Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Woodford and another £10m down the Proton Partners pan - a new valuation scandal

That suggestion in Friday’s contest was not the answer I was looking for. Mr Mercer has many failings, not least his despicable part in the Roger Scruton witch hunt, but I bet the ranch that he does not wear women’s underwear. There were a number of suggestions as to who of Amber Rudd MP, Mercer, Simon Hume Kendall and Julie “Lingerie on expenses” Meyer was the odd one out as you can see HERE.

I am delight to see that a mere 26 days after we exposed the looming scandal involving my beloved West Ham United and its mini bond short sponsor Bassett & Gold, that the deadwood press ( The Sunday Telegraph) has picked up on the matter. As ever the MSM well on the ball, what a suprise that newspaper sales are tanking. But the story gets worse as I can now reveal....

Let us be clear: Johnny Mercer, the Tory MP is not involved in the London & Capital Finance scandal which we have done so much to expose. But he is personally profiting from what will prove to be the financial scandal of the year, the mini-bond mis-selling affair, and his reaction to criticism of his behaviour is lamentable.

Neil Woodford, Julie Meyer, and, wouldn't you know it, Chris Oil are all subjects of the 20 most read ShareProphets stories of 2019. Read these crackers for an indication on how the rest of the year will go.

The story that I think truly shows the value of ShareProphets this week is: SHOCKING: ADVFN promotes an insolvent mini bond ponzi - welcome to Burrito Bonds by Tom.

The video below makes for pretty sorry viewing. It is hard not to feel sorry for LCF bondholders who will lose 80% of the cash they thought they were investing in “safe” bonds. But should they be compensated?

The scandal about the £240 million London & Capital Finance ponzi, which we have done so much to expose here, grows by the day. The real scandal is that it is just the tip of the mini-bond iceberg and those politicians such as Nicky Morgan on the LCF case should now, as a matter of urgency, be looking at other schemes that are still taking in money such as the West Ham promoted one we exposed HERE. But back to LCF and Amber Rudd.

London & Capital Finance, which we have done so much to expose here, is just the tip of what will prove to be an enormous mis-selling scandal where, naturally, the overpaid poltroons at the FCA have been 100% asleep at the wheel. Yesterday I raised massive questions about the West Ham promoted Basset & Gold scheme, today let’s look at Future Renewables Eco PLC…

76 year old Fleet Street Legend Brian Basham is one of the rogue bloggers walking for Woodlarks this year. At his age that is impressive and is something you should sponsor here. Basham was also an ace spin doctor in his time (notably for Mo Al Fayed) and is enraged at the way Simon Hume Kendall has stolen cash from the victims of the LCF ponzi, mostly pensioners like Brian, and has donated £65,000 to Amber Rudd’s local party and to Tory central office. Basham has written to Ms Rudd and his letter follows:

If you had told me last year that 48 hours after Independence Day we would still be in the European Union, I would ask you have a glass of the same thing that you were drinking.

The administrator's first report into ponzi London & Capital Finance is damning and folks are certainly heading to jail including Amber Rudd's pal and donor Simon Hume Kendall. We publish it in full below. The helicopter for the CEO, the horsebox on the balance sheet the money lent to an insider to buy racehorses, the cash pocketed directly by folks including Amber Rudd's pal Simon Hume Kendall. Bondholders are warned they will get just 20p in the pound back. This is truly revolting.

In today's podcast I explain why Julie Meyer has spurred me to battle on, though I do consider calling it a day now and again. I look at Quindell (QPP), London & Capital Finance, Neil Woodford, and flag up that the FCA has opened or stepped up an enquiry into another company I covered in some detail. You can speculate which, more details when Winnileaks comes good. I look at Red Emperor (RMP), IQE (IQE), Verseon (VERS) and Blue Jay Mining (JAY). If you enjoyed this, I think, profanity free bearcast, follow a bloke from the Grim North who donated enough to buy a whole house in the welfare safari and support the Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.

The administrator of London & Capital Finance has now laid bare the extent of the scandal which, as you can see HERE, this website has exposed. This mess, that the FCA overlooked until it was too late, will leave thousands of (mostly) elderly savers losing money on what they thought were low risk investments. This is a £236 million horror story as you can see in full in the document below.

Wellesley Finance is another minibond lender provider and also a peer to peer lender. It shares
some features in common with London and Capital Finance Plc (in administration) and Blackmore
Bonds Plc ( as we showed HERE technically insolvent). It offers attractive headline rates of return better than the banks albeit lower than London and Capital and Blackmore. The directors report for Wellesley Group for
2017 shows that it had borrowed at an average rate of 4.17% in the year. The latest interest rate
offer is up to 7% per annum

Like London and Capital Finance (LCF) which has now collapsed into administration and is under FCA investigation, Blackmore Bond Plc also offers high yield bonds. It is currently offering 3 Year loans offering 7.9% every year with interest paid quarterly and 5 year bonds offering 9.9% every year paid quarterly. LCF’s 14,000 bondholders now face an almost certain capital loss on their “safe” investments

In this podcast I discuss a generous offer from Angus Energy (ANGS) then the kill (London & Capital Finance) now shown as a ponzi, and the possible kills to come: Alien Metals UFO) formerly Arian Silver (AGC) - stick that in your pipe Yellow Jersey motherfuckers - Telit (TCM) and Cabot Energy (CAB). Tick tock. Tick tock. I also look at Reach4Entertainment (R4E) and discuss what happens when bad management meets good assets and then what happens when a good manager arrives. Suffice to say, Reach is very cheap indeed.

AIM Casino listed Independent Oil & Gas (IOG) is dependent on financing from London Oil & Gas which in turn is dependent on financing ( repayable on demand) from a ponzi called London & Capital Finance now the subject of a full FCA raid and lockdown. We have covered this extensively already but there is more...

I was re-watching the movie last night and ask the question. I discuss signs that the FCA really is getting stuck in, albeit too late. I look at too good to be true investments starting with London & Capital Finance. I look at house prices and why I think that bad data gives far too rosy a view. I look at US jobs data yesterday and what that means for base rates. And I look at the big short positions in AIM stocks. Don't bet against the bears! Now off to West Ham.

As I noted yesterday, London's second worst Nomad,, FinnCrap (FCAP), and Independent Oil & Gas (IOG) served up a wholly misleading response to my Thursday bombshell. Now for a detailed drill down on the maths to reveal the extent of that deception….
