Over the past two weeks we have unearthed details of how senior WH Ireland (WHI) Stockbroker John Molyneux (now suddenly retired) systematically stiffed those with discretionary accounts into duff penny stocks, usually corporate clients. So far one 78 year old who lost c£330,000 has been given compensation of £150,000 – but this may be the tip of the iceberg. So I have written to Business Secretary Sajid Javid asking him to intervene urgently.

It will be very interesting to see which way he responses, where are his priorities, looking out for honest dealing in the City or an easy life, being chummy with the crony capitalists.

Any shareholder who thinks this is disgraceful skulduggery should write to the chairman of any WHI-advised company they are invested in and demand that the company protect its good name by firing WHI.

In light of these revelations, I urged Fastjet plc to distance themselves from nomad, WH Ireland and was pleased to see this morning’s RNS appointing a new adviser. Hopefully Liberum will stand up to scrutiny…
