Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The analyst who said a corporate client was "not bust yet"

Published 12 days ago

I start with a tale from my early career and then cover Mosman Oil & Gas (MSMN) - the two are related - Iofina (IOF), Portmerion (PMP) and its profits warning, but is it a buy? And finally I look at Audioboom (BOOM) and worry that another placing will be needed soon. Finally, we are over £20,000 now but most bearcast readers are yet to donate to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks, If you have donated I thank you. If not, please go HERE TODAY

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - these companies are just taking the piss as management troughs it

Published 17 days ago

Ahead of lunch with a scouser I encounter someone just out of prison. There you go, life here in the Grim North. I urge you all to follow the lead of Saintly Tech Queen Vin Murria HERE.Greedy AIM bosses screwing shareholders infuriate me and in that vein I cover: Mirriad (MIRI), EVR Holdings (EVRH) and Argo Blockchain (ARB). I also look at FinnCap (FCAP) where the dam is breaking, Share PLC (SHRE), Frontier Smart Technologies (FST) and Audioboom (BOOM).

Audioboom – placing flops and it still dissembles: Gotcha!

Published 26 days ago

Last Thursday evening I revealed in a bit of a scoop that Audioboom (BOOM) was trying to raise £8 million at 2.5p. The next morning the company was forced into a statement and said it was trying to raise £5 million at 2.5p. That was not really true - I published the deck the wretched company had sent to potential investors showing it was trying to raise £8 million. Today it fessed up that it has raised just £2.8 million with £1.2 million of that coming from the board and the Candy Brothers chucking good money after bad. What a shower…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Greensmith dont be such a knobhead when I scoop a placing by your POS client

Published 30 days ago

This website is placing scoop central. For the avoidance of doubt we do not engage in market speculation we report fact. Peter Greensmith you know that to be the case and are being a knobhead for pretending otherwise. Yes this is a bad language special covering Audioboom (BOOM), Bidstack (BIDS) and Westminster Group (WSG). I also cover Inspirit (INSP) and FairFx (FFX) and explain what has been occupying me today: we have two new cats. Finally as I prepare for a 24 mile training walk on Saturday do the decent thing and donate to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE

Audioboom struggling with placing, forced to scale back, dissembles in face of our scoop

Published 30 days ago

Yesterday I revealed that Audioboom (BOOM) was running around trying to raise £8 million at 2.5p HERE. The Company has responded with an RNS "Statement re Online Commentary on proposed fundraising." Oh come on CEO Rob Proctor you free speech denying knobhead, surely you can brinmg yourself to recognise which fine website scooped you and forced the statement. The statement natch dissembles as I shall demonstrate below.

BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Project Coffee - Audioboom set to place again at 2.5p

Published 30 days ago

The codename for the latest bailout funding of Audioboom (BOOM) is Project Coffee. The presentation, which I have seen, gushes about growth opportunities but that is always the way with this serial deliverer of jam tomorrow. There is no mentioning of burgeoning trade payables. That is always the way with Audioboom and its bailout placings. Anyhow, the company is, according to its jargin filled document "now seeking to raise a ‘growth’ capital round of c£8m at c2.5p per share."  With the stock at 2.3-25p that might be a bit of an ask. Time for an official comment on this ShareProphets scoop methinks...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Happy Birthday Dad, Ooh Er MRS & time to back Mr Farage

Published 51 days ago

Happy Birthday Dad. I hope that you enjoy your "medicinal" apple based gift. I am about ten days from moving house and have just completed a mail relocation form so I shall get my postal vote for the Euros forwarded. I dislike many of the creeps who surround Nigel Farage but his Brexit party has my vote in the bag and I explain why. I look at Management Resource Solutions (MRS) as another red flag emerges for this insolvent piece of crap. I cover Westminster Group (WSG) run by loathsome swine Tony Baldry, Audioboom (BOOM), Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT) and his other dogs and Purplebricks (PURP) in a Joshua interrupted podcast.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: taking apart the Audioboom trading statement

