This despite the whiz-bang vaccination programme here and the gradual return to normality. Well, after a hesitant start this week, the stock market has at last begun to recover. The new momentum was helped along by a prediction from the Bank of England that the economy will surge by a whopping 7.25% this year. That’s the biggest leap for 70 years.
