Pathfinder Minerals: was shamed Nick Trew fired? Did he get a payoff for failure (and worse)? What about the disgraced Tory MP Sir Henry Bell-end?

By Tom Winnifrith | Tuesday 21 August 2018

Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

After years of earning £170,000 as a reward for being a total disaster as CEO of Pathfinder Minerals (PFP), the new board has taken just ten days to part company with Nick “not for the many but for the Trew” but massive questions remain.

The RNS says that Trew had “stepped down” and then praised him for his great commitment, enormous efforts, yak yak yak.  Look here: I have shown great commitment and made enormous efforts to bed Cheryl Cole but, although half the male population of London seems to not only have bedded Britain’s leading chanteuse but to have married her as well, like Trew I have achieved nothing. The only difference is that I have not earned £170,000 a year for my efforts. Trew has also failed to explain to the satisfaction of anyone other than disgraced former Nomad WH Ireland some unusual remuneration arrangements related to his mortgage needs.

So the useless fucker should have been fired and I guess he was “resigned” but what do you think his reward for failure (a payoff) will be? Those close to the action are yet to be forthcoming so I guess we will have to wait until the annual report to see how lucky Trew got.

What's the betting that like the ex CEO Of Falanx (FLX), Trew has secured an RNS that spares his blushes while at the same time trousering a Robin Hood in reverse big payoff, a transfer of wealth from the poor ( small shareholders) to the rich (useless AIM Casino fat cat bosses)?

But what about the other NED from the ancient regime, a man who whitewashed the Trew mortgage incident and already had his reputation stained before joining Pathfinder thanks to his involvement in the 3DM fraud. I refer of course to Toff Tory MP Sir Henry Bellingham. When are the new directors going to rid themselves of this useless and tainted waste of space and of shareholders funds?

With Trew gone Pathfinder should finally be able to make progress in resolving its problems in Mozambique. But to really show the folks out in Bongo Bongo land that the Augean stable has been cleansed,  there is one more P45 that needs issuing.  This time how about not sparing any blushes and when Sir Henry Bell-end goers just stating that he was asked to leave?