Published 53 days ago

I start with a question for wretched PM Theresa May - which of your assessment's of Jeremy Corbyn was correct? I then look at the strange events at Brave Bison (BBSN), take aprt Audioboom's (BOOM)  joke trading statement, look at Jersey Oil & Gas (JOG), Management Resource Solutions (MRS) and, finally, thirsty Paul Scott favourite TrakM8 (TRAK). Now how about you all follow the good Craig and donate a "one-er" HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Sitting here thinking about the fraudster Rob Terry of Quindell infamy

Published 90 days ago

I consider what Rob Terry is doing now as I contemplate the latest threat to Watchstone Group (WTG), Quindell (QPP) as was. I look back on a few other fraud busting successes but view them as fairly irrelevant. I am more proud of my work for Woodlarks and, in that vein, again urge you to sponsor Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.  I consider DeepMatter (DMTR), Audioboom (BOOM), Centamin (CEY), Yourgene (YGEN), Big Sofa (BST), I3 Energy (I3E) and Kavango (KAV)

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - Audioboom's placing tomorrow, 6 reasons why it is a bargepole stock, the corruption of the deadwood press & silly Kelly Tolhurst MP

Published 91 days ago

In today's podcast I look at Audioboom (BOOM) in light of today's placing "scoop" in the M ail on Sunday and also what it says about the corruption of the deadwood press. I also comment on the virtue signalling by silly business minister Kelly Tollhurst re diversity on FTSE 100 boards. Suffice to say she, scores a gamma double minus for data analysis.

Audioboom Trading Statement: what it says is bullshit what it does not say is more important – placing ahoy

Published 125 days ago

Free speech denying, relative employing, value destroying serial bullshitter Rob Proctor of Audioboom (BOOM) is at it again with a trading statement that Nomad Allenby should be thoroughly ashamed of, in every respect.

Notes from Underground: Why read when Bearcast is around?

Published 126 days ago

Since I broke up the leaderboard into stories and Bearcasts—as a way of shoehorning in more stories—readers don't really get to see the domination of Bearcasts on the leaderboard, much to Tom's irritation.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Kidnapping the Chavs cat, the disappearance of Wildes and more

Published 144 days ago

In today's podcast I explain why own in-house Bulletin Board Moron Wildes has disappeared, how I am considering kidnapping the Chavs cat, a forthcoming contest and then I look at Amur Minerals (AMC), MX Oil (MXO), Audioboom (BOOM) and Online Blockchain (OBC).

Tom Winnifrith bearcast: Spooooooooooooooooooof from Audioboom, is a Woodford dog on death row & Gabriel Grego's new mega short dossier

Published 174 days ago

Gabriel's dossier should appear here 2.15 PM London time. It is explosive. In today's podcast I discuss Telit (TCM) and shamed FinnCrap, Halosource (HAL) and hapless Neil Woodford, Audioboom (BOOM) and a backfiring spoof, Tomco (TCM), Yourgene (YGEN) and the weather here in Greece as the olive harvest draws to a close.

The mystery of the Audioboom Dog that barked – SMTM mothers!

Published 181 days ago

Following a week of intense share price weakness, Audioboom (BOOM) has served up, what looks like, a panicked trading statement. It is long on blather but fails to mention the one thing that really matters: the looming cash crisis. This company could be out of money and insolvent by Christmas, indeed sooner, but free speech denying, family on the payroll poltroon of a CEO Rob Proctor fails to address that elephant in the room. I suppose that there is some good news.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Will Audioboom go bust by Christmas & about that Sosandar placing...

Published 186 days ago

In today's extra long bearcast my swearing is minimal and I start with the rather bleak macro picture. How long will the sell-off continue, what is causing it and what should you do?  I then look at Audioboom (BOOM OR BUST), Sosandar (SOS), Wey Education (WEY), Frontera (FRR) and Babcock (BAB). You can book free seats to grill Sosandar, Nigel Wray etc on December 3 HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: back from my hot Indian dentist babe but I can't speak properly

Published 234 days ago

I cannot really speak properly. Forgive me, there is good reason. However I offer comment, breaking rumour and analysis on Tern (TERN),  Purplebricks (PURP) and the plight of the shorter, Berkeley Energia (BKY) and planned yellow journalism by the tossers at the FT and Audioboom (BOOM) and management spoofery.

Champion value destroyers Audioboom issue another dire warning dressed up in bullshit- bankruptcy looms

Published 234 days ago

Oh dear, oh dear. At what point will those who have backed this crock of shit decide that it is not worth chucking any more cash down this black hole. I know that free speech denying boss Rob Proctor and his relatives on the payroll need jobs but but this company is just a disaster zone. As he wakes up for a meeting with Karma today, Proctor tries to polish the turd but today’s lack of profits/almost out of cash warning is his worst yet. And that takes some doing given his track record of abject operational failure and of consistent value destruction

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - Breaking news on the MySquar fraudsters

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Sorry I made a mistake yesterday

Published 333 days ago

The mistake in yesterday's podcast was on Telit (TCM). In fact it is even worse than I thought! The good news is that sponsorship of the walk I'm doing with Brokerman Dan for Woodlarks has now topped £9,000. I explain here why this walk makes the difference between Woodlarks having to cut services or carry on, please do give a tenner today. This afternoon sees Joshua and I on another training walk, my second in two days. Think of my pain and COUGH UP HERE. In a long bearcast I predict that, after today's shocking news, FastJet (FJET) will be sold for £1 and explain why. I look at Havelock Europa (HVE), 88 Energy (88E), Lyin' Steve Sanderson's UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), Frontera (FRR), Andalas (DOG), Mysquar (FRAUD) and Audioboom (BOOM).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: the fraudster's best friend in journalism, Ben Harrington, does his master's bidding again

I look at Audioboom (BOOM), Frontera (FRR), Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT), Prime People (PRP) and 88 Energy (88E). Tomorrow I will be bored to death by Lucian Miers, he will drone on about West Ham for 6 hours as we complete a 19 mile training walk from Bristol along the Avon to a few miles past Bath. I am building up to my 32 mile walk for Woodlarks with Brokerman Dan on 28 July. Think of my suffering tomorrow and please donate a small sum HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: So just why were Bush & Morgan fired by Cabot? I think I have the answer to that $16.5m question!

Published 342 days ago

I am still recovering from yesterday's 14 mile training walk for the Woodlarks 32 mile charity walk. Yesterday's trip did not go quite to plan and ended up being a tad longer than expected. I explain all HERE. If you enjoy my suffering I shall do a 20 mile walk next weekend so how about you spare a tenner and sponsor me HERE. In the podcast I ask very hard questions about the sacking of the CEO and FD at Cabot Energy (CAB), formerly Northern Petroleum. I think I know why the P45s and black bags were handed out but Cabot must come clean NOW. Same Nomad, different dog, more questions - MySquar (FRAUD). Then I look at Audioboom (BOOM) and Wishbone Gold (WSBN) where I am a long suffering shareholder. And I smile to myself as I remember watching Germany vs Argentina four years ago in Kambos HERE

Gavin Burnell of Globo infamy – what does he do at Novum and does the FCA know?

Published 345 days ago

I noted yesterday that Gavin Burnell of Globo infamy was one of the team at Novum Securities which raised £4.5 million for Audioboom (BOOM) at 3p – a placing which is already well underwater. How do I know? Because his name is one of three at Novum on the RNS. But here is a funny thing: Burnell is not approved by the FCA to conduct investment business! As you can see below, it reckons he is “inactive.”. I took this up with Novum boss Hugh McAllister…

First of all thanks to so many of you for your kind responses to yesterday's bearcast - I am now in a serious dialogue with the Police and I hope they will catch and prosecute the culprit.  In today's podcast I look at the Sunday Times Rich List which is largely fiction, at Audioboom (BOOM), MySquar (MYSQ), Premaitha (NIPT - where we own shares and indeed have bought more - The People's Operator (TPOP) and Telit (TCM)

Audioboom - Karma for Rob Proctor with his fecking cornflakes: RTO pulled, almost bankrupt

Published 376 days ago

I cannot hide my pleasure at today's catastrophic news from Audioboom (BOOM). Media companies should believe in free speech - Rob Proctor's outfit buckled at once forcing me to move bearcast elsewhere. And now Proctor's company faces possible bankruptcy in four weeks time. Ha fucking ha. This is a shambles.

