Notes from Underground - Hey! You! Get off of my (Sound)cloud

By Comrade Darren Atwater | Sunday 16 July 2017

Considering that Tom is on leave and won't be returning to Bearcasts in September, it's interesting to note that two items on the top-10 leaderboard are Tom's Bearcasts. We look forward to their increased popularity when he officially returns to them.

I also note such stories as this: SoundCloud reportedly facing financial trouble after firing London staff. Bearcast fans will of course note that ShareProphets stopped using Soundcloud for hosting the Bearcasts last year and changed to Audioboom. Coincidence?

The first non-Tom Winnifrith article is Will UK Oil and Gas ever produce large amounts of oil onshore in the UK? Er... sell! by Gary Newman at a terrific #5.

In the past seven days, 62,289 unique readers read 90,628 pages on ShareProphets. The circulation of the Investors Chronicle is c30,000. Shares is less than half of that. To our critics who think we do not count, we say think again.

Our top 10 most-read stories this week were:

  1. Reader poll: Who has been stupid enough to send Tom Winnifrith a lawyer's letter now?
  2. Tom Winnifritb Bearcast: lessons from Carillion, 88 Energy, MySQUAR and the faux political correctness of my father exposed
  3. UK Oil & Gas, the untrue RNS and a Nomad with no balls & not fit for purpose: WH Ireland
  4. SHOCKING: London Stock Exchange: Fraud on AIM is nothing to do with us, nothing we can (or will) do about it!
  5. Will UK Oil and Gas ever produce large amounts of oil onshore in the UK? Er... sell!
  6. Well done ShareSoc - iii exposed for screwing its customers out of £5m: time to switch stockbroker
  7. Interactive Investor ( iii) - We are not the only bastards in the stockbroker village
  8. When will Amanda van Dyke fess up to the bloody mess at Glenwick? 7 Questions
  9. Exclusive: Watchstone flogs another business back to the old Quenron gang - when will it tell the market?
  10. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: there are too many Ethiopians in Sound Oil's Moroccan fuel store
