Stanley Gibbons bid approach - maybe mad Edi is not mad after all?

Published 45 days ago

This has been an awfu sharel tip and so, as a shareholder myself, I almost welcome an end to my suffering. I am sure the bidder is looking to pick up assets on the cheap and won't pay anything like a full price but at least the shares are up by 2.125p to 13.25p mid.

The Odey Death Portfolio

I explain why I disagree with Malcolm Stacey's article today. I then look at a number of AIM stocks set to slide and why, as I refer to Steve's piece earlier. In focus: Avanti Communications (AVN), Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO), Telit (TCM), Boohoo (BOO), Tungsten (TUNG), Fastjet (FJET), Cloudtag (CTAG), African Potash (AFPO) and I have a few words about Worthington (WRN)

Evening Standard: Lifting ShareProphets stories without attribution - dick sucking

Natch there is no attribution... the Standard would not want its readers to know where it gets its old news dressed up as news from would it?

Disgraced Equities First is back: covert £3m share dumping by Edi Truell at Tungsten

Published 277 days ago

Equities First Holdings is back. You remember those chaps who "borrowed" shares from folks like Andrew Austin at IGAS, fraudster Rob Terry at Quindell (QPP) and Ronald Duncan at Cloudbuy (CBUY). Shares in all three companies crashed and all defaulted on the loans so completing what was in effect a hidden share sale. After almost two years the disgraced shysters of EFH are back and this time it is Edi Truell of Tungsten (TUNG) infamy who is dumping shares but wants to hide the fact.

Watchstone Group, Thoughts on a Daft Proposal from Edi Truell’s Tantalum Corporation

Published 461 days ago

I was amused to see my suspicions confirmed today by the Telegraph (TW Note only 24 hours after me in bearcast) that the “draft proposal” received by Watchstone Group PLC (WTG) did indeed emanate from Edi Truell and Tantalum, his telematics vehicle. I shorted some Watchstone at 230p as, all things being equal, the shares should revert to where they were before the announcement once it is confirmed that the blundering Truell has nothing to offer.

Watchstone does not want mad Edi's paper, no-one else wants its shite assets

Watchstone(WTG), the company formerly known as Quindell (QPP) has said that it turned down a share based offer from a private company for its hot-potch of useless cash burning and often fraudulent assets. I shall be giving up expressing my undiluted admiration for Britain's leading chanteuse Ms Cheryl Cole. Back to shares and I discuss what is real asset backing and what is it worth with relation to Allied Minds (ALM) and Cambian (CMBN) and a piss poor trading statement from Tungsten (TUNG). Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 5 January - Odey gets fingers burned badly on Home Retail - remember the Young Ones?

Published 568 days ago

Apparently when going short of Home Retail (HOME) uber-posh fund manager Crispin Odey made some fairly nasty comments about poor people (aka folks who buy shares in David Lenigas companies). Well he has been burned today and that reminds me of a classic episode of The Young Ones (see below).  I reflect on why shorting is a bad risk reward play and what that means and also on the idiocy of buying by following fund managers. I mention Tungsten (TUNG) and Allied Minds (ALM) in this respect. Elsewhere I ponder Totally (TLY) and the wisdom - in this case - of Wildes and then Greka Drilling (GDL), Evocutis (EVO) and Golden Saint (GSR).

W Resources finally nearing project go ahead, but is it a buy?

Published 736 days ago

Out-of-favour tungsten hopeful W Resources (WRES) says the authorities in south-west Spain’s Extremadura region have granted environmental approval sooner than expected for a fast track mine within the company’s La Parrilla project. Chairman Michael Masterman says W Resources now hopes to receive full development approval in September, which, he suggests, ‘will be the next key step paving the way for first mine production in 2016.’

So what is Quindell really worth? Probably not 0p but it could be

Published 737 days ago

Shares in the biggest stockmarket fraud for 30 years, Quindell (QPP), are currently suspended at 124p valuing it at around £625 million on a fully diluted basis. But what is it actually worth? Some brokers are marking it down to 0p because of the suspension but it is probably not worth 0p – thanks to the folly of the Aussie prats at Slater & Gordon – but it might just be.

Tom Winnifrith BearCast - 21 May - delayed by IT snags

Published 796 days ago

Another mellow, okay not entirely mellow podcast from Greece. Naturally there is mention of snakes in the introduction and then a few words on how Zak Mir simply is not dominating this website but even though charting is palpable nonsense we aim to please. Then onto a detailed look at why markets are being driven higher by crony capitalists using other folks cash and HAVE to retrace sharply. Then there is another see you in Court bitchez challenge - to a lying scumbag from Lombard Risk, comment on the China Norfolk China Chaintek and then onto a detailed look at the dog Tungsten.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 19 May - another snake encountered and snakes telling lies on AIM

Published 799 days ago

Yes, this time it was at the Greek Hovel less than 15 yards from the building. And I was just 3 or 4 foot away. Cripes. I really do not like snakes which brings me on to Philip Crawford on Lombard Risk and Nomad Charles Stanley which today signed off on an OUTRIGHT LIE of an RNS penned by Crawford. I have a 14 year old score to settle with the tosser Crawford and so accuse him of lying to investors today. Is that not against AIM rules? Elsewhere I look at Tungsten, Plus 500, Sefton, Coms and Rose Petroleum which are all sells. Events at Rose have moved fast since the bearcast vindicating me (see HERE)

A tale of two updates: Avanti and Tungsten

Published 799 days ago

Both Avanti Communications (AVN) and Tungsten Corporation (TUNG) had trading updates last week. The knee jerk response to both was to mark the shares higher before slamming into reverse, in the case of Tungsten within minutes and with brutal consequences, whereas Avanti has experienced a gentle drift to just below the pre update level of 230p.

And then for some folks out there - including Chris Oil - I explain what constitutes market abuse and/or insider dealing and what the FCA should do about what is NOT a victimless crime.

Edison is paid to puff Tungsten but cannot bring itself to do so, so writes garbage - SELL

Paid for researcher Edison is paid by companies to produce notes. The hooker never tells her client how small his cock is she just gets on with it and thus Edison is always looking on the bright side. But in its utterly misleading note on Tungsten (TUNG) out today, even the rent-boy of the research world cannot bring itself to say buy. That is a pretty big Red Flag.

Published 803 days ago

Tungsten Corp (TUNG) has updated that it “expects the unaudited financial results for the financial year to be above the board's expectations at the time of the announcement of the company's interim results”. Tungsten Trading Statement Preview - I stay short big time.
