New World Oil & Gas; embezzlement arrest warrant for director’s wife

By Ben Turney | Friday 1 May 2015

Disclosure: I own shares in one or more of the stocks mentioned. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

New World Oil & Gas (NEW) has not issued an RNS to confirm whether or not Bill Kelleher has repaid the several hundred thousand dollars he owes the company or if he has left his role as a well-paid technical advisor. Frankly, New World should have done, but we’ve now been passed some other interesting information concerning one of the directors’ wives. It appears that the Kazakh Department of the Agency for Public Service and Anti-Corruption is seeking the arrest of Peter Sztyk’s wife for “misappropriation or embezzlement of entrusted property”.

This link takes you to the web page, which displays the public arrest warrant for Mr Sztyk’s wife, complete with photograph;

In case your Russian isn’t up to speed here is the incredibly helpful Google Translate’s translation of the arrest warrant;

“Dzhardemali Botagoz Mirzahanқyzy, 10.07.1976 year of birth, a native of the city of Almaty, accused of committing a crime under Article 176 part 3, p. ', B "of the Criminal Code" Misappropriation or embezzlement of entrusted property. " The new wording of paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code, part 3 st.189 RK.Pri establishment sought or received any information on his whereabouts, please notify the initiator of Investigation at: 050002, Almaty, Zhibek Zholy Street, 15. The Department of the Agency for Public Service and Anti-Corruption of Almaty, contact phone numbers: 8 (727) 278-73-55 - Department of Investigation, 278-73-00 - duty portion 8-701-225-23-33 - mob.

Department of Almaty”

If there were any doubt that Dzhardemali Botagoz Mirzahanқyzy is Mr Sztyk’s wife, when the couple got married a Canadian journal,, published a gushing review of one of their happy days. Obligingly this article also had photos.

It turns out that Mr Sztyk and Ms. Dzhardemali (Jardemalie) had two ceremonies; one in Montreal and the other in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Coincidentally the Kazakh Department of the Agency for Public Service and Anti-Corruption is also based in Almaty.

If you fancy a little bit of light Bank Holiday reading over the weekend, you can read all about the couple’s celebrations below.

It is unclear whether or not Mr Sztyk and Ms. Dzhardemali are still married, but we can be fairly sure she is unlikely to want to return to Almaty anytime soon.
