Bulletin Board Morons on Optibiotix and Tom Winnifrith share dumping

By Tom Winnifrith | Wednesday 3 May 2017

Disclosure: Financial Investigative Media Limited, which is not owned by Tom Winnifrith but by a trust for his dependants, owns shares in companies mentioned in this article. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

Morning Tom, people on the BB speculating you have sold your OPTI holding, can you confirm please?Thank you. That was one of the emails that I received this morning. The short answer is "its bollocks" but perhaps this merits a longer answer.

Firstly one wonders on what basis those who assert that I have bought or sold any given share make such claims. Do they have access to the FIML share dealing accounts where such trades would show up? Er no they do not. So they might as well speculate on what I had for breakfast? That would be three pieces of brown bread and marmite since you ask. It shows the value of BBs. Folks post bollocks and other folks think that this should be taken seriously. Jeepers.

Secondly we would not sell any shares in Optibiotix (OPTI) as we do not need the cash and for the reasons explained HERE think that they are very cheap indeed.

And thirdly, if we are going to sell any share we tip - and Optibiotix is a live tip on HotStockRockets - we tell our readers first and only sell if indeed we do sell - at least 24 hours later. There has been no such sell advice.

I am loath to respond to such idiotic speculation since some might think it forms a precedent that I must respond to all such idiotic speculation. But if you understand the ground rules above, maybe you will see why there is no need to respond in future.

Anyone who buys or sells shares on the basis of the crap that is posted on Bulletin Boards needs their head examined.
