Zac sticks his knife into Saffron (again) - damning comment

Shares in Saffron Energy (SRON) are suspended, as seems to be par for the course these days, but that has not stopped the City's No oil analyst Zac "The Knife" Phillips of SP Angel from sticking it to the company. His latest email is damning.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - My friend goes down for 21 months but the real story is Neil Woodford's £45m overdraft

My friend and former colleague the aristocrat Dru Edmonstone was - as widely reported - sentenced to 21 months last week for a £60,000 benefits fraud, something the pathetic wretch did to fund his spread betting addiction. I discuss this and ask does a case like that of Dru justify the current clampdown on spreadbetters. I think such a clampdown would not have stopped Dru for addicts will always find a way. I discuss the odd goings on at Saffron Energy (SRON) which hardly inspire confideence. But my main focus is on the revelation HERE by Cynical Bear that Neil Woodford's flagship £7.1 billlion fund has taken on an overdraft, as an emergency measure to fund either redemptions or a growing collection of falling knives or both. If Woodford believes what he says about markets being overvalued - and I do - this is a sign that Britain's most conceited fund manager has completely lost the plot and may be not that far from the final collapse.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: you don't sweet talk a journalist by patronising him

I had a call from Amur Minerals (AMC) yesterday to correct my bearish view. I did not appreciate the tone, I'd rather not be lectured.  I explain why I am still short term bearish although also put the company's view. I also explain to the woman dubbed the Harvey Weinstein of European tech, Julie Meyer MBE, why she has yanked the wrong tiger's tail. Elsewhere I comment on Saffron (SRON), Haike Chemical (HAIK) and Graphene Nanochem (GRPH). And now it is off to Greece. God willing tomorrow's podcast will be from Kalamata.

Zac the Knife attacks Saffron again after today's (very bad) news - calls for boardroom cull

The City's No 1 oil analyst Zac "The Knife" Phillips of SP Angel wants a board room cull at Saffron Energy (SRON). He is at his waspish best in a note released after today's news from Italy. I can't see that he is rating the shares as a buy. Over to "the knife" who opines:

Don't buy into the Saffron hype warns the City's No 1 oil analyst Zac The Knife

I am sure that having bought the duff Italian assets of Sound Energy (SOU), Saffron Energy (SRON) shares will be aggressively promoted when they return from suspension. All the usual suspects in team ramp are already making initial noises. But should we really get excited? The City's No 1 oil analyst, Zac "The Knife" Phillips of SP Angel thinks not and opines today:

Saffron Energy: The ramp is on already – it’s all in the name

I’ve been on holiday for a week in Italy (funnily enough) and am just catching up on a few interesting pieces of news and thought I would comment on the Saffron Energy (SRON) deal with Sound Energy (SOU) that was announced last week. Makes a lot of sense in many ways but I am disappointed by the scale of the James Parsons-led ramp that has started already supported in all the usual places.

Saffron Energy - The City's No 1 oil analyst Zac Phillips sticks his knife in and he has a point

I tipped shares in Saffron Energy (SRON) but urged folks to take profits some months ago. The shares were then 8p+ having listed at 5p. In recent weeks the shares have slithered back towards that 5p and I have been urged by folks to re-tip. I resisted that urge. Something was wrong. Now we all know what some folks have clearly known for a while, what the problem is.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Highlands Natural - Renegade, Rum & Coke

In today's bearcast I look in detail at Highlands Natural Resources (HNR) a true POS. I cover Angus Energy (ANGS), Saffron Energy (SRON) and Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO).

Buy Saffron Energy at up to 7p - target to sell 12p within months (or weeks)

We should declare that certain team members have invested in this IPO at 5p The IPO was last week and we tipped the stock on its first day of dealings. The shares are now 7p-7.5p - we do not expect any retracement but if there is and you can buy at 7p or less do so big time. We expect to be advising folks to be banking profits at 12p within weeks. Our tip as of last week reads:
