And here is today’s death threat for Tom Winnifrith

By Tom Winnifrith | Tuesday 26 August 2014

Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

Received by post at Real Man today, a charming letter with the address typed and a Mount Pleasant postmark ( ie sent from Central London). One can only speculate as to whether this fellow is a supporter of Hamas or a shareholder in Quindell (QPP). I suspect the latter. What a civilised world we live in.

You can read the brief but explicit letter HERE

Tom Winnifrith has just published his new e-book, The 49 Golden Rules of Making Money from oil, gas and mining shares. You can buy it on Amazon for £6.25 or you can order a FREE copy HERE

More on QPP

  1. Bang out of order, simple as that. This is not acceptable. The author must be seriously down on QPP, I hope he/she loses the lot.

  2. Sickening!
I hope the police can trace the person responsible.

  3. Take it to the cops in plastic bag. This is terrible, it’s only money after all.

  4. Police time for sure :(

  5. Grindertrader

I would certainly phone the police. Maybe this can be traced by finger prints etc.

  6. lostindenmark

I hope you have passed this on to the police. I second Duffs comments. Totally out of order.

  7. Ahhhhhh, takes me back to the notes my mum used to put in my school lunch box……..

  8. C H Ingoldby

There will be forensic evidence on the letter and envelope.

Please call the police as a service to the public in helping clear away nutters.

  9. Juicin Drumroll

Is there a bigger nutcase magnet in the universe than QPP?

  10. Seriously Tom, this one requires police involvement. Some of the crap and abuse you get is just banter but this one is sick.

  11. Yes I agree with all the above comments Tom, don’t let your staff touch that letter or envelope other than to carefully bag it.

Then complain to the police & ask them to collect the letter for forensic analysis.

Did it have a stamp on the envelope? There could be DNA under the stamp if its been licked by the sick, moronic cretin who sent it.

  12. Tom

    Agree with others, unacceptable!

Whilst we’re on the topic of insults etc, I am disappointed with your response to the chap re insp energy holdings. Is there any need for that type of insult?

I thought you were above that level of insult? I would expect to read that on the bb morons page, not shareprophets! Come on Tom, show a bit of class!

  13. We’re does it mention QPP
I condone the letter but saying it’s from a qpp investor is jumping the gun

  14. I disagree with most on this board, I think this letter has been sent from some bellend with no balls, there is more chance of the RAC deal happening than the contents of this letter coming to fruition. Too many ways of finding out who the mug is to take it seriously. Onwards and downwards QPP!! Bin it and move on TW.

  15. J P Spaghetti

Most unpleasant indeed but I agree with Bonanova – anyone who feels compelled to use four exclamation marks would seem to be all froth. Now if he (or she I guess) had threatened kidnap and subjection to classic Billy Bragg until you retract everything…well that would have been truly scary.

That’s not to say I don’t think there should be police involvement, however.

  16. JP.

    Bit harsh on Billy Bragg

“I was a fraudster, I cooked the books, I bodged the numbers at QPP, between the wars”

    A classic…

  17. call the police Tom. This person must of listened to your advise shorting CPP at 2p-3p/

  18. probably followed your short on CPP at 3p.

  19. Alan

Mmm I do a bad share tip and get a death threat. If it ever comes to court please turn up as a witness for the defence to serve this up as a mitigating circumstance.

Why do you think that when I read your post the word “wanker” sprang to mind?

  20. Coward, plain and simple. Take it to the rozzers.

  21. Unfortunately Tom – there are a lot of unhinged people in today’s society.

  22. ‘alot’ :\
