World Cup – who’s going home early?! England? Spain?!!!!

I was hesitant about yesterday’s pick. The pre-match prices on Belgium and Brazil to win weren’t good enough. In-game there were some fantastic odds on Belgium especially, but overall it was a disappointing day. Brazil’s 0-0 draw with Mexico just goes to show there is no such thing as a sure thing in sports betting. If Brazil fail to take their chances in the knockout stages and put in a similar display to yesterday’s they could find themselves in some trouble. The swagger of last summer’s crushing Confederations Cup victory is missing from this year’s tournament hosts, but I remain confident they will still triumph. I’ve staked more on Brazil to win the competition today at 4.9 on Bwin, but in the meantime there are two more rounds of group fixtures and some big teams are in real trouble.
