 676 days ago

Red warning flags have been billowing over 88 Energy  (88E) ever since it changed its name from Tangiers Petroleum (TPET). Tangiers was an unmitigated disaster for shareholders, but it seems that a simple name and ticker symbol change is all that is needed to induce an acute case of market amnesia. Having bet the farm and lost in Morocco, it is incredible that managing director David Wall survived. A little over a year later and he is now running one of the most heavily promoted oil exploration campaigns on AIM. People never learn, but this morning’s announcement from Tangiers, sorry I mean 88 Energy, fired a warning shot across the bow of anyone planning to hold this stock as a buy and hold.