This Legal Eagle has Landed Some Flying Profits and Should Keep Soaring Above.

Published 442 days ago

Hello, Share Chisellers. Mostly I suggest you look at small-cap and penny shares. But every portfolio needs a few ’safer’ stalwarts to keep an even keel. One such company for me is Legal & General (LGEN). Now, most insurance companies have seen their share prices bloat in the last year or so and that happy trend continues.

Bearcasts again dominate our top 10. Podcasts are dominating the iTunes chart. The daily NY Times podcast is now being syndicated to radio. There is something happenening in this space. Webpages have heretofore been static, but they are not regulated and much more freedom of subject matter.

Audioboom Trading statement - all the money's (nearly) gone

Tom Winnifrith Bonus Bearcast: AIM Companies starting to surf the wave of Blockchain madness - I've seen this all before

Published 555 days ago

In this bonus podcast prompted by recent events at African Potash (AFPO) and ADVFN (AFN) I look back on other bouts of market insanity. There was the radio boom of the 1920s and the dot com boom of 1999-2001 but is the blockchain bubble at 1999, 2000 or 2001? Among the companies also mentioned are On Line (ONL), Vela (VELA), Milestone Group (MSG)  and Coinsilium (COIN), where we have a small holding. Madness, my friends, is in the air.

Audioboom: pretentious new sales monkey joins but when's the next bailout placing

Published 579 days ago

I sense that this is the start of another pump before the dump of yet another bailout placing by the free speech-denying tossers at Audioboom (BOOM). Today we have news that Oli Walters has joined as head of UK sales. Oli pretentious millennial twist on Oliver perhaps? I am sure that he will fit in brilliantly  and help rack up an admin overhead which is now closer to £600,000 a month than £500,000.

Audioboom – following another quarterly update with Rob omitting the meaningful financials, house broker updates…

Published 625 days ago

Audioboom (BOOM) was able to get its shares up by more than 12%, above 2p, yesterday on the back of a “Third Quarter Update”. Unfortunately though this was achieved by CEO Rob Proctor again substituting jam tomorrow verbiage for meaningful financials – as Tom Winnifrith noted in a BearCast HERE. There has since been an update by house broker Allenby Capital…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Audioboom, the Bulletin Board oil analysts - more folks to run the lavs at Athens bus station

Published 626 days ago

I covered the Interquest (ITQ) scandal in a separate bearcast HERE. If you like bad language or tales of AIM wrongdoing you will love it. Elsewhere I look at the latest utterly meaningless trading statement from Audioboom (BOOM). Why is its CEO Rob Proctor so averse not only to defending free speech but also to handing out metrics that actuially mean anything. He is another man for the job of lavatory attendant at the Athens bus station. And BTW this company is going to run out of cash AGAIN. I also look at Havelock Europa (HVE), UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) and 88 Energy (88E). Now SIGH UP FOR A HOT SHARE TIP FREE HERE NOW!

Audioboom - CFO walks with immediate effect - why?

Published 668 days ago

Audioboom (BOOM) has today announced that CFO, David McDonagh has left "with immediate effect". It says it is looking for a replacement but gives no reason for the departure. And oddly this resignation occurs just one week after the company published interims. It was clearly not planned.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Wringing the Vicar's Neck, he is a mad Guardian reader

Published 796 days ago

Dad and I got back from the hospital and were sitting down to lunch. water for me, wine for him. After a morning with a range of Shipmans he deserved it. Who should bound in but the vicar from our old village of Byfield. I told him that I had recently written an article about wringing his neck HERE. He then gushed out a stream of left wing views on Trump, Brexit and other matters that were so barking mad that even my Guardian reading father was a bit taken aback. A bitter attack on Uncle Chris Booker was the final straw. No wonder the CofE is going to the dogs.  On the podcast that followed I cover Orogen (ORE) where we are in and backing Adam Reynolds again, Nyota (NYO), Audioboom (BOOM), Andalas Energy (ADL) and Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO).

