The Chairman's Blog 12: Sir Benjamin Dover of Global Mining Endeavours getting into Bath with Miss Skirt

By Tom Winnifrith | Saturday 10 September 2016

Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

Following the example set by Paul Warwick the chairman of worthless penny stock Andalas (ADL) in starting a blog, Sir Benjamin Dover of AIM listed Global Mining Endeavours has decided to follow suit and like Paul promises to be Candid in his approach. Blog number twelve....

10th September

It is the weekend and shareholders will be pleased to know that I am yet again hard at work on their behalf. Having returned to Dover towers in Surrey, late last evening after a hard week of devotion to the cause, I am already on my way to Bath and am dictating to Miss Skirt as we are driven by Chandler's limousines to the West Country.

Those jolly nice chaps at our Nomad Cantor Fitzgerald have suggested that my personal assistant Miss Skirt and I join them and a few other high profile CEOs for a day at their corporate box at Bath Rugby ground followed by a slap up seven course champagne dinner at the Queensberry Hotel where will also be staying tonight. Naturally, to save our Nomad a few bob so that it does not need to increase the retainer paid by Global Mining, Miss Skirt and I have volunteered to share accommodation. The sacrifices we make.

Apparently my friend Chris Cleverley of African Potash will be there as will a chap called Robert Terry who wants to float a company called Quob Park and who reckons that our adviser at Cantor, Mr Stewart Dickson, is just the sort of fellow he likes to work with. I hear that Mr Terry is a real whizz when it comes to building value via acquisition using novel funding structures. He's the sort of man who, without using any cliches, really likes to think outside the box, a sort of 2+2 can equal 5 fellow.

As I have noted in previous annual reports, it is important for key staff to network effectively in order to bring new ideas and work practices to businesses such as Global Mining Endeavours. And thus, although it is a weekend Miss Skirt and I will be hard at it once again, all in the service of our great company.

On that note, young Tim who is driving us today, tells us that we are almost there. I must dash. I have shareholder value to create all weekend.

To be continued.
