The November 2017 edition of the UK Investor Magazine is now live: confronting the new takeover code, five buy share tips (and three sells), plus what are they drinking in Scotland?
Safestyle UK – third profit warning in less than 5 months, though still reckons “modest growth” for 2018. Hmmm…
Best of the Best – increases VAT recovery claim, but hit by currently expected impact of Remote Gaming Duty

I don’t think I’ve covered 3i Group (iii) before. For one thing, it’s an unattractive brand name, not meaning anything obvious. Secondly, it invests in companies, which we, as canny share shifters, are capable of doing on our own. Then our money is not eaten away by administration costs. But this company is now bowling along and you may want to consider climbing aboard.

This week's Bulletin Board Moron contest is sponsored by Darren Mercer, the CEO of BNN, suspended by his own board. In an unrelated incident, Mercer was suspended by the Jockey Club for betting against his own horse. We thank him for his support.

Sometimes for routine incompetence but more normally for attempting to publish the sort of money tree worship inspired fake news that should be the preserve of the BBC and the Guardian, pizza hardman Darren Atwater gets fired at least once a week by ShareProphets. Naturally he is reinstated almost immediately. The winner of this week's BBM Contest gets to fire Darren next Monday by mail or in person. What a prize!

As seen here, Telit's (TCM) distributers are a, um, diverse lot, including a distributer in Vietnam that appears to be a scooter courier firm. Which is nice, and thank you for sponsoring this week's Bulletin Board Moron search.

Just three months ago some of Britain's top fund managers ploughed more than 50 million dollars into a placing organised by AIM dog Telit Communications despite numerous warnings from ourselves and others. But they knew better and anyhow it was other people's money. The shares have collapsed today to less than half the placing price after the most awful set of interims. But the fund managers will still earn Inter City salaries + ( more than 125) and fat bonuses so who cares? Are there any folks in the share world dumber than those fund managers? Er....

Former ShareSoc chairman Roger Lawson, who has threatened to sue Tom Winnifrith, is the sponsor of this week's Bulletin Board Moron contest. Yes he sponsored last week's contest as well but the disgraced share ramper is such a prize dick and still has a few of the Globo sharesw he promoted so thusiastically to hand out as a prize so Roger is back again.

Today's the day that African Potash gets slung from the NEX markets or has the rules bent for them, so in normal circumstances it would sponsor this week's contest. But there is an even better sponsor, step forward disgraced share ramper Roger Lawson of ShareSoc infamy who will donate some of the Globo shares he owns as a prize. Natch, Ramper Lawson sold most of his Globo shares before telling readers to sell, but he still has some left and even offered to help the management take the company forward.

It's a duopoly of duds this week. What to do? There were few entries last week, which seems to show that the bulletin board posters on LSE and ADVFN and III have all been sensible and humble for the past seven days.

iii, aka Interactive Investor, do not seem happy at being called total bastards for changing the terms for holding client money so that clients, that is mug punters like you and I, get more risk and iii gets more money. It says that this is not the objective of what is going on any anyhow other stockbrokers such as Hargreaves Lansdown and the Share Centre are doing the same thing. As such I am happy to clarify " I apologise for saying that iii are total bastards. I meant to say that iii like many other stockbrokers including Hargreaves Lansdown and the Share Centre are total bastards." The iii spokesman is keen that I put this all in context. iii's comments are in bold, my translation service is below.

Now that disgraced Roger "ramper" Lawson is no longer in charge of the ShareSoc blog it can, now and again, have some cracking material - today it exposes Interactive Investor Limited for putting its clients cash at risk to screw extra cash out of them. This is shocking. and anyone with a stockbroking account at iii or TD Waterhouse which it now owns should open an account elsewhere and start moving spare cash and the proceeds of share sales there. iii is clearly run by total bastards.

Thanks to a last minute sponsorship from China, where the financial director of Aquatic Foods (AFG) has walked out, we're pleased to open another round of AIM's favourite game show: Who is the Bulletin Board Moron of the Week!? Maybe we could start by naming the brokers who usrged folk to buy this stock? Did the Investor Chronicle tip the shares or is this the 1 China fraud it did not promote?

The nauseating Mail on Sunday fawned upon Pippa Middleton and her ghastly family as they celebrated the "wedding of the Year". Bring on the revolution! But perhaps the real wedding of the year should be between our two very own in-house Bulletin Board Morons GrannySnuffs & Wildes who seem made for each other. can you find examples on the LSE Asylum, iii, ADVFN or twitter of comments more idiotic than those of our own dream team?