Audioboom – BOOM! Discounted fundraising follows bullish ‘KPI’ update earlier this month

Noting the balance sheet position (and related-party transactions) suggested continued caution, I previously updated on spoken-word audio platform company Audioboom (BOOM) earlier this month as the shares were recovering above 3p on the back of a “First Quarter KPI Update” announcement. Now BOOM – it’s discounted placing ahoy!...

The venue London in a new bonus session at UK Investor Show. I explain more about this total one-off in today's podcast. It is 4 weeks to the day to UK Investor and tickets are 85% booked out so if you are not booked in book NOW! On this podcast I also look at Brave Bison (BBSN) and TrakM8 (TRAK) and how cost cutting can itself prompt a cash crisis. I look at Audioboom (BOOM) with a more generous eye. I look at Glenwick (GWIK), now booted off AIM, which stinks. And I look at the idea of investing in shite companies to make money, ref Red Leopard (RLH) and Cynical Bear. This also brings me to ECR (ECR) where we own shares and I now see arch ramper Big Gib is on board. Over to you Big Gob do not let me stop you!

Red Leopard Holdings – if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em

EVR Holdings – That’s enough of the larks, I’m calling the top - SELL

Published 850 days ago

This morning’s RNS from EVR Holdings (EVRH) made me look again at this AIM darling and I have reassessed. I ended my last piece on 6 January on the topic with the sentence: “For the avoidance of doubt, I’m not calling the top…….yet. Just keep on moving that stop loss up and enjoy the ride!” Well, I’m calling it now, it’s time to get off the ride!

Audioboom – related-party bailout & acquisition with marked uplift from “nominal consideration” in sub 6 months

EVR Holdings – shares double as predicted to 6p, so what to do next?

Published 876 days ago

In September I used EVR Holdings (EVRH) as a case study in ‘How to make money out of a Chris Akers stock’ and suggested that it could rise from around 3p and wouldn’t be surprised to seeing it hit 6p, but would perhaps get out then. Well, it hit my target price this week, more quickly than I initially envisaged, so what would I do now?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - News from the Inspirit Boiler room is bad but Advanced Onco's bad news is er?

Published 877 days ago

I start with thanks for all the offers of support in dealing with the criminal poltroon Aidan Earley of Worthington (WRN)  - now in liquidation - infamy. I then look at Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) and the questions it is NOT answering. Then I touch on Audioboom (BOOM) before going onto Parallel Media (PAA) before ending up with the basket case that is Inspirit Energy(INSP), its bleak future and its links to the Teathers Financial (TEA) scandal. Finally I brace myself for a night of woe tomorrow.

Audioboom – claims “reached a crucial tipping point”. Er, yep… nearly all the money’s gone AGAIN!

Previously writing on spoken-word audio platform company, Audioboom (BOOM) I noted “agreement for investment from China ‘not yet been reached’, surely not to be cash crunch ahoy AGAIN!”. The company is now “pleased to provide an update on its Q4 KPIs and trading for the year ended 30 November 2016” and, well, er…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: the storm clouds cover the mountains where the Greek Hovel lies

Published 907 days ago

Though I may have pneumonia thanks to Paul Scott, I am now safely in Kalamata looking up at the mountains where I live when in Greece and the storm clouds are ominous. So back to the stockmarket I look at Finnaust (FAM), Audioboom (BOOM), Avanti Communications (TOAST), Condor Gold (CNR), Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO), Webis (WEB) and Anglesey Mining (AYM) which is spouting bullshit today as it places.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Red Flags come home to roost for the Sheriff's fave AIM Turkeys

Published 912 days ago

How is that for a Thanksgiving mixed metaphor of a title? In this podcast I look at denial, red flags and bending the rules on the Casino. Among the companies covered today are:  Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO), Cloudtag (CTAG), African Potash (AFPO), Fastjet (FJET) and the insider dealing, Mkango Resources (MKA), London Capital (LCG), Audioboom (BOOM), Milestone Group (MSG) and I flag up that Steve & I have a hot share tip you can access for just £5 coming up very soon HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast Recorded from my new home - at a motorway service station

