IN THREE DAYS: Enjoy an audience with Gervais Williams (AND the cheapest stock on AIM) - book a free seat now

Published 28 days ago

For 18 years Gervais Williams of Miton has been one of the UK's top small cap fund managers delivering an  annualised return of 8.7% over that period, almost 2 points per annum better than the market. Miton (MGR) is itself listed and has been a good share to own. So what is the secret of Williams' success and what small cap shares is he buying or selling right now?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: I'm now second in the league but let down by attempted spivvery

Published 62 days ago

I explain the headline ion the podcast but it is all to do with Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) and UK Investor Show - book your free ticket for March 30 today HERE. I explain why Old man Stacey really has lost the plot on Brexit, he needs to look at what is happening in China and that will make him truly fearful. I look at Tesla (TSLA) and UK Oil & Gas (UKOG).

Notes from Underground: reminiscing about 80s high streets that I have never seen

Published 68 days ago

When I look at the high streets today, I don't see a significant difference from high streets in Canada or the United States, aside from shop names and even those are tending to be global now.

Tom Winnifrith Bonus Bearcast: Finncap Je t'accuse re the AAOG debacle - everything that is wrong with the AIM Casino

Published 71 days ago

In this bonus podcast, recorded at a Motorway service station, I look at the Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) debacle and THREE massive failings by the Nomad and broker FinnCrap (FCAP). I raise questions about FinnCap it cannot answer but also show why this eiposde flags up the conflict of interest issue which is the cancer destroying the whole of AIM. The home truths will make uncomfortable listening for many.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Neil Woodford disgusts me ( as a capitalist) & vindicated on Anglo African Oil & Gas

Published 72 days ago

In today's podcast I start with the shocking revelations about Neil Woodford's greed and reward for failure. Folks like Nomates are more of a threat to capitalism than Lenin. I am vindicated on Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) and await apologies from the Bulletin Board Morons. I discuss the whole affair including the shameless behaviuour of FinnCap (FCAP). Truly FinnCrap is a moral sewer. I discuss First Derivatives (FDP), offer up my nap buy for Q1 2019 and have some questions that require an urgent answer from John Gunn's Octagonal (OCT)

Reader Post of the week - a scientific study of Bulletin Board Morons

Published 72 days ago

Thanks to Drunken Sailor for his scientific study of Bulletin Board Moron behaviour which he posted in the comments section last night in the wake of the Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) hornets nest. His research is invaluable and merits a wider audience. The great man writes:

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Trying to understand how a moron thinks - ref AAOG

Published 73 days ago

Following on from yesterday's bearcast I discuss the noise and the silence surrounding Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG). I look at ITM Power (ITM), Cabot Energy (CAB), Starcom (STAR), Quadrise Fuels (QFI), IQE (IQE), Accrol (ACRL), uber-smelly Independent Oil & Gas (IOG) and Footasylum (FOOT)

Anglo African Oil & Gas – who is the villain here: Tom Winnifrith, Nomad FinnCrap or CEO David Sefton?

Published 73 days ago

Yesterday I revealed that Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) was undertaking a massively discounted placing at 10p to raise £4 million which seems to have stirred up a real hornets nest among the Bulletin Board Morons. I have been reported to the FCA numerous times ( again) and the charge is that I am the villain. But am I? I suggest not but put up two other candidates for that eipthet and that I am the hero of this tale.

Meet PushPullGymApparel - He is a Moron. He owns shares in Anglo African Oil & Gas

Published 73 days ago

Meet another charmer from twitter. Natch this poltroon also seemed convinced that the demonic TW was short (I was not!) his beloved Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG), not just being a good journalist and breaking a story.

Meet Alec B - he owns shares in Anglo African Oil & Gas and he is a moron

Published 73 days ago

Alec B is a moron. Alec B has two followers on twitter so it looks as if the world knows he is a moron and Alec B owns shares in Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) so that is proof he is a moron as you can see below.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: AAOG £4m placing at 10p? And what do IFA's who have stuffed clients into Woodford do now?

Published 74 days ago

In today's bearcast I bring you a hot rumour. The King of the spiv bucket shops Jon Bellis of Novum is apparently trying to raise £4 million at 10p for Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG). I look at Sound Energy (SOU), Andalas (ADL), delays in selling houses and in a similar vein what IFA's who have put clients into Woodford funds do next. I also look at Gear4Music (G4M) and director share buying which is a sell signal. I make a brief comment on Optibiotix (OPTI) and almost tie it in with a mother-in-law joke but resist the temptation.

Table of shorted AIM shares - week to 23/11/2018

Published 118 days ago

From the FCA's spreadsheet of short positions required to be disclosed to it, the following shows the shorted AIM shares with positions from 2017 and thus far in 2018 (by net short position %) - and if this position has increased (red), reduced (green) or remained unchanged (black) since last week...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Is a Cynical sinner set to repent and Andalas is 'avin' a Turkish

Published 323 days ago

In terms of the sinner who is repenting (or is he?) I refer to our own dear Cynical Bear and Sosandar (SOS) where I own a few shares. Andalas (ADL) will still not answer my four questions and now wants to gag me if it does. It is 'avin' a Turkish. I consider Midatech Pharma (MTPH) and an RNS which brings back memories of a glass of sherry and a philosophy tute at Oxford with Dr Malpas. Then it is on to Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) and to Anglo African Agriculture (AAAP). Finally I give the timing of our £1 billion fraud takedown tonight.

Namibian Resources – has it fallen foul of Duncan, the fastest cybersquatting postman in the West?

Published 1053 days ago

In digging around Namibian Resources / Anglo African Oil & Gas this week to see how poor Oleg Schkoda was getting on, I couldn’t help but notice that it appears that Namibian / Anglo African has fallen foul of one of the most well-known, but unlikeliest, cybersquatters, of the last 20 years, 51 year-old Cardiff resident, Duncan McDonald.
