No comment is needed. The release speaks for itself and is utterly massive news about the expansion of our annual show.
The country's best attended one day investment show is delighted to announce a massively enhanced main stage speaker line-up for its 2018 event on 21 April as well as its biggest ever partnership deal. UK Investor Show will henceforth be known as The Global Group UK Investor Show after securing a three year, six figure per annum, sponsorship deal with Dr Johnny Hon's Global Group.
Dr Hon will again be speaking at the event on the investment opportunity that China presents and the big names from the sell-out 2017 show are all returning: including Nigel Wray, Vin Murria, Mark Slater, Paul Scott, Lucian Miers, David Lenigas and Dominic Frisby.
But this year will see the arrival of three new big name speakers on the main stage: property legend Nick Leslau, restaurant guru and Sunday Times columnist Luke Johnson and Ed Croft of Stockopedia.
In 2017 more than 3,000 investors, keen to learn how to make more money from shares, attended UK Investor Show making it, by far, the country's largest one day investor event. With an increased marketing budget funded by the Global Group title partnership deal, this year's attendance will be in excess of 3,500.
The 2017 event saw 123 PLC stands with the vast majority of exhibitors being AIM and fully listed companies and around three quarters of attending companies also gave a 20 minute presentation on the day. This year there will be 135 stands made available and already, more than eleven months ahead of the event, more than half of the available stands have been reserved.
The Global Group UK Investor Show is jointly owned by the families of Nigel Wray, the man dubbed Britain's Buffett, and investigative journalist Tom Winnifrith.
Show organiser Lucy Wray commented:
"This is the start of a very exciting new chapter for us! Thanks to the support of Global Group we can already promise that The Global Group UK Investor Show 2018 will be the biggest and most exciting and informative event in its 16 year history. Cracking new speakers such as Ed Croft, Luke Johnson and Nick Leslau complement the stars of 2017, Slater, Murria, Hon, Frisby, Lenigas and Nigel Wray, and this cements the show's unchallenged status as the must go to investor show of the year. We have a long-term vision of where we would like to take The Global Group UK Investor Show so watch this space!"
Sales executive Joe Wray added:
"Delegates at the 2017 event were sophisticated investors with an average investment portfolio of almost £500,000. They commented favourably on the range and quality of companies exhibiting and it is gratifying that so many of those companies have already rebooked for 2018. But the dominance of this show has also already attracted new companies from a range of sectors which will make the 2018 event even bigger, better and more varied than 2017".