Published 921 days ago

Yes, I am indeed resident at a motorway service station as I explain HERE. In today's podcast I look at ethics, Milestone (MSG), Strat Aero (AERO), SalvaRx (SALV), Gulf Keystone (GKP), Blur (BLUR) - as a long I kid you not - and Audioboom (BOOM), er..less so.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: banking £309 fecking quid from Audioboom - 21 bottles of ouzo ahoy!

Yes my royalties have arrived. I comment on Audioboom (BOOM), Andalas Energy (ADL), Inspirit Energy (INSP) and Cloudtag (CTAG). My other podcast on why Hillary Clinton is the World War Three candidate is HERE.

Audioboom - Horseshit Trading Update from cashburning central

Published 957 days ago

Later today I shall record another most excellent Bearcast using the Audioboom (BOOM) platform which to date appears to have generated advertising revenue for me of er...nothing at all. That is somewhat below what I was led to expect but who cares, I bring you my expletive ridden thoughts for the sheer pleasure of it. Let's start early today with the tourette's: The Audioboom trading statement is just plain shite.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: 100% Shite Research from Belfort Securities on Advanced Oncotherapy, Servision and Strat Aero

Published 965 days ago

I am in a bad mood because a) baby with no name is screaming a lot and I am tired and b) some little shit for brains round at Beaufort Securities was slagging me off to a client today. This little turd of little brain turned out to have his facts wrong and so I am now officially on the warpath and, hence, go through today's morning note from Belfort and dissect its utterly 100% shite research on Strat Aero (AERO), Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) and Servision (SEV). I also look at Audioboom (BOOM) and Kodal Minerals (KOD).

Audioboom – agreement for investment from China “not yet been reached”, surely not to be cash crunch ahoy AGAIN!

Published 965 days ago

On 5th August Rob Proctor, CEO of spoken word audio platform Audioboom (BOOM), was “pleased to report that Audioboom has made further tangible progress in H1 2016, growing revenue, securing significant new content partners and further broadening its geographic distribution”. However, the financials showed it was cash crunch ahoy. Less than an hour later it was placing ahoy and there is now a “Strategic investment discussions update”

EVR Holdings – How to make money out of a Chris Akers stock

Published 973 days ago

EVR Holdings (EVRH) has shown impressive share price growth since coming to market via an RTO in May earlier this year increasing from 1.1p to 2.95p at close on Friday so I thought it was time to review the stock and use it as a case study to show how one can make money out of company connected to Chris Akers.

Audioboom - drowning in red flags - where to start: sell

Published 1024 days ago

I noted a week ago, here, that Audioboom (BOOM) shares were weak and that since it was running out of cash I reckoned a placing was afoot. Lo and behold there is indeed a £2.55 million placing at 2.5p today but there is also a stream of other announcements which are a red flag festival. This is a horror story.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Roland "fatty" Cornish - "oops I did it again

Published 1031 days ago

I start with Gulf Keystone (GKP) and a share price driven by morons. talking of morons, London's most useless Nomad, Roland "fatty" Cornish has screwed up again. This time it is Nyota Minerals (NYO) although the real issue here is when is Nyota bust. I think it might be already. I look at Avanti and ask who is smarter: Tom Dobell of M&G, a Bulletin Board Moron or an institutional investor in bonds. I look at Koovs (KOOV), Essentra (ESNT) and Audiooboom (BOOM).

Audioboom – CEO shares purchase a vote of confidence… or not?

Published 1153 days ago

Shares in spoken‐word audio platform company Audioboom (BOOM) currently trade more than 20% higher at 3.5p on the back of an announcement that its Chief Executive Rob Proctor has purchased 650,000 shares in the company at 2.98p each. Hmmm…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 17 March - you just cannot be Sirius

Published 1165 days ago

I start with two matters from yesterday's Budget which I neglected to mention in my otherwise excellent post Budget podcast HERE. The I move not to Sirius Minerals (SXX), which I shall cover in a seperate article elsewhere following a chat with Chris Frazer which left me quite impressed, but to Sirius Petroleum (SRSP) which is a dog with fleas and whose placing today stinks. Then it is onto Wandisco (WAND), Gulf Keystone (GKP) - where are my fucking apologies from the morons? - Audioboom (BOOM), Challenger Acquisitions (CHAL) and the uber perma dog Sareum (SAR) before I engage in a lengthy discussion on Fitbug (FITB) another perma dog.

Audioboom 2015 results & Q1 2016 update, it reckons ‘obvious delight’, I (& the market) again disagree…

Published 1174 days ago

Rob Proctor, CEO of spoken-word audio platform, Audioboom (BOOM) states “I and the team are obviously delighted with our progress during Q1. With the appointment of commercial directors in the USA, UK and India, combined with increased activity of the Cumulus media sales team, I believe that Audioboom is now acutely focussed on the key elements of its business, allowing it to target revenue growth and long-term profitability for shareholders”. The shares though are currently down more than 10%, at 3.125p. Hmm…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 8 March: Solgold & Rose Petroleum - just doing the ffing maths!

Published 1174 days ago

It is International Women's Day and I ponder how to celebrate now that the Mrs has cooked my breakfast and been made aware that my West Ham shirt needs cleaning. Then to the markets. Solgold (SOLG ) announced its placing last night - as I flagged it would at the weekend HERE - next up is Rose Petroleum (ROSE) where I flagged up the timing of the placing it must surely announce soon 90 days ago HERE. It is just about doing the bloody maths. I have a detailed look at Audioboom (BOOM) and then have a new message for the disgraced failed CEO pig that is [email protected] My other podcast to which I refer on why the sordid deal with Turkey MUST make you vote for Brexit is HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 4 March - Arguing with a Drunken Sailor as rats jump ship from AIM

Published 1178 days ago

Rules are rules and whether it is soccer playing sex offenders or AIM Companies you have to stick to them. Moreover a COI is a COI even if sign off on and some may be legally kosher but are morally wrong. I refer to my rows with DS on 3Legs Resources (3LEG). I look at Monitise (MONI), rats leaving AIM, viz Edge Resources (EDG) & UMC Energy (UEP). I ask where is the fraud at African Potash (AFPO)? And then - to entertain Wildes - I look at LGO Energy (SHITE) again as well as at Iofina (IOF) - when will it fess up? I also ask a question of Audioboom (BOOM)

Yolo – in the spirit of St Valentine, please allow me to play Cupid

Published 1196 days ago

One other point I wanted to highlight in the world of the subscale investment companies is the incestuous nature of the beast and although there are many I could have looked at, I have chosen Yolo Leisure and Technology plc (YOLO).

Tom Winnifrith Bonus Bearcast - sell Audioboom ahead of the placing

Published 1205 days ago

Brought to you on Audioboom (BOOM). A few thoughts on why shares in er...Audioboom, are overvalued at 2.875p and why I see a placing as inevitable within the next few weeks.

Audioboom Group – another agreement announced, but cannot fool all of the people all of the time

Published 1208 days ago

Audioboom (BOOM) has announced “it has been selected as one of 11 podcast/spoken word content partners for the new look Google Play application in the USA”. This follows an announcement last month of the signing of a partnership Heads of Terms with leading Indian film company Eros, but the shares are continuing to head lower – currently at 3.375p having commenced the year at more than 4p and been briefly over 16p in 2014. The following reviews…

Finally a look at Tertiary Minerals (TYM) and Concha (CHA)

Audioboom Group – year-end trading update; CEO Rob Proctor claims “success”, I (& the market) disagree…

Published 1259 days ago

Spoken-word audio platform group Audioboom (BOOM) has updated first on its ‘KPIs’ (including the likes of record total monthly and quarterly listens, 859 new content channels added during the quarter and over 275,000 new registered users signing up) and then on its financials & outlook; including “revenues increased significantly on the previous year but are below market expectations” and “shift in timing and pace of adoption will have an impact on expected full year revenues for 2016”. Armstrong Ventures – rinse and repeat

Published 1312 days ago

“A big deal is on the way”, “heads of terms being agreed right now”, “contract to be signed in a week”, “the news will be massive”; these are just some of the rumours currently ricocheting round about AIM tiddler Armstrong Ventures (AVP). Priced at 0.0169p and with a modest 23billion shares in issue, Armstrong Ventures’ market cap is £3.9million. Putting money into a stock like this is the investment equivalent of playing with fire, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make a turn on it - so long as you dive for the exit at the right moment.

Tom Winnifrith BearCast 21 September - What a great Norfolk spotting day

In no particular order I discuss Geong (GNG), Vmoto (VMT), Jiasen (JSI), JQW (JQW), RSA (RSA), Boohoo (BOO) - why the UK's top share blogger Paul Scott is wrong - LGO Energy (LGO), oil prices, Antrim Energy (AEY), Belgravium (BVM), Arian Silver (AGQ), Audioboom (BOOM), Proxama Resources (PROX) and in a bit of detail Seeing Machines (SEE).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 9/11 - Looking back & forward & a rip roaring day on AIM

Published 1353 days ago

It is 9/11 and I look back 14 years. I also reflect on the Orwellian way we all viewed Syria earlier this week. Looking forward, we have sold 90% of the restaurant in Clerkenwell to the pizza hardman Darren Atwater. we end up slightly ahead on the deal but I have had enough of running businesses and blame my own old age and the Tories for that. This is the start of my wind-down. On AIM its a cracking day with another China fraud kill, China Chaintek (CTEK) and more fun and games at Mosman Oil & Gas (MSMN), Redhall (RHL), Monitise (MONI), Sefton Resources (SER, Cloudbuy (CBUY) and Golden Saint Resources (GSR). And I am getting into bed with Rob Proctor of Audioboom (BOOM). Not literally but...well I explain in full. in the podcast.

The Pizza hardman meets Rob Proctor of Audioboom

Published 1354 days ago

AudioBoom (BOOM) is a perplexing company. It feels like a tech start-up but, rather than pursue round after round of venture capital, AudioBoom last year instead listed on AIM. It currently sits at 5p per share. Two days ago, it was announced that YOLO Leisure & Technology (the Candy Brothers) had bought one million shares at 3p each.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 10 September - falling down the stairs

Published 1354 days ago

A relatively short podcast today from Shipston in Warwickshire as I am recovering from falling down the stairs. No. Before you ask, I was sober as a judge. On the agenda today: a chat with Nigel Wray, Sefton Resources (SER), Gable (GAH), Herencia Resources (HER), China Chaintek (CTEK) and Tern. I forgot to mention Audioboom (BOOM) - more on that tomorrow.

Tom Winnifrith BearCast 7 September - Flip Flop the "drug dealer", the bank robber and Audioboom

Published 1357 days ago

What a total waste of a day, dealing with Dan Levi (the bank robber, reformed) vs Ben Turney (the legal drug dealer, reformed). Dan's expose is HERE. Ben's response is HERE. What a total waste of my day, I am so tempted to just give up altogether. But isntead I outline why the prohibition never works and how I am responding to the allegations: by wasting money on bringing in a barrister to investigate them in full for a report we will publish here. Then I turm to Audioboom (BOOM) and NorthWest Investment Group (NWIG). If the world was different I'd be booking a one way ticket to Greece and throwing my laptop in the sea. Surely both Dan and Ben can go after real villains and just leave me in peace.

Audioboom Group – substantial existing equity stake placed out… but at a substantial discount…

Published 1357 days ago

With its shares have risen towards 17p last year and commenced 2015 at more than 10p, a bearish stance on Audioboom Group (BOOM) has proven wise since – with the shares slipping below 4p last month. The announcement of the placing out of an existing equity stake of 10.8% in the company has though currently helped the shares recover a further approaching 17%, to 5.25p, but does this change the picture here?
